Salmos 5
1 Salmo de Davi para o regente, com instrumentos de sopro: SENHOR, escuta as minhas palavras; entende aquilo que estou meditando;
To the Chief Musician. For the Flutes. A Melody of David. To my words, give ear, O Yahweh, Understand thou my softly murmured prayer:
2 Ouve a voz do meu clamor, meu Rei e meu Deus; porque a ti eu oro.
Attend to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for, unto thee, do I pray.
3 SENHOR, pela manhã ouvirás minha voz; pela manhã apresentarei [meu clamor] a ti, e ficarei esperando.
O Yahweh! in the morning, shalt thou hear my voice, In the morning, will I set in order unto thee, and keep watch;
4 Porque tu não [és] Deus que tens prazer na maldade; contigo não habitará o mau.
For, not a GOD finding pleasure in lawlessness, art thou, and wrong can be no guest of thine:
5 Os arrogantes não ficarão de pé diante dos teus olhos; tu odeias todas os praticantes de maldade.
Boasters, shall not station themselves, before thine eyes, —Thou hatest all workers of iniquity:
6 Tu destruirás aos que falam mentiras; o SENHOR abomina ao homem sanguinário e enganador.
Thou wilt destroy them who speak falsehood, —The man of bloodshed and of deceit, Yahweh abhorreth.
7 Mas eu, pela grandeza de tua bondade, entrarei em tua casa; adorarei inclinado para o templo de tua santidade em temor a ti.
But, I, in the abounding of thy lovingkindness, will enter thy house, I will bow down towards thy holy temple, in reverence of thee:
8 SENHOR, guia-me em tua justiça, por causa dos meus adversários; prepara diante de mim o teu caminho.
O Yahweh! lead me in thy righteousness, because of mine adversaries, Make even, before me, thy way:
9 Porque não há verdade na boca deles; seu interior são meras destruições; a garganta deles é uma sepultura aberta; com suas línguas elogiam falsamente.
For in his mouth is nothing worthy of trust, Their inward purpose, is engulphing ruin, —An opened sepulchre, is their throat, With their tongue, speak they smooth things.
10 Declara-os culpados, ó Deus, [e] que caiam de seus próprios conselhos; expulsa-os por causa da abundância de suas transgressões, porque eles se rebelaram contra ti.
Declare them guilty, O God, Let them fall by their own counsels, —Into the throng of their own transgressions, thrust them down, For they have rebelled against thee: —
11 Mas se alegrem todos os que confiam em ti; clamai de alegria para sempre; porque tu os proteges; e fiquem contentes em ti aqueles que amam o teu nome.
That all may rejoice who seek refuge in thee, to times age-abiding, may shout in triumph, that thou wilt protect them, and they may leap for joy in thee who are lovers of thy Name.
12 Porque tu, SENHOR, abençoarás ao justo; como com um escudo tu o rodearás com tua bondade.
For, thou, wilt bless the righteous man, O Yahweh, As with an all-covering shield—with good pleasure, wilt thou encompass him.
