Salmos 47

1 Salmo para o regente, dos filhos de Coré: Vós todos os povos, batei palmas; clamai a Deus com voz de alegria.

For the Chief Musician; a Psalm of the sons of Korah. O clap your hands, all ye peoples; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.

2 Porque o SENHOR Altíssimo [é] temível, o grande Rei sobre toda a terra.

For the LORD Most High is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.

3 Ele subjugará aos povos debaixo de nós, e as nações debaixo de nossos pés.

He shall subdue the peoples under us, and the nations under our feet.

4 Ele escolhe para nós nossa herança, a glória de Jacó, a quem ele amou. (Selá)

He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. (Selah)

5 Deus sobe com gritos de alegria; o SENHOR, com voz de trombeta.

God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.

6 Cantai louvores a Deus, cantai; cantai louvores ao nosso Rei, cantai.

Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.

7 Porque Deus é o Rei de toda a terra; cantai louvores com entendimento.

For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding.

8 Deus reina sobre as nações; Deus se senta sobre o trono de sua santidade.

God reigneth over the nations: God sitteth upon his holy throne.

9 Os chefes dos povos se juntaram ao povo do Deus de Abraão, porque os escudos da terra pertencem a Deus, [e] ele é muito exaltado.

The princes of the peoples are gathered together [to be] the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God; he is greatly exalted.
