Salmos 27

1 Salmo de Davi: O SENHOR é minha luz e minha salvação; a quem temerei? O SENHOR é a força da minha vida; de quem terei medo?

A Psalme of David. The Lord is my light and my saluation, whom shall I feare? the Lord is the strength of my life, of whome shall I be afraide?

2 Quando os maus chegaram perto de mim, meus adversários e meus inimigos contra mim, para devorarem minha carne; eles mesmos tropeçaram e caíram.

When the wicked, euen mine enemies and my foes came vpon mee to eate vp my flesh; they stumbled and fell.

3 Ainda que um exército me cercasse, eu não temeria; ainda que uma guerra se levantasse contra mim, nisto mantenho confiança.

Though an hoste pitched against me, mine heart should not be afraide: though warre be raised against me, I will trust in this.

4 Pedi uma coisa ao SENHOR, [e] a ela buscarei: que eu possa morar na casa do SENHOR todos os dias de minha vida, para ver a beleza do SENHOR, e consultá-lo em seu Templo.

One thing haue I desired of the Lord, that I will require, euen that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the dayes of my life, to beholde the beautie of the Lord, and to visite his Temple.

5 Porque no dia mal ele me esconderá em seu abrigo; ele me encobrirá no oculto de sua tenda; [e] me porá sobre as rochas.

For in the time of trouble hee shall hide mee in his Tabernacle: in the secrete place of his pauillion shall he hide me, and set me vp vpon a rocke.

6 E minha cabeça será exaltada acima de meus inimigos, que estão ao redor de mim; e eu sacrificarei na tenda dele sacrifícios com alta voz; cantarei e louvarei ao SENHOR.

And nowe shall hee lift vp mine head aboue mine enemies rounde about mee: therefore wil I offer in his Tabernacle sacrifices of ioy: I wil sing and praise the Lord.

7 Ouve, SENHOR, minha voz, [quando] eu clamo; tem piedade de mim, e responde-me.

Hearken vnto my voyce, O Lord, when I crie: haue mercie also vpon mee and heare mee.

8 Ele diz a ti, meu coração: Buscai a minha face. Eu busco a tua face, SENHOR.

When thou saidest, Seeke ye my face, mine heart answered vnto thee, O Lord, I will seeke thy face.

9 Não escondas de mim a tua face, nem rejeites a teu servo com ira; tu tens sido meu socorro; não me deixes, nem me desampares, ó Deus de minha salvação.

Hide not therefore thy face from mee, nor cast thy seruat away in displeasure: thou hast bene my succour: leaue me not, neither forsake mee, O God of my saluation.

10 Porque meu pai e minha mãe me abandonaram, mas o SENHOR me recolherá.

Though my father and my mother shoulde forsake me, yet the Lord will gather me vp.

11 Ensina-me, SENHOR, o teu caminho; e guia-me pela via correta, por causa dos meus inimigos.

Teache mee thy way, O Lord, and leade me in a right path, because of mine enemies.

12 Não me entregues à vontade dos meus adversários, porque se levantaram contra mim falsas testemunhas, e também ao que sopra violência.

Giue me not vnto the lust of mine aduersaries: for there are false witnesses risen vp against me, and such as speake cruelly.

13 Se eu não tivesse crido que veria a bondade do SENHOR na terra dos viventes, [certamente já teria perecido].

I should haue fainted, except I had beleeued to see the goodnes of the Lord in the land of the liuing.

14 Espera no SENHOR, esforça-te, e ele fortalecerá o teu coração; espera pois ao SENHOR.

Hope in the Lord: be strong, and he shall comfort thine heart, and trust in the Lord.
