Salmos 16
1 Cântico de Davi: Guarda-me, ó Deus; porque eu confio em ti.
A Precious Psalm of David. Preserve me, O GOD, for I have sought refuge in thee.
2 Tu, [minha alma], disseste ao SENHOR: Tu és meu Senhor; minha bondade não [chega] até ti.
Thou hast said unto Yahweh, My Lord, art thou! My goodness, mounteth not unto thee.
3 [Mas] aos santos que [estão] na terra, e [a] os ilustres, nos quais está todo o meu prazer.
It belongeth unto the holy ones, whom, in his own land, Yahweh, ennobleth, In whom is all his delight
4 As dores se multiplicarão daqueles que se apressam [para servir] a outros [deuses]; eu não oferecerei seus sacrifícios de derramamento de sangue, e não tomarei seus nomes em meus lábios.
They multiply their idols—another, have they purchased! I will not pour out their drink-offerings of blood, nor will I take up their names on my lips.
5 O SENHOR é a porção da minha herança e o meu cálice; tu sustentas a minha sorte.
Yahweh, is mine allotted portion and my cup, Thou, art maintaining my lot.
6 Em lugares agradáveis foram postos os limites [do meu terreno]; sim, eu recebo uma bela propriedade.
The lines, have fallen unto me, in pleasant places, Verily an inheritance that delighteth me.
7 Eu louvarei ao SENHOR, que me aconselhou; até de noite meus sentimentos me ensinam.
I will bless Yahweh, who hath counselled me, —Surely, by night, shall mine impulses admonish me.
8 Ponho ao SENHOR continuamente diante de mim; porque [ele está] à minha direita; nunca serei abalado.
I have set Yahweh before me continually, because he is on my right hand, I shall not be shaken!
9 Por isso meu coração está contente, e minha glória se alegra; certamente minha carne habitará em segurança.
Therefore, hath my heart rejoiced, and mine honour exulted, Yea, my flesh, shall settle down securely;
10 Porque tu não deixarás a minha alma no Xeol, nem permitirás que teu Santo veja a degradação. (Sheol h7585)
For thou wilt not abandon my soul to hades, neither wilt thou suffer thy man of lovingkindness, to see corruption: (Sheol h7585)
11 Tu me farás conhecer o caminho da vida; fartura de alegrias [há] em tua presença; agrados estão em tua mão direita para sempre.
Thou wilt cause me to know, the path of life, —Fulness of joys before thee, Pleasures at thy right hand evermore.
