Salmos 149

1 Aleluia! Cantai ao SENHOR um cântico novo; [haja] louvor a ele na congregação dos santos.

Hallelujah! Sing to the LORD a new song— His praise in the assembly of the godly.

2 Alegre-se Israel em seu Criador; os filhos de Sião se encham de alegria em seu Rei.

Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the children of Zion rejoice in their King.

3 Louvem seu nome com danças; cantai louvores a ele com tamborim e harpa.

Let them praise His name with dancing, and make music to Him with tambourine and harp.

4 Porque o SENHOR se agrada de seu povo; ele ornará os mansos com salvação.

For the LORD takes pleasure in His people; He adorns the afflicted with salvation.

5 Saltem de prazer [seus] santos pela glória; fiquem contentes sobre suas camas.

Let the saints exult in glory; let them shout for joy upon their beds.

6 Exaltações a Deus [estarão] em suas gargantas; e espada afiada [estará] em sua mão,

May the high praises of God be in their mouths, and a double-edged sword in their hands,

7 Para se vingarem das nações, e repreenderem aos povos.

to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples,

8 Para prenderem a seus reis com correntes, e seus nobres com grilhões de ferro;

to bind their kings with chains and their nobles with shackles of iron,

9 Para executarem sobre eles a sentença escrita; esta [será] a glória de todos os seus santos. Aleluia!

to execute the judgment written against them. This honor is for all His saints. Hallelujah!
