Salmos 141

1 Salmo de Davi: Ó SENHOR, eu clamo a ti; apressa-te a mim; ouve minha voz, quando eu clamar a ti.

“A psalm of David.” O Lord, I call thee, hasten unto me: give ear unto my voice, when I call unto thee.

2 Apresente-se minha oração [como] incenso diante de ti; [e] o levantar de minhas mãos [como] a oferta do anoitecer.

May my prayer be valued as incense before thee, the lifting up of my hands, as the evening offering.

3 Põe, SENHOR, uma guarda em minha boca; vigia a abertura dos meus lábios.

Set, O Lord, a watch unto my mouth: keep a guard at the door of my lips.

4 Não inclines meu coração para as coisas más, para fazer o mal junto com homens que praticam maldade; e não coma eu das delícias deles.

Permit not my heart to incline after any evil thing, to practise deeds in wickedness with men that are doers of wrong: and let me not eat of their dainties.

5 Que o justo me faça o favor de me espancar e me repreender; [isto me será] azeite sobre a cabeça; minha cabeça não rejeitará, porque ainda orarei contra as maldades deles.

If the righteous strike me, it is a kindness; and if he reprove me, it is [as] oil poured on the head, my head shall not refuse it; for yet my prayer also [is offered] in their sufferings.

6 [Quando] seus juízes forem lançados contra a rocha, então ouvirão minhas palavras, porque [são] agradáveis.

Are their judges fallen down through means of a rock: then will they listen to my words; for they are pleasant.

7 Como quem lavra e fende a terra, assim nossos ossos são espalhados à entrada do Xeol. (Sheol h7585)

As when one cutteth in and splitteth open the earth: so are our bones scattered for the mouth of the grave. (Sheol h7585)

8 Porém meus olhos [estão voltados] para ti, ó Senhor DEUS; em ti confio; não desampares minha alma.

For unto thee, O Eternal Lord, are my eyes directed; in thee do I trust: pour not out my life.

9 Guarda-me do perigo da armadilha que me prepararam; e dos laços da cilada dos que praticam maldade.

Guard me from the power of the snare which they have laid for me, and the traps of the wrong-doers.

10 Caiam os perversos cada um em suas próprias redes, e eu passe adiante [em segurança].

Let the wicked fall into their own nets, altogether—while I pass safely by.
