Salmos 139
1 Salmo de Davi, para o regente: SENHOR, tu me examinas e me conheces.
To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David. Jehovah, thou hast searched me, and known [me].
2 Tu sabes o meu sentar e o meu caminhar; de longe entendes meus pensamentos.
Thou knowest my down-sitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off;
3 Tu cercas o meu andar e meu deitar; conheces desde antes os meus caminhos.
Thou searchest out my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways;
4 Mesmo não havendo [ainda] palavra [alguma] em minha língua, eis, SENHOR, que já sabes tudo.
For there is not yet a word on my tongue, [but] lo, O Jehovah, thou knowest it altogether.
5 Tu me envolves por detrás e pela frente, e pões tua mão sobre mim.
Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thy hand upon me.
6 [Teu] conhecimento é maravilhoso demais para mim, tão alto que não posso [alcançá] -lo.
O knowledge too wonderful for me! it is high, I cannot [attain] unto it.
7 Para onde eu escaparia de teu Espírito? E para onde fugiria de tua presença?
Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? and whither flee from thy presence?
8 Se eu subisse até os céus, lá tu [estás]; se eu fizer meu leito no Xeol, eis que tu [também ali estás]. (Sheol h7585)
If I ascend up into the heavens thou art there; or if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, thou [art there]; (Sheol h7585)
9 Se eu tomasse as asas do amanhecer, e morasse nas extremidades do mar,
[If] I take the wings of the dawn [and] dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 Até ali tua mão me guiaria, e tua mão direita me seguraria.
Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
11 Se eu dissesse: Certamente as trevas me encobrirão; e a luz ao redor de mim [será como] a noite.
And if I say, Surely darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night;
12 Porém nem mesmo as trevas [me] esconderão de ti; ao invés disso, [pois] a noite é tão clara quanto o dia, [e aos teus olhos] as trevas são como a luz.
Even darkness hideth not from thee, and the night shineth as the day: the darkness is as the light.
13 Porque tu és dono do meu ser, e me cobriste no ventre da minha mãe.
For thou hast possessed my reins; thou didst cover me in my mother's womb.
14 Eu te louvarei porque de um [jeito] assombroso e maravilhoso eu fui feito; maravilhosas [são] tuas obras; e minha alma sabe muito bem.
I will praise thee, for I am fearfully, wonderfully made. Marvellous are thy works; and [that] my soul knoweth right well.
15 Meus ossos não estavam escondidos de ti quando eu fui feito em oculto, e formado como tramas de tecido nas profundezas da terra.
My bones were not hidden from thee when I was made in secret, curiously wrought in the lower parts of the earth.
16 Teus olhos viram meu corpo [ainda] sem forma, e tudo estava escrito em teu livro; [até] os dias estavam determinados quando nenhum deles [ainda] havia.
Thine eyes did see my unformed substance, and in thy book all [my members] were written; [during many] days were they fashioned, when [as yet] there was none of them.
17 Como são preciosos para mim os teus pensamentos, Deus! Como é grande a quantidade deles!
But how precious are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!
18 Se eu os contasse, seriam muito mais [numerosos] que a areia; [quando] acordo, ainda estou contigo.
[If] I would count them, they are more in number than the sand. When I awake, I am still with thee.
19 Ah, Deus, tomara que mates ao perverso! E vós, homens sanguinários, afastai-vos de mim;
Oh that thou wouldest slay the wicked, O God! And ye men of blood, depart from me.
20 Porque eles falam de ti com maldade, [e] teus inimigos [se] exaltam em vão.
For they speak of thee wickedly, they take [thy name] in vain, thine enemies.
21 Por acaso, SENHOR, eu não odiaria aos que te odeiam? E não detestaria os que se levantam contra ti?
Do not I hate them, O Jehovah, that hate thee? and do not I loathe them that rise up against thee?
22 Eu os odeio com ódio completo; eu os considero como inimigos.
I hate them with perfect hatred; I account them mine enemies.
23 Examina-me, Deus, e conhece meu coração; prova-me, e conhece meus pensamentos.
Search me, O God, and know my heart; prove me, and know my thoughts;
24 E vê se em mim [há algum] mau caminho; e guia-me pelo caminho eterno.
And see if there be any grievous way in me; and lead me in the way everlasting.
