Salmos 13

1 Salmo de Davi, para o regente: Até quando, SENHOR, te esquecerás de mim? Para sempre? Até quando tu esconderás de mim o teu rosto?

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

2 Até quando refletirei em minha alma, [tendo] tristeza em meu coração o dia todo? Até quando o meu inimigo se levantará contra mim?

How long shall I take counsel in my soul, [having] sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

3 Olha [para mim, e] ouve-me, SENHOR meu Deus; ilumina os meus olhos, para que eu não adormeça [na] morte.

Consider [and] hear me, O LORD my God: lighten my eyes, lest I sleep [the sleep] of death;

4 Para que meu inimigo não diga: Eu o venci; e meus inimigos se alegrem, se eu vier a cair.

Lest my enemy say, I have prevailed against him; [and] those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

5 Mas eu confio em tua bondade; em tua salvação meu coração se alegrará;

But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

6 Cantarei ao SENHOR, porque ele tem me feito muito bem.

I will sing to the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
