Salmos 107
1 Agradecei ao SENHOR, porque ele é bom; porque sua bondade [dura] para sempre.
O give thanks to Yahweh—For he is good, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness.
2 Digam [isso] os resgatados pelo SENHOR, os quais ele resgatou das mão do adversário.
Let the redeemed of Yahweh say, Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary;
3 E os que ele ajuntou de todas as terras, do oriente e do ocidente, do norte e do sul.
And, out of the lands, hath gathered them—From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.
4 Os que andaram sem rumo no deserto, por caminhos solitários; os que não acharam cidade para morarem.
They wandered about in the desert—in a waste, Way to a city to dwell in, found they none;
5 Famintos e sedentos, suas almas neles desfaleciam.
Hungry—yea thirsty, their soul, within them, fainted:
6 Mas eles clamaram ao SENHOR em suas angústias, e ele os livrou de suas aflições.
Then made they outcry to Yahweh, in their peril, Out of their distresses, he rescued them;
7 E os levou ao caminho correto, para irem a uma cidade de moradia.
And led them by a straight road, That they might journey to a city to dwell in.
8 Agradeçam ao SENHOR por sua bondade, e suas maravilhas perante os filhos dos homens.
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men;
9 Porque ele fartou a alma sedenta, e encheu de bem a alma faminta;
For he hath satisfied the longing soul, and, the famished soul, hath he filled with good.
10 Os que estavam sentados em trevas e sombra de morte, presos com aflição e ferro,
The dwellers in darkness and death-shade, bound with oppression and iron;
11 Porque se rebelaram contra os mandamentos de Deus, e rejeitaram o conselho do Altíssimo.
Because they had rebelled against the sayings of GOD, —and, the counsel of the Most High, they had spurned;
12 Por isso ele abateu seus corações com trabalhos cansativos; eles tropeçaram, e não houve quem os socorresse.
And he bowed down, with labour, their heart, They staggered, with no one to help,
13 Porém eles clamaram ao SENHOR em suas angústias, e ele os livrou de suas aflições.
Then made they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, Out of their distresses, he saved them;
14 Ele os tirou das trevas e da sombra da morte, e quebrou suas correntes de prisão.
He brought them forth out of darkness and death-shade, and, their fetters, he tare off.
15 Agradeçam ao SENHOR pela sua bondade, e suas maravilhas perante os filhos dos homens.
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!
16 Porque ele quebrou as portas de bronze, e despedaçou os ferrolhos de ferro.
For he brake in pieces the doors of bronze, And, the bars of iron, he hewed asunder.
17 Os tolos foram afligidos por causa de seu caminho de transgressões e por suas perversidades.
The perverse, by reason of their transgression, and on account of their iniquities, are afflicted;
18 A alma deles perdeu o interesse por todo tipo de comida, e chegaram até às portas da morte.
All manner of food, their soul abhorreth, and so they draw near unto the gates of death,
19 Porém eles clamaram ao SENHOR em suas angústias, e ele os livrou de suas aflições.
Then make they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, and, out of their distresses, he saveth them.
20 Ele enviou sua palavra, e os sarou; e ele os livrou de suas covas.
He sendeth his word, and healeth them, and delivereth them from their graves.
21 Agradeçam ao SENHOR por sua bondade, e suas maravilhas perante os filhos dos homens.
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!
22 E sacrifiquem sacrifícios de gratidão; e anunciai as obras dele com alegria.
Yea let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and recount his works with a shout.
23 Os que descem ao mar em navios, trabalhando em muitas águas,
Men who go down to the sea, in ships, doing business through mighty waters;
24 Esses veem as obras do SENHOR, e suas maravilhas nas profundezas.
They, see the works of Yahweh, and his wonders in the deep;
25 [Porque] quando ele fala, ele faz levantar tormentas de vento, que levanta suas ondas.
And he speaketh, and there ariseth a tempestuous wind, which lifteth on high its rolling waves;
26 Elas sobem aos céus, [e] descem aos abismos; a alma deles se derrete de angústia.
They mount the heavens, they descend the roaring deeps, their soul, by trouble, dissolveth;
27 Eles cambaleiam e vacilam como bêbados, e toda a sabedoria deles se acaba.
They reel and stagger, like a drunken man, and, all their wisdom, is engulfed,
28 Então eles clamaram ao SENHOR em suas angústias, e ele os tirou de suas aflições.
Then make they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, and, out of their distresses, he bringeth them forth,
29 Ele fez cessar as tormentas, e as ondas se calaram.
He calmeth the storm to a whisper, and silent are their rolling waves:
30 Então se alegraram, porque houve calmaria; e ele os levou ao porto que queriam [chegar].
Then are they glad, because they are hushed, And he guideth them unto their desired haven.
31 Agradeçam ao SENHOR por sua bondade, e suas maravilhas perante os filhos dos homens;
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!
32 E exaltem a ele na assembleia do povo, e o glorifiquem na reunião dos anciãos.
Yea let them extol him in the convocation of the people, and, in the seated company of elders, let them praise him.
33 Ele torna os rios em deserto, e as saídas de águas em terra seca.
He turneth Rivers into a desert, and, Springs of Water, into thirsty ground,
34 A terra frutífera em salgada, pela maldade dos que nela habitam.
A Land of Fruit, into a waste of salt, For the wickedness of them who dwell therein.
35 Ele torna o deserto em lagoa, e a terra seca em nascentes de águas.
He turneth A Desert, into a pool of water, and, A Parched Land into springs of water;
36 E faz aos famintos habitarem ali; e eles edificam uma cidade para morarem;
And hath caused the famished to dwell there, And they have built them a city to dwell in;
37 E semeiam campos, e plantam vinhas, que produzem fruto valioso.
And have sown fields, and planted vineyards, and made them fruits of increase:
38 E ele os abençoa, e se multiplicam muito, e o gado dele não diminui.
Thus hath he blessed them, and they have multiplied greatly, And, their cattle, he maketh not few.
39 Mas [quando] eles se diminuem e se abatem, por causa da opressão, mal e aflição;
So have they become few and been brought low, By oppression, misfortune, and sorrow;
40 Ele derrama desprezo sobre os governantes, e os faz andar sem rumo pelos desertos, sem [terem] caminho.
He poureth contempt upon nobles, and causeth them to wander in a pathless waste;
41 Mas ao necessitado, ele levanta da opressão a um alto retiro, e faz famílias como a rebanhos.
But he hath set the needy on high from affliction, and made families, like a flock: —
42 Os corretos, ao verem, ficam alegres, e todo perverso se calará.
The upright seeth and is glad, And, all perverseness, hath closed her mouth.
43 Quem é sábio, que preste atenção a estas coisas, e reflita nas bondades do SENHOR.
Who is wise? then let him observe these things! and diligently consider the lovingkindness of Yahweh.
