Salmos 105
1 Agradecei ao SENHOR, chamai o seu nome; anunciai suas obras entre os povos.
Give ye thanks to Yahweh, Call upon his Name, Make known, among the peoples, his doings;
2 Cantai a ele, tocai músicas para ele; falai de todas as suas maravilhas.
Sing ye to him, Make ye music to him, Speak ye of all his wonders.
3 Tende orgulho de seu santo nome; alegre-se o coração dos que buscam ao SENHOR.
Make your boast in his holy Name, Joyful be the heart of them who are seeking Yahweh.
4 Buscai ao SENHOR e à sua força; buscai a presença dele continuamente.
Search out Yahweh and his strength, Seek diligently his face at all times.
5 Lembrai-vos de suas maravilhas, que ele fez; de seus milagres, e dos juízos de sua boca.
Remember his wonders which he hath done, His portents, and the just decisions of his mouth.
6 Vós, [que sois da] semente de seu servo Abraão; vós, filhos de Jacó, seus escolhidos.
O ye Seed of Abraham—his servants, Sons of Jacob—his chosen ones:
7 Ele é o SENHOR, nosso Deus; seus juízos [estão] em toda a terra.
Yahweh himself, is our God, Through all the land, are his just decision.
8 Ele se lembra para sempre de seu pacto, da palavra que ele mandou até mil gerações;
He hath remembered, unto times age-abiding, his covenant, The word he commanded, to a thousand generations;
9 O qual ele firmou com Abraão, e de seu juramento a Isaque.
Which he solemnised with Abraham, and his oath, to Isaac;
10 O qual também confirmou a Jacó como estatuto, a Israel como pacto eterno.
And confirmed it unto Jacob for a statute, To Israel, as a covenant age-abiding;
11 Dizendo: A ti darei a terra de Canaã, a porção de vossa herança.
Saying, To thee, will I give the land of Canaan, As your inherited portion;
12 Sendo eles poucos em número; [eram] poucos, e estrangeiros nela.
While as yet they were men easily counted, —A very few, and sojourners therein;
13 E andaram de nação em nação, de um reino a outro povo.
And they wandered from nation to nation, From a kingdom, to another people.
14 Ele não permitiu a ninguém que os oprimisse; e por causa deles repreendeu a reis,
He suffered no son of earth to oppress them, And reproved—for their sakes—[even] kings!
15 [Dizendo]: Não toqueis nos meus ungidos, e não façais mal a meus profetas.
Ye may not touch mine Anointed ones, And, to my Prophets, may ye do no wrong.
16 E chamou a fome sobre a terra; ele interrompeu toda fonte de alimento;
Then called he a famine over the land, All the staff of bread, he brake;
17 Enviou um homem adiante deles: José, [que] foi vendido como escravo.
He sent before them a man, For a slave, was he sold—[even] Joseph;
18 Amarraram seus pés em correntes; ele foi preso com ferros;
They forced, into a fetter, his foot, Into the iron, entered his soul;
19 Até o tempo que sua mensagem chegou, a palavra do SENHOR provou o valor que ele tinha.
Until the time when his word came to pass, Speech of Yahweh, proved him;
20 O rei mandou que ele fosse solto; o governante de povos o libertou.
The king sent, and set him free, One having dominion over peoples, yet loosed he his bonds;
21 Ele o pôs como senhor de sua casa, e por chefe de todos os seus bens,
He appointed him lord to his household, And one having dominion over all he possessed;
22 Para dar ordens a suas autoridades, e instruir a seus anciãos.
That he might bind his rulers as he pleased, And, his elders, he might embue with wisdom.
23 Então Israel entrou no Egito; Jacó peregrinou na terra de Cam.
So Israel came into Egypt, And, Jacob, sojourned in the land of Ham;
24 E fez seu povo crescer muito, e o fez mais poderoso que seus adversários.
And he made his people exceeding fruitful, —And caused them to become stronger than their adversaries.
25 E mudou o coração [dos outros], para que odiassem ao seu povo, para que tratassem mal a seus servos.
He let them turn their heart—To hate his people, To deal treacherously with his servants;
26 [Então] enviou seu servo Moisés, e a Arão, a quem tinha escolhido;
He sent Moses his servant, Aaron, whom he had chosen.
27 [Que] fizeram entre eles os sinais anunciados, e coisas sobrenaturais na terra de Cam.
He set among them his threatening signs, And his wonders, in the land of Ham;
28 Ele mandou trevas, e fez escurecer; e não foram rebeldes a sua palavra.
He sent darkness, and made it dark, But they rebelled against his words;
29 Ele transformou suas águas em sangue, e matou a seus peixes.
He turned their waters into blood, And so caused their fish to die;
30 A terra deles produziu rãs em abundância, [até] nos quartos de seus reis.
Their land swarmed with frogs, In the chambers of their kings!
31 Ele falou, e vieram vários bichos [e] piolhos em todos os seus limites.
He spake, and there came in the gad-fly, Gnats, in all their bounds;
32 Tornou suas chuvas em saraiva; [pôs] fogo ardente em sua terra.
He made their showers—hail, A fire flaming throughout their land;
33 E feriu suas vinhas e seus figueirais; e quebrou as árvores de seus territórios.
And he smote their vines, and their fig-trees, And brake in pieces the trees of their bounds;
34 Ele falou, e vieram gafanhotos, e incontáveis pulgões;
He spake—then came the swarming locust, —The devouring locust, and that without number;
35 E comeram toda a erva de sua terra; e devoraram o fruto de seus campos.
And devoured all the herbage in their land, And devoured the fruit of their ground.
36 Também feriu a todos os primogênitos em sua terra; os primeiros de todas as suas forças.
Then smote he every firstborn in their land, The beginning of all their strength;
37 E os tirou [dali] com prata e ouro; e dentre suas tribos não houve quem tropeçasse.
Thus brought he them forth, with silver and gold, Nor was there, throughout his tribes, one that faltered;
38 [Até] o Egito se alegrou com a saída deles, porque seu temor tinha caído sobre eles.
Egypt rejoiced when they went out, For the dread of them had fallen upon them.
39 Ele estendeu uma nuvem como cobertor, e um fogo para iluminar a noite.
He spread out a cloud as a covering, And fire, to give light by night,
40 Eles pediram, e fez vir codornizes; e os fartou com pão do céu.
They asked, and he brought in the quail, —And, with the bread of the heavens, he satisfied them;
41 Ele abriu uma rocha, e dela saíram águas; [e] correram [como] um rio pelos lugares secos;
He opened the rock, and there gushed forth waters, They flowed along, through parched places, as a river;
42 Porque se lembrou de sua santa palavra, e de seu servo Abraão.
For he remembered his holy word, With Abraham his servant.
43 Então ele tirou [dali] a seu povo com alegria; e seus eleitos com celebração.
Thus brought he forth his people with gladness, —With shouts of triumph, his chosen ones;
44 E lhes deu as terras das nações; e do trabalho das nações tomaram posse;
And gave them, the lands of the nations, And, of the toil of the peoples, took they possession:
45 Para que guardassem seus estatutos, e obedecessem a leis dele. Aleluia!
In order that they might observe his statutes, And, over his laws, might keep watch, Praise ye Yah.
