Salmos 101

1 Salmo de Davi: Cantarei sobre a bondade e o juízo; a ti, SENHOR, tocarei melodia.

David’s. A Melody. Of lovingkindness and of justice, will I sing! Unto thee, O Yahweh, will I touch the strings!

2 No caminho correto eu meditarei; [mas] quando virás a mim? Em sinceridade de meu coração andarei dentro de minha casa.

I will behave myself wisely in a blameless way, When wilt thou come in unto me? I will walk to and fro in the blamelessness of my heart, —in the midst of my house:

3 Não porei perante meus olhos obra maligna; odeio as ações dos que desviam, [tais coisas] não me tomarão.

I will not set before mine eyes, a vile thing, —The doing of them who fall away, I hate, It shall not cleave unto me;

4 O coração perverso se afastará de mim; não conhecerei ao mau.

A perverse heart, shall depart from me, A maker of mischief, will I not acknowledge;

5 Destruirei ao que fala mal de seu próximo as escondidas, e não tolerarei ao que tem olhos cobiçosos e coração arrogante.

He that uttereth slander in secret against his friend, him, will I root out; One of lofty eyes, and of an ambitious heart, him shall I not be able to endure.

6 Meus olhos [estarão] sobre os fiéis da terra, para que se sentem comigo; aquele que anda no caminho correto, esse me servirá.

Mine eyes, shall be upon the faithful of the land, That they may dwell with me, —he that walketh in a blameless way, he, shall attend me.

7 Aquele que usa de engano não habitará em minha casa; aquele que fala mentiras não conseguirá ficar firme perante meus olhos.

There shall not dwell in the midst of my house, One who worketh deceit, —he that speaketh falsehoods, shall not be established before mine eyes;

8 Pelas madrugadas destruirei a todos os perversos da terra, para tirar da cidade do SENHOR todos os que praticam maldade.

Morning by morning, will I uproot, All the lawless ones of the land, That I may cut off, out of the city of Yahweh—All the workers of iniquity.
