Provérbios 12
1 Aquele que ama a correção ama o conhecimento; mas aquele que odeia a repreensão é um bruto.
He that loveth correction, loveth knowledge, but, he that hateth reproof, is brutish.
2 O homem de bem ganha o favor do SENHOR; mas ao homem de pensamentos perversos, ele o condenará.
A good man, obtaineth favour from Yahweh, but, a man of wicked devices, will he condemn.
3 O homem não prevalecerá pela perversidade; mas a raiz dos justos não será removida.
A son of earth, shall not be established, by lawlessness, but, the root of the righteous, shall not be disturbed.
4 A mulher virtuosa é a coroa de seu marido; mas a causadora de vergonha é como uma podridão em seus ossos.
A virtuous woman, is the crown of her husband, but, a veritable decay in his bones, is she that causeth shame.
5 Os pensamentos dos justos são de bom juízo; [mas] os conselhos dos perversos são enganosos.
The plans of the righteous, are just, but, the counsels of the lawless, are deceitful.
6 As palavras dos perversos são para espreitar [o derramamento de] sangue [de inocentes]; mas a boca dos corretos os livrará.
The words of the lawless, are—of lying in wait for blood, but, the mouth of the upright, shall deliver them.
7 Os perversos serão transtornados, e não existirão [mais]; porém a casa dos justos permanecerá.
Overthrown are the lawless and they are not, but, the house of the righteous, shall stand.
8 Cada um será elogiado conforme seu entendimento; mas o perverso de coração será desprezado.
In proportion to his prudence, is a man, to be praised, but, the perverse in heart, shall be an object of contempt.
9 Melhor é o que estima pouco a si mesmo mas tem quem o sirva, do que aquele que elogia e si mesmo, mas nem sequer tem pão.
Better slighted, and have a servant, than to honour oneself, and come short of bread.
10 O justo dá atenção à vida de seus animais; mas [até] as misericórdias dos perversos são cruéis.
A righteous man, regardeth the desire of his beast, but, the compassions of the lawless, are cruel.
11 Aquele que lavra sua terra se saciará de pão; mas o que segue [coisas] inúteis tem falta de juízo.
He that tilleth his land, shall be filled with food, but, he that runneth after worthless men, lacketh sense.
12 O perverso deseja armadilhas malignas; porém a raiz dos justos produzirá [seu fruto].
A lawless man craveth the prey of the wicked, but, the root of the righteous, is enduring.
13 O perverso é capturado pela transgressão de seus lábios, mas o justo sairá da angústia.
By the transgression of the lips, is the wicked man, ensnared, but the righteous, cometh out of distress.
14 Cada um se sacia do bem pelo fruto de sua [própria] boca; e a recompensa das mãos do homem lhe será entregue de volta.
Of the fruit of a man’s mouth, shall he be satisfied with good, and, the dealing of the hands of a son of earth, shall be paid back to him.
15 O caminho do tolo é correto aos seus [próprios] olhos; mas aquele que ouve o [bom] conselho é sábio.
The way of the foolish, is right in his own eyes, but, he that hearkeneth to counsel, is wise.
16 A ira do tolo é conhecida no mesmo dia, mas o prudente ignora o insulto.
A foolish man, on the [same] day, letteth his vexation be known, but, he that concealeth an affront, is prudent.
17 Aquele que fala a verdade conta a justiça; porém a testemunha falsa [conta] o engano.
He that whispereth faithfulness, declareth righteousness, but, a false witness, is a fraud.
18 Há [alguns] que falam [palavras] como que golpes de espada; porém a língua do sábios é [como] um remédio.
There is who babbleth, as with thrusts of a sword, but, the tongue of the wise, hath healing.
19 O lábio da verdade ficará para sempre, mas a língua da falsidade [dura] por [apenas] um momento.
A lip that is faithful, shall be firm to futurity, but, only for a twinkling, is the tongue that is false.
20 [Há] engano no coração dos que tramam o mal; mas os que aconselham a paz [têm] alegria.
Deceit, is in the heart of contrivers of mischief, but, to the counsellors of peace, shall be joy.
21 Nenhuma adversidade sobrevirá ao justos; mas os perversos se encherão de mal.
Unseemly to the righteous, is any trouble, but, the lawless, are full of misfortune.
22 Os lábios mentirosos são abomináveis ao SENHOR, mas dos que falam a verdade são seu prazer.
An abomination to Yahweh, are lips that are false, but, he that dealeth faithfully, is his delight.
23 O homem prudente é discreto em conhecimento; mas o coração dos tolos proclama a loucura.
A prudent man, concealeth knowledge, but, the heart of dullards, proclaimeth folly.
24 A mão dos que trabalham com empenho dominará, e os preguiçosos se tornarão escravos.
The hand of the diligent, shall bear rule, but, the indolent, shall come under tribute.
25 A ansiedade no coração do homem o abate; [mas] uma boa palavra o alegra.
When anxiety is in the heart of a man, one may bow him down, but, a good word, maketh him glad.
26 O justo age cuidadosamente para com seu próximo, mas o caminho dos perversos os faz errar.
The righteous man guideth his neighbour, but, the way of the lawless, leadeth them astray.
27 O preguiçoso não assa aquilo que caçou, mas a riqueza de quem trabalha com empenho [lhe é] preciosa.
Indolence, roasteth not, his own game, but, the substance of a man, is precious, when he is diligent.
28 Na vereda da justiça está a vida; e [no] caminho de seu percurso não há morte.
In the way of righteousness, is life, and, in the path thereof, immortality,
