Números 32
1 E os filhos de Rúben e os filhos de Gade tinham uma muito grande abundância de gado; os quais vendo a terra de Jazer e de Gileade, pareceu-lhes a terra lugar de gado.
And the children of Ruben and the children of Gad had a multitude of cattle, very great; and they saw the land of Jazer, and the land of Galaad; and the place was a place for cattle:
2 E vieram os filhos de Gade e os filhos de Rúben, e falaram a Moisés, e a Eleazar o sacerdote, e aos príncipes da congregação, dizendo:
and the children of Ruben and the children of Gad came, and spoke to Moses, and to Eleazar the priest, and to the princes of the congregation, saying,
3 Atarote, e Dibom, e Jazer, e Ninra, e Hesbom, e Eleale, e Sebã, e Nebo, e Beom,
Ataroth, and Daebon, and Jazer, and Namra, and Esebon, and Eleale, and Sebama, and Nabau, and Baean,
4 A terra que o SENHOR feriu diante da congregação de Israel, é terra de gado, e teus servos têm gado.
the land which the Lord has delivered up before the children of Israel, is pasture land, and your servants have cattle.
5 Portanto, disseram, se achamos favor em teus olhos, seja dada esta terra a teus servos em herança, e não nos faças passar o Jordão.
And they said, If we have found grace in your sight, let this land be given to your servants for a possession, and do not cause us to pass over Jordan.
6 E respondeu Moisés aos filhos de Gade e aos filhos de Rúben: Virão vossos irmãos à guerra, e vós ficareis aqui?
And Moses said to the sons of Gad and the sons of Ruben, Shall your brethren go to war, and shall you sit here?
7 E por que desencorajais o ânimo dos filhos de Israel, para que não passem à terra que lhes deu o SENHOR?
And why do you pervert the minds of the children of Israel, that they should not cross over into the land, which the Lord gives them?
8 Assim fizeram vossos pais, quando os enviei desde Cades-Barneia para que vissem a terra.
Did not your fathers thus, when I sent them from Cades Barne to spy out the land?
9 Que subiram até o vale de Escol, e depois que viram a terra, preocuparam o ânimo dos filhos de Israel, para que não viessem à terra que o SENHOR lhes havia dado.
And they went up to the valley of the cluster, and spied the land, and turned aside the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the land, which the Lord gave them.
10 E o furor do SENHOR se acendeu então, e jurou dizendo:
And the Lord was very angry in that day, and sware, saying,
11 Os homens que subiram do Egito de vinte anos acima não verão a terra pela qual jurei a Abraão, Isaque, e Jacó, pois não me seguiram por completo;
Surely these men who came up out of Egypt from twenty years old and upward, who know good and evil, shall not see the land which I sware [to give] to Abraam and Isaac and Jacob, for they have not closely followed after me:
12 exceto Calebe, filho do quenezeu Jefoné, e Josué filho de Num, que seguiram por completo ao SENHOR.
save Caleb the son of Jephonne, who was set apart, and Joshua the son of Naue, for they closely followed after the Lord.
13 E o furor do SENHOR se acendeu em Israel, e os fez andar errantes quarenta anos pelo deserto, até que foi acabada toda aquela geração, que havia feito mal diante do SENHOR.
And the Lord was very angry with Israel; and for forty years he caused them to wander in the wilderness, until all the generation which did evil in the sight of the Lord was extinct.
14 E eis que vós sucedestes em lugar de vossos pais, descendência de homens pecadores, para acrescentar ainda à ira do SENHOR contra Israel.
Behold, you are risen up in the room of your fathers, a combination of sinful men, to increase yet farther the fierce wrath of the Lord against Israel.
15 Se vos deixardes de segui-lo, ele voltará outra vez a deixar-vos no deserto, e destruireis a todo este povo.
For you will turn away from him to desert him yet once more in the wilderness, and you will sin against this whole congregation.
16 Então eles se achegaram a ele e disseram: Edificaremos aqui currais para nosso gado, e cidades para nossas crianças;
And they came to him, and said, We will build here folds for our cattle, and cities for our possessions;
17 E nós nos armaremos, e iremos com empenho diante dos filhos de Israel, até que os ponhamos em seu lugar; e nossas crianças ficarão em cidades fortes por causa dos moradores da terra.
and we will arm ourselves and go as an advanced guard before the children of Israel, until we shall have brought them into their place; and our possessions shall remain in walled cities because of the inhabitants of the land.
18 Não voltaremos a nossas casas até que os filhos de Israel possuam cada um sua herança.
We will not return to our houses till the children of Israel shall have been distributed, each to his own inheritance.
19 Porque não tomaremos herança com eles ao outro lado do Jordão nem adiante, porquanto teremos já nossa herança da outra parte do Jordão ao oriente.
And we will not any longer inherit with them from the other side of Jordan and onwards, because we have our full inheritance on the side beyond Jordan eastward.
20 Então lhes respondeu Moisés: Se o fizerdes assim, se vos preparardes para ir diante do SENHOR à guerra,
And Moses said to them, If you will do according to these words, if you will arm yourselves before the Lord for battle,
21 E passardes todos vós armados o Jordão diante do SENHOR, até que tenha expulsado a seus inimigos de diante de si,
and every one of you will pass over Jordan fully armed before the Lord, until his enemy be destroyed from before his face,
22 E seja aquela terra subjugada diante do SENHOR; logo voltareis, e sereis livres de culpa para com o SENHOR, e para com Israel; e esta terra será vossa em herança diante do SENHOR.
and the land shall be subdued before the Lord, then afterwards you shall return, and be guiltless before the Lord, and as regards Israel; and this land shall be to you for a possession before the Lord.
23 Mas se assim não o fizerdes, eis que havereis pecado ao SENHOR; e sabei que vos alcançará vosso pecado.
But if you will not do so, you will sin against the Lord; and you shall know your sin, when afflictions shall come upon you.
24 Edificai-vos cidades para vossas crianças, e currais para vossas ovelhas, e fazei o que saiu de vossa boca.
And you shall build for yourselves cities for your store, and folds for your cattle; and you shall do that which proceeds out of your mouth.
25 E falaram os filhos de Gade e os filhos de Rúben a Moisés, dizendo: Teus servos farão como meu senhor mandou.
And the sons of Ruben and the sons of Gad spoke to Moses, saying, Your servants will do as our lord commands.
26 Nossas crianças, nossas mulheres, nossos gados, e todos nossos animais, estarão aí nas cidades de Gileade;
Our store, and our wives, and all our cattle shall be in the cities of Galaad.
27 E teus servos, armados todos de guerra, passarão diante do SENHOR à guerra, da maneira que meu senhor disse.
But your servants will go over all armed and set in order before the Lord to battle, as [our] lord says.
28 Então os encomendou Moisés a Eleazar o sacerdote, e a Josué filho de Num, e aos príncipes dos pais das tribos dos filhos de Israel.
And Moses appointed to them [for judges] Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Naue, and the chiefs of the families of the tribes of Israel.
29 E disse-lhes Moisés: Se os filhos de Gade e os filhos de Rúben, passarem convosco o Jordão, todos armados para a guerra diante do SENHOR, logo que aquela terra for subjugada diante de vós, lhes dareis a terra de Gileade como propriedade;
And Moses said to them, If the sons of Ruben and the sons of Gad will pass over Jordan with you, every one armed for war before the Lord, and you shall subdue the land before you, then you shall give to them the land of Galaad for a possession.
30 Mas se não passarem armados convosco, então terão propriedade entre vós na terra de Canaã.
But if they will not pass over armed with you to war before the Lord, then shall you cause to pass over their possessions and their wives and their cattle before you into the land of Chanaan, and they shall inherit with you in the land of Chanaan.
31 E os filhos de Gade e os filhos de Rúben responderam, dizendo: Faremos o que o SENHOR disse a teus servos.
And the sons of Ruben and the sons of Gad answered, saying, Whatsoever the Lord says to his servants, that will we do.
32 Nós passaremos armados diante do SENHOR à terra de Canaã, e a propriedade de nossa herança será desta parte do Jordão.
We will go over armed before the Lord into the land of Chanaan, and you shall give us our inheritance beyond Jordan.
33 Assim lhes deu Moisés aos filhos de Gade e aos filhos de Rúben, e à meia tribo de Manassés filho de José, o reino de Seom, rei amorreu, e o reino de Ogue, rei de Basã, a terra com suas cidades e termos, as cidades da terra em redor.
And Moses gave to them, even to the sons of Gad and the sons of Ruben, and to the half tribe of Manasse of the sons of Joseph, the kingdom of Seon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Basan, the land and its cities with its coasts, the cities of the land round about.
34 E os filhos de Gade edificaram a Dibom, e a Atarote, e a Aroer,
And the sons of Gad built Daebon, and Ataroth, and Aroer,
35 E a Atarote-Sofã, e a Jazer, e a Jogbeá,
and Sophar, and Jazer, and they set them up,
36 E a Bete-Ninra, e a Bete-Harã: cidades fortificadas, e também currais para ovelhas.
and Namram, and Baetharan, strong cities, and folds for sheep.
37 E os filhos de Rúben edificaram a Hesbom, e a Eleale, e a Quiriataim,
And the sons of Ruben built Esebon, and Eleale, and Kariatham,
38 E a Nebo, e a Baal-Meom, (mudados os nomes), e a Sibma: e puseram nomes às cidades que edificaram.
and Beelmeon, surrounded [with walls], and Sebama; and they called the names of the cities which they built, after their own names.
39 E os filhos de Maquir filho de Manassés foram a Gileade, e tomaram-na, e expulsaram aos amorreus que estavam nela.
And a son of Machir the son of Manasse went to Galaad, and took it, and destroyed the Amorite who lived in it.
40 E Moisés deu Gileade a Maquir filho de Manassés, o qual habitou nela.
And Moses gave Galaad to Machir the son of Manasse, and he lived there.
41 Também Jair filho de Manassés foi e tomou suas aldeias, e pôs-lhes por nome Havote-Jair.
And Jair the [son] of Manasse went and took their villages, and called them the villages of Jair.
42 Também Noba foi e tomou a Quenate e suas aldeias, e chamou-lhe Noba, conforme seu nome.
And Nabau went and took Caath and her villages, and called them Naboth after his name.
