Números 27
1 E as filhas de Zelofeade, filho de Héfer, filho de Gileade, filho de Maquir, filho de Manassés, das famílias de Manassés, filho de José, os nomes das quais eram Maalá, e Noa, e Hogla, e Milca, e Tirza, chegaram;
Then came the daughters of Salphaad, the son of Hepher, the son of Galaad, the son of Machir, the son of Manasses, who was the son of Joseph: and their names are Maala, and Noa, and Hegla, and Melcha, and Thersa.
2 E apresentaram-se diante de Moisés, e diante do sacerdote Eleazar, e diante dos príncipes, e de toda a congregação, à porta do tabernáculo do testemunho, e disseram:
And they stood before Moses and Eleazar the priest, and all the princes of the people at the door of the tabernacle of the covenant, and said:
3 Nosso pai morreu no deserto, o qual não esteve na junta que se reuniu contra o SENHOR na companhia de Coré: mas sim que em seu pecado morreu, e não teve filhos.
Our father died in the desert, and was not in the sedition, that was raised against the Lord under Core, but he died in his own sin: and he had no male children. Why is his name taken away out of his family, because he had no son? Give us a possession among the kinsmen of our father.
4 Por que será tirado o nome de nosso pai dentre sua família, por não haver tido filho? Dá-nos herança entre os irmãos de nosso pai.
And Moses referred their cause to the judgment of the Lord.
5 E Moisés levou sua causa diante do SENHOR.
And the Lord said to him:
6 E o SENHOR respondeu a Moisés, dizendo:
The daughters of Salphaad demand a just thing: Give them a possession among their father’s kindred, and let them succeed him in his inheritance.
7 Bem dizem as filhas de Zelofeade: hás de dar-lhes possessão de herança entre os irmãos de seu pai; e passarás a herança de seu pai a elas.
And to the children of Israel thou shalt speak these things:
8 E aos filhos de Israel falarás, dizendo: Quando alguém morrer sem filhos, passareis sua herança à sua filha:
When a man dieth without a son, his inheritance shall pass to his daughter.
9 E se não tiver filha, dareis sua herança a seus irmãos:
If he have no daughter, his brethren shall succeed him.
10 E se não tiver irmãos, dareis sua herança aos irmãos de seu pai.
And if he have no brethren, you shall give the inheritance to his father’s brethren.
11 E se seu pai não tiver irmãos, dareis sua herança a seu parente mais próximo de sua linhagem, o qual a possuirá: e será aos filhos de Israel por estatuto de regulamento, como o SENHOR mandou a Moisés.
But if he have no uncles by the father, the inheritance shall be given to them that are the next akin. And this shall be to the children of Israel sacred by a perpetual law, as the Lord hath commanded Moses.
12 E o SENHOR disse a Moisés: Sobe a este monte Abarim, e verás a terra que dei aos filhos de Israel.
The Lord also said to Moses: Go up into this mountain Abarim, and view from thence the land which I will give to the children of Israel.
13 E depois que a houverdes visto, tu também serás recolhido ao teus povo, como foi reunido o teu irmão Arão;
And when thou shalt have seen it, thou also shalt go to thy people, as thy brother Aaron is gone:
14 pois fostes rebeldes no deserto de Zim, no conflito da congregação, ao meu mandado de me santificar nas águas à vista deles. Essas são as águas do conflito de Cades no deserto de Zim.
Because you offended me in the desert of Sin in the contradiction of the multitude, neither would you sanctify me before them at the waters. These are the waters of contradiction in Cades of the desert of Sin.
15 Então Moisés respondeu ao SENHOR:
And Moses answered him:
16 Que o SENHOR, Deus dos espíritos de toda carne, ponha um homem sobre a congregação,
May the Lord the God of the spirits of all flesh provide a man, that may be over this multitude:
17 que saia diante deles, que entre diante deles, que os faça sair e os faça entrar; para que a congregação do SENHOR não seja como ovelhas sem pastor.
And may go out and in before them, and may lead them out, or bring them in: lest the people of the Lord be as sheep without a shepherd.
18 E o SENHOR disse a Moisés: Toma a Josué filho de Num, homem no qual há espírito, e porás tua mão sobre ele;
And the Lord said to him: Take Josue the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and put thy hand upon him.
19 E o porás diante de Eleazar o sacerdote, e diante de toda a congregação; e lhe darás ordens em presença deles.
And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest and all the multitude:
20 E porás de tua dignidade sobre ele, para que toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel lhe obedeçam.
And thou shalt give him precepts in the sight of all, and part of thy glory, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may hear him.
21 E ele estará diante de Eleazar o sacerdote, e a ele perguntará pelo juízo do Urim diante do SENHOR: pelo dito dele sairão, e pelo dito dele entrarão, ele, e todos os filhos de Israel com ele, e toda a congregação.
If any thing be to be done, Eleazar the priest shall consult the Lord for him. He and all the children of Israel with him, and the rest of the multitude shall go out and go in at his word.
22 E Moisés fez como o SENHOR lhe havia mandado; que tomou a Josué, e lhe pôs diante de Eleazar o sacerdote, e de toda a congregação:
Moses did as the Lord had commanded. And when he had taken Josue, he set him before Eleazar the priest, and all the assembly of the people,
23 E pôs sobre ele suas mãos, e deu-lhe ordens, como o SENHOR havia mandado por meio de Moisés.
And laying his hands on his head, he repeated all things that the Lord had commanded.
