Miquéias 5
1 Agora ajunta-te em tropas, ó filha de tropas; fazem cerco ao nosso redor; ferirão ao juiz de Israel com vara no rosto.
Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops; he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek.
2 Porém tu, Belém Efrata, [ainda que] sejas pequena entre as famílias de Judá, de ti me sairá o que será governador em Israel; e suas saídas são desde o princípio, desde os dias antigos.
(And thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, little to be among the thousands of Judah, out of thee shall he come forth unto me [who is] to be Ruler in Israel: whose goings forth are from of old, from the days of eternity.)
3 Por isso ele os entregará até o tempo em que a que estiver de parto der à luz; então o resto de seus irmãos voltarão a estar com os filhos de Israel.
Therefore will he give them up, until the time when she which travaileth shall have brought forth: and the residue of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel.
4 E eles se levantará, e governará com a força do SENHOR, com a grandeza do nome do SENHOR seu Deus; e eles habitarão [seguros], porque agora ele será engrandecido até os confins da terra.
And he shall stand and feed [his flock] in the strength of Jehovah, in the majesty of the name of Jehovah his God. And they shall abide; for now shall he be great even unto the ends of the earth.
5 E este será nossa paz; quando a Assíria vier a nossa terra, e quando pisar nossos palácios, então levantaremos contra ela sete pastores, e oito príncipes dentre os homens;
And this [man] shall be Peace. When the Assyrian shall come into our land, and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight princes of men.
6 E dominarão a terra da Assíria pela espada, e a terra de Ninrode em suas entradas; assim ele [nos] livrará do assírios, quando vierem contra nossa terra e invadirem nossas fronteiras.
And they shall waste the land of Asshur with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof; and he shall deliver [us] from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders.
7 E o restante de Jacó estará no meio de muitos povos, como o orvalho do SENHOR, como gotas sobre a erva, que não esperam ao homem, nem aguardam os filhos de homens.
And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many peoples as dew from Jehovah, as showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, neither waiteth for the sons of men.
8 E o restante de Jacó estará entre as nações, no meio de muitos povos, como o leão entre os animais do bosque, como o leão jovem entre os rebanhos de ovelhas, o qual quando passa, atropela e despedaça, de modo que ninguém há que possa livrar.
And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the nations, in the midst of many peoples, as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and there is none to deliver.
9 Tua mão se erguerá sobre teus adversários, e todos os teus inimigos serão exterminados.
Thy hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off.
10 E será naquele dia, diz o SENHOR, que destruirei teus cavalos do meio de ti, e acabarei com tuas carruagens.
And it shall come to pass in that day, saith Jehovah, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots.
11 Também destruirei as cidades da tua terra, e derrubarei todas as tuas fortalezas.
And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and overthrow all thy strongholds.
12 Também destruirei as feitiçarias de tua mão, e não terás mais adivinhadores.
And I will cut off sorceries out of thy hand; and thou shalt have no soothsayers.
13 Também destruirei as tuas imagens de escultura e tuas colunas de idolatria do meio de ti, e nunca mais te encurvarás diante da obra de tuas mãos;
Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy statues out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more bow down to the work of thy hands.
14 Também arrancarei teus bosques do meio de ti, e arruinarei tuas cidades.
And I will pluck up thine Asherahs out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy cities.
15 E com ira e com furor farei vingança das nações que não [me] deram ouvidos.
And I will execute vengeance in anger and in fury upon the nations, such as they have not heard of.
