Mateus 7
1 Não julgueis, para que não sejais julgados.
JUDGE not, that you be not judged.
2 Porque com o juízo que julgardes sereis julgados; e com a medida que medirdes vos medirão.
For with the judgment that you judge, you shall be judged; and with the measure that you mete, it shall be measured to you.
3 Ora, por que vês o cisco que está no olho de teu irmão e não enxergas a trave que está em teu próprio olho?
But why dost thou look at the rod that is in thy brother's eye, while the rafter that is in thine own eye thou dost not consider?
4 Ou como dirás a teu irmão: “Deixa-me tirar o cisco do teu olho”, se eis que há uma trave em teu próprio olho?
Or how sayest thou to thy brother, Permit that I draw forth the rod from thine eye, and, behold, there is a rafter in thine own eye?
5 Hipócrita! Tira primeiro a trave do teu olho, e então verás claramente para tirar o cisco do olho de teu irmão.
Hypocrite! draw forth first the rafter from thine own eye, and then thou wilt see to draw forth the rod from thy brother's eye.
6 Não deis o que é santo aos cães, nem lanceis vossas pérolas diante dos porcos, para não acontecer de as pisarem com os pés e, virando-se, vos despedacem.
Give not the holy unto dogs, and throw not your precious stones before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
7 Pedi, e vos será dado; buscai, e achareis; batei, e vos será aberto;
Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.
8 Pois qualquer um que pede recebe; e quem busca acha; e ao que bate lhe é aberto.
For every one who asketh receiveth, and he who seeketh findeth; and to him who knocketh it is opened.
9 E quem há dentre vós que, se seu filho pedir pão, lhe dará uma pedra?
Or what man from among you, who if his son shall ask bread, will reach forth a stone to him?
10 E se pedir peixe, lhe dará uma serpente?
if a fish he shall ask of him, a serpent will he reach forth to him?
11 Ora, se vós, sendo maus, sabeis dar bons presentes a vossos filhos, quanto mais o vosso Pai, que está nos céus, dará coisas boas aos que lhe pedirem!
If, therefore, you who are evil know to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him?
12 Portanto tudo o que quiserdes que os outros vos façam, fazei-lhes vós também assim; porque esta é a Lei e os Profetas.
All therefore that you will that men shall do unto you, so also do you unto them: for this is the law and the prophets.
13 Entrai pela porta estreita; porque larga é a porta, e espaçoso o caminho que leva à perdição; e muitos são os que por ela entram.
ENTER in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and spacious the way, that conducteth to destruction; and they are many who go therein.
14 Porque estreita é a porta, e apertado o caminho que leva à vida; e são poucos os que a acham.
How small is the gate, and narrow the way, that leadeth unto salvation; and they are few who find it!
15 Tende cuidado, com os falsos profetas, que vêm a vós com roupa de ovelhas, mas por dentro são lobos vorazes.
Beware of false prophets, who come to you in the clothing of sheep, but within are ravening wolves.
16 Vós os conhecereis pelos seus frutos. Por acaso se colhem uvas dos espinheiros, ou figos dos cardos?
By their fruits you shall know them. Do they gather from thorns grapes, or from briers figs?
17 Assim toda boa árvore dá bons frutos, mas a arvore má dá frutos maus.
So every good tree maketh good fruits; but an evil tree maketh evil fruits.
18 A boa árvore não pode dar frutos maus, nem a árvore má dar bons frutos.
A good tree cannot make evil fruits, nor an evil tree make good fruits.
19 Toda árvore que não dá bom fruto é cortada e lançada ao fogo.
Every tree that maketh not good fruits is cut down, and falleth into the fire.
20 Portanto vós os conhecereis pelos seus frutos.
Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them.
21 Não é qualquer um que me diz: “Senhor, Senhor” que entrará no Reino dos céus; mas sim aquele que faz a vontade do meu Pai que está nos céus.
Not every one that saith to me, My Lord, my Lord, entereth into the kingdom of heaven; but he who doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.
22 Muitos me dirão naquele dia: “Senhor, Senhor! Não profetizamos em teu nome? E em teu nome não expulsamos os demônios? E em teu nome não fizemos muitas maravilhas?”
Multitudes will say to me in that day My Lord, my Lord, in thy name have we not prophesied, and in thy name ejected devils, and in thy name performed many mighty works?
23 Então claramente lhes direi: “Nunca vos conheci. Afastai-vos de mim, transgressores!”
And then will I confess to them, I never knew you; go far from me, ye workers of iniquity.
24 Portanto todo o que ouve estas minhas palavras e as pratica será comparado ao homem prudente, que construiu sua casa sobre a rocha.
Every one therefore who heareth these my words, and doeth them, shall be likened to a wise man, who built his house upon a rock.
25 E a chuva desceu, correntezas vieram, ventos sopraram, e atingiram aquela casa; e ela não caiu, porque estava fundada sobre a rocha.
And the rain descended, and the torrents came, and the winds blew, and rushed against that house, but it fell not, for its foundations were placed upon the rock.
26 Porém todo o que ouve estas minhas palavras e não as pratica, eu o compararei ao homem tolo, que construiu sua casa sobre a areia.
And every one who heareth these my words, and doeth them not, shall be likened to a man who built his house upon sand.
27 E a chuva desceu, correntezas vieram, ventos sopraram, e atingiram aquela casa; e ela caiu, e sua queda foi grande.
And the rain descended, and the torrents came, and the winds blew, and rushed against that house, and it fell, and the ruin of it was great.
28 E aconteceu que, quando Jesus terminou estas palavras, as multidões estavam admiradas de sua doutrina,
And when Jeshu had finished these words, the multitudes wondered at his doctrine.
29 porque ele os ensinava como tendo autoridade, e não como os seus escribas.
For he taught them as one having power, and not as their scribes and the Pharishee.
