Mateus 13
1 Naquele dia, Jesus saiu de casa e se sentou junto ao mar.
On that day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the sea,
2 E ajuntaram-se perto dele tantas multidões, de maneira que ele entrou num barco e se sentou; e toda a multidão ficou na praia,
and large crowds gathered around him. So he got into the boat and sat down, while the entire crowd stood on the shore.
3 E ele lhes falou muitas coisas por parábolas. Ele disse: Eis que o semeador saiu a semear.
Then he told them many things in parables, saying, “Behold, a sower went out to sow.
4 E enquanto semeava, caiu parte [das sementes] junto ao caminho, e vieram as aves e a comeram.
As he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them.
5 E outra [parte] caiu entre pedras, onde não havia muita terra, e logo nasceu, porque não tinha terra funda.
Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and they sprang up immediately because they had no depth of soil.
6 Mas quando o sol surgiu, queimou-se; e por não ter raiz, secou-se.
But when the sun rose, they were scorched. And because they had no root, they withered away.
7 E outra [parte] caiu entre espinhos, e os espinhos cresceram e a sufocaram.
Other seeds fell among the thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked them.
8 E outra [parte] caiu em boa terra, e rendeu fruto: um a cem, outro a sessenta, e outro a trinta.
But other seeds fell on good soil and produced fruit, some a hundred, some sixty, and some thirty times more than what was sown.
9 Quem tem ouvidos, ouça.
He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”
10 Então os discípulos se aproximaram, e lhe perguntaram: Por que falas a eles por parábolas?
Then the disciples came and said to him, “Why do yoʋ speak to the people in parables?”
11 E ele respondeu: Porque a vós é dado saber os mistérios do Reino dos céus, mas a eles não é dado.
Jesus answered them, “To you it has been given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.
12 Pois a quem tem, lhe será dado, e terá em abundância; mas a quem não tem, até aquilo que tem lhe será tirado.
For whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. But whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
13 Por isso falo a eles por parábolas; porque vendo, não veem; e ouvindo, não ouvem, nem entendem.
That is why I speak to them in parables, because ‘they see but do not perceive, and they hear but do not listen or understand.’
14 Assim neles se cumpre a profecia de Isaías, que diz: De fato ouvireis, mas não entendereis; De fato vereis, mas não percebereis.
In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which says, ‘Yoʋ will hear but never understand, and you will see but never perceive.
15 Porque o coração deste povo está insensível; Com seus ouvidos dificilmente ouvem, e seus olhos fecharam; A fim de não haver que seus olhos vejam, seus ouvidos ouçam, Seus corações entendam, e se arrependam, E eu os cure.
For the heart of this people has become calloused; with their ears they have barely heard, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes, hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts and turn back, and I would heal them.’
16 Mas benditos são os vossos olhos, porque veem; e os vossos ouvidos, porque ouvem.
But blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.
17 Pois em verdade vos digo que muitos profetas e justos desejaram ver o que vós vedes, mas não viram; e [desejaram] ouvir o que vós ouvis, mas não ouviram.
For truly I say to you, many prophets and righteous people desired to see the things you see but did not see them, and to hear the things you hear but did not hear them.
18 Portanto, ouvi vós a parábola do semeador:
“So hear what the parable of the sower means:
19 Quando alguém ouve a palavra do Reino e não a entende, o maligno vem e arranca o que foi semeado em seu coração; este é o que foi semeado junto ao caminho.
When anyone hears the word of the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is the seed sown along the path.
20 E o que foi semeado entre as pedras é o que ouve a palavra, e logo a recebe com alegria,
The seed sown on rocky ground is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy.
21 mas não tem raiz em si mesmo. Em vez disso, dura um pouco, mas quando vem a aflição ou a perseguição pela palavra, logo tropeça na fé.
Yet he has no root in himself, but is only temporary. When tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, he immediately falls away.
22 E o que foi semeado entre os espinhos é o que ouve a palavra, mas a ansiedade com o tempo presente e a sedução das riquezas sufocam a palavra, e fica sem dar fruto. (aiōn g165)
The seed sown among the thorns is he who hears the word, but the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. (aiōn g165)
23 Mas o que foi semeado em boa terra, este é o que ouve e entende a palavra, e o que dá e produz fruto, um a cem, outro a sessenta, e outro a trinta.
But the seed sown on the good soil is he who hears the word and understands it, who bears fruit and produces a hundred, sixty, or thirty times more than what was sown.”
24 E ele lhes declarou outra parábola, dizendo: O Reino dos céus é semelhante a um homem que semeia boa semente em seu campo,
Jesus presented another parable to them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven can be compared to a person who sowed good seed in his field,
25 Mas, enquanto as pessoas dormiam, o inimigo dele veio, semeou joio entre o trigo, e foi embora.
but while people were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and then went away.
26 E, quando a erva cresceu e produziu fruto, então apareceu também o joio.
When the plants sprouted and produced grain, the tares also appeared.
27 Então os servos do dono da propriedade chegaram, e lhe perguntaram: “Senhor, não semeaste boa semente no teu campo? De onde, pois, veio o joio?”
So the servants of the master of the house came and said to him, ‘Master, did yoʋ not sow good seed in yoʋr field? How then does it have tares?’
28 E ele lhes respondeu: “Um inimigo fez isto”. Em seguida, os servos lhe perguntaram: “Queres, pois, que vamos e o tiremos?”
He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ So the servants said to him, ‘Do yoʋ want us to go and gather them up?’
29 Ele, porém, lhes respondeu: “Não, para não haver que, enquanto tirais o joio, arranqueis com ele também o trigo.
He said, ‘No, lest in gathering the tares you uproot the wheat with them.
30 Deixai-os crescer ambos juntos até a colheita; e no tempo da colheita direi aos que colhem: ‘Recolhei primeiro o joio, e amarrai-o em molhos, para o queimarem; mas ao trigo ajuntai no meu celeiro’.”
Let them both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of the harvest I will say to the reapers, “Gather the tares first and bind them into bundles to burn them up, but gather the wheat into my barn.”’”
31 Ele lhes propôs outra parábola: O Reino dos céus é semelhante a um grão de mostarda que alguém tomou e semeou no seu campo.
He presented another parable to them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field.
32 De fato, dentre todas as sementes, esta é a menor. Mas quando cresce, é a maior das hortaliças; e se torna [tamanha] árvore, que as aves do céu vêm e se aninham em seus ramos.
Although it is the smallest of all seeds, it grows larger than the other garden plants and becomes a tree, and the birds of the sky come and nest in its branches.”
33 Ele lhes disse outra parábola: O Reino dos céus é semelhante ao fermento que uma mulher tomou e misturou em três medidas de farinha, até que tudo ficasse fermentado.
He spoke to them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven that a woman took and mixed into three measures of flour until it had all been leavened.”
34 Tudo isto Jesus falou por parábolas às multidões. Sem parábolas ele não lhes falava,
All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables; he did not speak to them without using a parable.
35 para que se cumprisse o que foi falado pelo profeta, que disse: Abrirei a minha boca em parábolas; Pronunciarei coisas escondidas desde a fundação.
This was to fulfill what had been spoken through the prophet: “I will open my mouth in parables; I will declare things hidden from the foundation of the world.”
36 Então [Jesus] despediu as multidões, e foi para casa. Seus discípulos se aproximaram dele, e disseram: Explica-nos a parábola do joio do campo.
Then Jesus left the crowds and went into the house, and his disciples came to him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.”
37 E ele respondeu: O que semeia a boa semente é o Filho do homem.
So he said to them in response, “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man.
38 E o campo é o mundo; e a boa semente, estes são os filhos do Reino; e o joio são os filhos do maligno.
The field is the world, and the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom. The tares are the sons of the evil one,
39 E o inimigo, que o semeou, é o diabo; e a colheita é o fim da era; e os que colhem são os anjos. (aiōn g165)
and the enemy who sowed them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. (aiōn g165)
Therefore, just as the tares are gathered and burned with fire, so it will be at the end of this age. (aiōn g165)
41 O Filho do homem enviará seus anjos, e eles recolherão do seu Reino todas as causas do pecado, assim como os que praticam injustiça,
The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all stumbling blocks and those who practice lawlessness.
42 e os lançarão na fornalha de fogo. Ali haverá choro e ranger de dentes.
They will throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
43 Então os justos brilharão como o sol, no Reino de seu Pai. Quem tem ouvidos, ouça.
Then the righteous will shine like the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
44 O Reino dos céus é semelhante a um tesouro escondido num campo, que um homem, depois de achá-lo, escondeu. Então, em sua alegria, vai, vende tudo quanto tem, e compra aquele campo.
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid again, and in his joy he went and sold all that he had and bought the field.
45 O Reino dos céus também é semelhante a um homem negociante, que buscava boas pérolas.
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls.
46 Quando este achou uma pérola de grande valor, foi, vendeu tudo quanto tinha, e a comprou.
When he found one pearl of great price, he went and sold all that he had and bought it.
47 O Reino dos céus também é semelhante a uma rede lançada ao mar, que colhe toda espécie [de peixes].
“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a dragnet that was cast into the sea, catching all kinds of fish.
48 E quando está cheia, [os pescadores] puxam-na à praia, sentam-se, e recolhem os bons em cestos, mas os ruins lançam fora.
When it was full, the fishermen drew it to shore. Then they sat down and put the good fish into containers, but the bad ones they threw away.
So it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and separate the evil from the righteous (aiōn g165)
50 e os lançarão na fornalha de fogo. Ali haverá choro e ranger de dentes.
and throw them into the fiery furnace. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
51 Entendestes todas estas coisas? Eles lhe responderam: Sim.
Jesus said to them, “Do you understand all these things?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.”
52 E ele lhes disse: Portanto todo escriba que se tornou discípulo no Reino dos céus é semelhante a um chefe de casa, que do seu tesouro tira coisas novas e velhas.
Then he said to them, “Every scribe that has been trained as a disciple for the kingdom of heaven is like a master of a house who brings out of his treasure things new and old.”
53 E aconteceu que, quando Jesus acabou essas parábolas, retirou-se dali.
When Jesus had finished these parables, he departed from there.
54 E vindo à sua terra, ensinava-os na sinagoga deles, de tal maneira que ficavam admirados, e diziam: De onde [vêm] a este tal sabedoria, e os milagres?
Then he went to his hometown and taught the people in their synagogue. They were astonished and said, “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?
55 Não é este o filho do carpinteiro? E não se chama sua mãe Maria, e seus irmãos Tiago, José, Simão, e Judas?
Is this not the carpenter's son? Is not his mother's name Mary, and are not his brothers James, Joses, Simon, and Judas?
56 Não estão todas as suas irmãs conosco? Ora, de onde [vem] a este tudo isto?
Are not all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?”
57 E ofenderam-se por causa dele. Mas Jesus lhes disse: Não há profeta sem honra, a não ser em sua terra, e em sua casa.
And they took offense at him. Then Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own household.”
58 E não fez ali muitos milagres por causa da incredulidade deles.
And he did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief.
