Lucas 20
1 E aconteceu, num daqueles dias que, enquanto ele estava ensinando ao povo no Templo, e anunciando o Evangelho, vieram até ele os chefes dos sacerdotes, e os escribas com os anciãos.
And it came to passe, that on one of those dayes, as he taught the people in the Temple, and preached the Gospel, the hie Priests and the Scribes came vpon him with the Elders,
2 E falaram-lhe, dizendo: Dize-nos, com que autoridade fazes estas coisas? Ou quem é o que te deu esta autoridade?
And spake vnto him, saying, Tell vs by what authoritie thou doest these things, or who is hee that hath giuen thee this authoritie?
3 E respondendo ele, disse-lhes: Também eu vos perguntarei algo, e dizei-me:
And he answered, and sayde vnto them, I also will aske you one thing: tell me therefore:
4 O batismo de João era do céu, ou dos homens?
The baptisme of Iohn, was it from heauen, or of men?
5 E eles discutiam entre si, dizendo: Se dissermos: Do céu, ele nos dirá: Por que, então, vós não [o] crestes?
And they reasoned within themselues, saying, If we shall say, From heauen, he will say, Why then beleeued ye him not?
6 E se dissermos: Dos homens, todo o povo nos apedrejará; pois estão convencidos de que João era profeta.
But if we shall say, Of men, all the people will stone vs: for they be perswaded that Iohn was a Prophet.
7 E responderam que não sabiam de onde [era].
Therefore they answered, that they could not tell whence it was.
8 E Jesus lhes disse: Nem eu vos direi com que autoridade eu faço estas coisas.
Then Iesus sayd vnto them, Neither tell I you, by what authoritie I doe these things.
9 E começou a dizer ao povo esta parábola: Um certo homem plantou uma vinha, e a arrendou a [uns] lavradores, e viajou para outro país por muito tempo.
Then began he to speake to ye people this parable, A certaine man planted a vineyarde, and let it forth to husbandmen: and went into a strange countrey, for a great time.
10 E certo tempo [depois] mandou um servo aos lavradores, para que lhe dessem do fruto da vinha; mas os lavradores, espancando-o, mandaram [-no] sem coisa alguma.
And at the time conuenient he sent a seruant to the husbandmen, that they should giue him of the fruite of the vineyard: but the husbandmen did beate him, and sent him away emptie.
11 E voltou a mandar outro servo; mas eles, espancando e humilhando também [a ele], o mandaram sem nada.
Againe he sent yet another seruant: and they did beate him, and foule entreated him, and sent him away emptie.
12 E voltou a mandar ao terceiro; mas eles, ferindo também a este, [o] expulsaram.
Moreouer he sent the third, and him they wounded, and cast out.
13 E o senhor da vinha disse: Que farei? Mandarei a meu filho amado; talvez quando o verem, [o] respeitarão.
Then sayd the Lord of the vineyard, What shall I doe? I will send my beloued sonne: it may be that they will doe reuerence, when they see him.
14 Mas os lavradores, vendo-o, discutiram entre si, dizendo: Este é o herdeiro; vamos matá-lo, para que a herança venha a ser nossa.
But when the husbandmen sawe him, they reasoned with themselues, saying, This is the heire: come, let vs kill him, that the inheritance may be ours.
15 E expulsando-o da vinha, [o] mataram. O que, então, lhes fará o senhor da vinha?
So they cast him out of the vineyarde, and killed him. What shall the Lord of the vineyarde therefore doe vnto them?
16 Virá, e destruirá a estes lavradores, e dará a vinha a outros. E eles, ouvindo isto, disseram: Que [isto] nunca aconteça!
He will come and destroy these husbandmen, and wil giue out his vineyard to others. But when they heard it, they sayd, God forbid.
17 Mas [Jesus], olhando para eles, disse: Por que, então, isto está escrito: A pedra que os construtores rejeitaram, essa foi posta como a principal da esquina?
And he beheld them, and said, What meaneth this then that is written, The stone that the builders refused, that is made the head of the corner?
18 Todo aquele que cair sobre aquela pedra, se quebrará em pedaços; e aquele sobre quem ela cair, se fará pó.
Whosoeuer shall fall vpon that stone, shall be broken: and on whomsoeuer it shall fall, it will grinde him to pouder.
19 E os chefes dos sacerdotes e os escribas queriam detê-lo naquela mesma hora, mas temiam ao povo; porque entenderam que foi contra eles que ele tinha dito a parábola.
Then the hie Priests, and the Scribes the same houre went about to lay hands on him: (but they feared the people) for they perceiued that he had spoken this parable against them.
20 E, observando-o, mandaram espiões, que fingissem ser justos, para o pegarem por meio de algo que ele dissesse, e o entregarem ao poder e autoridade do governador.
And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should faine themselues iust men, to take him in his talke, and to deliuer him vnto the power and authoritie of the gouernour.
21 E perguntaram-lhe, dizendo: Mestre, nós sabemos que falas e ensinas corretamente, e que não te importas com as aparências, mas na verdade tu ensinas o caminho de Deus.
And they asked him, saying, Master, we know that thou sayest, and teachest right, neither doest thou accept mans person, but teachest the way of God truely.
22 É lícito para nós dar tributo a César, ou não?
Is it lawfull for vs to giue Cesar tribute or no?
23 E ele, entendendo a astúcia deles, disse-lhes:
But he perceiued their craftines, and sayd vnto them, Why tempt ye me?
24 Mostrai-me uma moeda; ela tem a imagem e a inscrição de quem? E eles, respondendo, disseram: De César.
Shew me a penie. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered, and sayd, Cesars.
25 Então lhes disse: Dai pois a César o que [é] de César, e a Deus o que [é] de Deus.
Then he sayd vnto them, Giue then vnto Cesar the things which are Cesars, and to God those which are Gods.
26 E não puderam lhe pegar em algo que ele tenha dito diante do povo; e maravilhados de sua resposta, calaram-se.
And they could not reproue his saying before the people: but they marueiled at his answere, and helde their peace.
27 E chegando-se alguns dos saduceus, que negam haver a ressurreição, perguntaram-lhe,
Then came to him certaine of the Sadduces (which denie that there is any resurrection) and they asked him,
28 Dizendo: Mestre, Moisés nos escreveu, que se o irmão de alguém morrer, tendo mulher, e morrer sem filhos, o irmão deve tomar a mulher, e gerar descendência a seu irmão.
Saying, Master, Moses wrote vnto vs, If any mans brother die hauing a wife, and hee die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise vp seede vnto his brother.
29 Houve, pois, sete irmãos, e o primeiro tomou mulher, e morreu sem filhos.
Now there were seuen brethren, and the first tooke a wife, and he dyed without children.
30 E o segundo,
And the second tooke the wife, and he dyed childelesse.
31 E o terceiro a tomou, e assim também os sete, e não deixaram filhos, e morreram.
Then the third tooke her: and so likewise the seuen dyed, and left no children.
32 E por fim, depois de todos, morreu também a mulher.
And last of all the woman dyed also.
33 Na ressurreição, pois, ela será mulher de qual deles? Pois os sete a tiveram por mulher.
Therefore at the resurrection, whose wife of them shall she be? for seuen had her to wife.
34 E respondendo Jesus, disse-lhes: Os filhos destes tempos se casam, e se dão em casamento. (aiōn g165)
Then Iesus answered, and sayd vnto them, The children of this world marry wiues, and are married. (aiōn g165)
35 Mas os que forem considerados dignos de alcançarem aqueles tempos futuros, e da ressurreição dos mortos, nem se casarão, nem se darão em casamento. (aiōn g165)
But they which shalbe counted worthy to enioy that world, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry wiues, neither are married. (aiōn g165)
36 Porque já não podem mais morrer; pois são iguais aos anjos; e são filhos de Deus, pois são filhos da ressurreição.
For they can die no more, forasmuch as they are equall vnto the Angels, and are the sonnes of God, since they are the children of the resurrection.
37 E até Moisés mostrou, junto à sarça, que os mortos ressuscitam, quando ele chama ao Senhor de Deus de Abraão, e Deus de Isaque, e Deus de Jacó.
And that the dead shall rise againe, euen Moses shewed it besides the bush, when he said, The Lord is the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Iacob.
38 Ora, ele não é Deus de mortos, mas de vivos; pois todos vivem por causa dele.
For he is not the God of the dead, but of them which liue: for all liue vnto him.
39 E alguns dos escribas, respondendo, disseram: Mestre, bem disseste.
Then certaine of the Scribes answered, and sayd, Master, thou hast well sayd.
40 E não ousavam lhe perguntar mais nada.
And after that, durst they not aske him any thing at all.
41 E ele lhes disse: Como dizem que o Cristo é filho de Davi?
Then sayd he vnto them, Howe say they that Christ is Dauids sonne?
42 Pois o próprio Davi diz no livro dos Salmos: Disse o Senhor a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita,
And Dauid himselfe sayth in the booke of the Psalmes, The Lord sayd vnto my Lord, Sit at my right hand,
43 Até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo de teus pés.
Till I shall make thine enemies thy footestoole.
44 Se Davi o chama de Senhor, como, então, é seu filho?
Seeing Dauid called him Lord, howe is he then his sonne?
45 Enquanto todo o povo estava ouvindo, ele disse a seus discípulos:
Then in the audience of all the people he sayd vnto his disciples,
46 Tomai cuidado com os escribas, que querem andar roupas compridas, e amam as saudações nas praças, e as primeiras cadeiras nas sinagogas, e os primeiros assentos nos jantares.
Beware of the Scribes, which willingly go in long robes, and loue salutations in the markets, and the highest seates in the assemblies, and the chiefe roomes at feastes:
47 Que devoram as casas das viúvas, e fingem fazer longas orações. Estes receberão mais grave condenação.
Which deuoure widowes houses, and in shewe make long prayers: These shall receiue greater damnation.
