Lucas 16
1 E dizia também a seus discípulos: Havia um certo homem rico, o qual tinha um mordomo; e este lhe foi acusado de fazer perder seus bens.
And he said also unto the disciples, There was a certain rich man, who had a steward; and the same was accused unto him that he was wasting his goods.
2 E ele, chamando-o, disse-lhe: Como ouço isto sobre ti? Presta contas de teu trabalho, porque não poderás mais ser [meu] mordomo.
And he called him, and said unto him, What is this that I hear of thee? render the account of thy stewardship; for thou canst be no longer steward.
3 E disse o mordomo para si mesmo: O que farei, agora que meu senhor está me tirando o trabalho de mordomo? Cavar eu não posso; mendigar eu tenho vergonha.
And the steward said within himself, What shall I do, seeing that my lord taketh away the stewardship from me? I have not strength to dig; to beg I am ashamed.
4 Eu sei o que farei, para que, quando eu for expulso do meu trabalho de mordomo, me recebam em suas casas.
I am resolved what to do, that, when I am put out of the stewardship, they may receive me into their houses.
5 E chamando a si a cada um dos devedores de seu senhor, disse ao primeiro: Quanto deves a meu senhor?
And calling to him each one of his lord’s debtors, he said to the first, How much owest thou unto my lord?
6 E ele disse: Cem medidas de azeite. E disse-lhe: Pega a tua conta, senta, e escreve logo cinquenta.
And he said, A hundred measures of oil. And he said unto him, Take thy bond, and sit down quickly and write fifty.
7 Depois disse a outro: E tu, quanto deves? E ele disse: Cem volumes de trigo. E disse-lhe: Toma tua conta, e escreve oitenta.
Then said he to another, And how much owest thou? And he said, A hundred measures of wheat. He saith unto him, Take thy bond, and write fourscore.
8 E aquele senhor elogiou o injusto mordomo, por ter feito prudentemente; porque os filhos deste mundo são mais prudentes do que os filhos da luz com esta geração. (aiōn g165)
And his lord commended the unrighteous steward because he had done wisely: for the sons of this world are for their own generation wiser than the sons of the light. (aiōn g165)
9 E eu vos digo: fazei amigos para vós com as riquezas da injustiça, para que quando vos faltar, vos recebam nos tabernáculos eternos. (aiōnios g166)
And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends by means of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when it shall fail, they may receive you into the eternal tabernacles. (aiōnios g166)
10 Quem é fiel no mínimo, também é fiel no muito; e quem é injusto no mínimo, também é injusto no muito.
He that is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much: and he that is unrighteous in a very little is unrighteous also in much.
11 Pois se nas riquezas da injustiça não fostes fiéis, quem vos confiará as verdadeiras [riquezas]?
If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true [riches]?
12 E se nas [coisas] dos outros não fostes fiéis, quem vos dará o que é vosso?
And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?
13 Nenhum servo pode servir a dois senhores; porque ou irá odiar a um, e a amar ao outro; ou irá se achegar a um, e desprezar ao outro. Não podeis servir a Deus e às riquezas.
No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
14 E os fariseus também ouviram todas estas coisas, eles que eram avarentos. E zombaram dele.
And the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, heard all these things; and they scoffed at him.
15 E disse-lhes: Vós sois os que justificais a vós mesmos diante dos seres humanos; mas Deus conhece vossos corações. Porque o que é excelente para os seres humanos é odiável diante de Deus.
And he said unto them, Ye are they that justify yourselves in the sight of men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God.
16 A Lei e os profetas [foram] até João; desde então, o Reino de Deus é anunciado, todo homem [tenta entrar] nele pela força.
The law and the prophets [were] until John: from that time the gospel of the kingdom of God is preached, and every man entereth violently into it.
17 E é mais fácil passar o céu e a terra do que cair um traço de alguma letra da Lei.
But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than for one tittle of the law to fall.
18 Qualquer que deixa sua mulher, e casa com outra, adultera; e qualquer que se casa com a deixada pelo marido, [também] adultera.
Every one that putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and he that marrieth one that is put away from a husband committeth adultery.
19 Havia porém um certo homem rico, e vestia-se de púrpura, e de linho finíssimo, e festejava todo dia com luxo.
Now there was a certain rich man, and he was clothed in purple and fine linen, faring sumptuously every day:
20 Havia também um certo mendigo, de nome Lázaro, o qual ficava deitado à sua porta cheio de feridas.
and a certain beggar named Lazarus was laid at his gate, full of sores,
21 E desejava se satisfazer com as migalhas que caíam da mesa do rico; porém vinham também os cães, e lambiam suas feridas.
and desiring to be fed with the [crumbs] that fell from the rich man’s table; yea, even the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 E aconteceu que o mendigo morreu, e foi levado pelos anjos para o colo de Abraão. E o rico também morreu, e foi sepultado.
And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and that he was carried away by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: and the rich man also died, and was buried.
23 E estando no Xeol em tormentos, ele levantou seus olhos, e viu a Abraão de longe, e a Lázaro junto dele. (Hadēs g86)
And in Hades he lifted up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. (Hadēs g86)
24 E ele, chamando, disse: Pai Abraão, tem misericórdia de mim, e manda a Lázaro que molhe a ponta de seu dedo na água, e refresque a minha língua; porque estou sofrendo neste fogo.
And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am in anguish in this flame.
25 Porém Abraão disse: Filho, lembra-te que em tua vida recebeste teus bens, e Lázaro do mesmo jeito [recebeu] males. E agora este é consolado, e tu [és] atormentado.
But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and Lazarus in like manner evil things: but now here he is comforted, and thou art in anguish.
26 E, além de tudo isto, um grande abismo está posto entre nós e vós, para os que quisessem passar daqui para vós não possam; nem também os daí passarem para cá.
And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, that they that would pass from hence to you may not be able, and that none may cross over from thence to us.
27 E disse ele: Rogo-te, pois, ó pai, que o mandes à casa de meu pai.
And he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house;
28 Porque tenho cinco irmãos, para que lhes dê testemunho; para que também não venham para este lugar de tormento.
for I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
29 Disse-lhe Abraão: Eles têm a Moisés e aos profetas, ouçam-lhes.
But Abraham saith, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
30 E ele disse: Não, pai Abraão; mas se alguém dos mortos fosse até eles, eles se arrependeriam.
And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one go to them from the dead, they will repent.
31 Porém [Abraão] lhe disse: Se não ouvem a Moisés e aos profetas, também não se deixariam convencer, ainda que alguém ressuscite dos mortos.
And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, if one rise from the dead.
