João 15
1 Eu sou a videira verdadeira, e meu Pai é o lavrador.
I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Todo ramo que em mim não dá fruto, ele o tira; e todo o que da fruto, ele o limpa, para que dê mais fruto.
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, he taketh it away: and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he cleanseth it, that it may bear more fruit.
3 Vós já estais limpos pela palavra que vos tenho falado.
Already ye are clean because of the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Estai em mim, e eu em vós; como o ramo de si mesmo não pode dar fruto, se não estiver na videira, assim vós também não, se não estiverdes em mim.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; so neither can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 Eu sou a videira, vós [sois] os ramos; quem está em mim, e eu nele, esse dá muito fruto; porque sem mim nada podeis fazer.
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit: for apart from me ye can do nothing.
6 Se alguém não estiver em mim, é lançado fora, como o ramo, e seca-se; e os colhem, e os lançam no fogo, e ardem.
If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and they gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
7 Se vós estiverdes em mim, e minhas palavras estiverem em vós, tudo o que quiserdes pedireis, e será feito para vós.
If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
8 Nisto é glorificado meu Pai, em que deis muito fruto; e [assim] sereis meus discípulos.
Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; and [so] shall ye be my disciples.
9 Como o Pai me amou, também eu vos amei; estai neste meu amor.
Even as the Father hath loved me, I also have loved you: abide ye in my love.
10 Se guardardes meus mandamentos, estareis em meu amor. Como eu tenho guardado os mandamentos de meu Pai, e estou em seu amor.
If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
11 Estas coisas eu tenho vos dito para que minha alegria esteja em vós, e vossa alegria seja completa.
These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy may be in you, and [that] your joy may be made full.
12 Este é meu mandamento: que vos ameis uns aos outros, assim como eu vos amei.
This is my commandment, that ye love one another, even as I have loved you.
13 Ninguém tem maior amor que este: que alguém ponha sua vida por seus amigos.
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
14 Vós sois meus amigos, se fizerdes o que eu vos mando.
Ye are my friends, if ye do the things which I command you.
15 Já não vos chamo mais servos; porque o servo não sabe o que faz seu senhor; mas eu tenho vos chamado de amigos, porque tudo quanto ouvi de meu Pai eu tenho vos feito conhecer.
No longer do I call you servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I heard from my Father I have made known unto you.
16 Não [fostes] vós [que] me escolhestes, porém eu vos escolhi, e tenho vos posto para que vades, e deis fruto, e vosso fruto permaneça; para que tudo quanto pedirdes ao Pai em meu nome, ele vos dê.
Ye did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that ye should go and bear fruit, and [that] your fruit should abide: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
17 Isto vos mando, para que vos ameis uns aos outros.
These things I command you, that ye may love one another.
18 Se o mundo vos odeia, sabei que odiou a mim antes que a vós.
If the world hateth you, ye know that it hath hated me before [it hated] you.
19 Se vós fôsseis do mundo, o mundo amaria ao seu; mas porque não sois do mundo, antes eu vos escolhi do mundo, por isso o mundo vos odeia.
If ye were of the world, the world would love its own: but because ye are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
20 Lembrai-vos da palavra que vos tenho dito: não é o servo maior que seu senhor. Se me perseguiram, também vos perseguirão; se guardaram minha palavra, também guardarão a vossa.
Remember the word that I said unto you, A servant is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they kept my word, they will keep yours also.
21 Mas tudo isto vos farão por causa do meu nome; porque não conhecem a aquele que me enviou.
But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.
22 Se eu não tivesse vindo, nem lhes houvesse falado, não teriam pecado; mas agora já não têm pretexto pelo seu pecado.
If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no excuse for their sin.
23 Quem me odeia, também odeia a meu Pai.
He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
24 Se eu entre eles não tivesse feito obras, que nenhum outro fizera, não teriam pecado; mas agora as viram, e [contudo] odiaram a mim, e a meu Pai.
If I had not done among them the works which none other did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 Mas [isto é] para que se cumpra a palavra que está escrita em sua Lei: Sem causa me odiaram.
But [this cometh to pass], that the word may be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
26 Mas quando vier o Consolador, que eu do Pai vos enviarei, aquele Espírito de verdade, que sai do Pai, ele testemunhará de mim.
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall bear witness of me:
27 E também vós testemunhareis, pois estivestes comigo desde o princípio.
and ye also bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.
