João 14
1 Não se perturbe vosso coração; credes em Deus, crede também em mim.
Let not your heart be troubled: believe in God, believe also in me.
2 Na casa de meu Pai há muitas moradas; senão, eu vos diria; vou para vos preparar lugar.
In my Father's house there are many mansions; if not, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you.
3 E quando eu for, e vos preparar lugar, outra vez virei, e vos tomarei comigo, para que vós também estejais onde eu estiver.
And as I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you to myself, that where I am, ye may also be.
4 E já sabeis para onde vou, e sabeis o caminho.
And ye know where I am going, and ye know the way.
5 Disse-lhe Tomé: Senhor, não sabemos para onde vais; e como podemos saber o caminho?
Thomas saith unto Him, Lord, we know not whither thou art going, and how can we know the way?
6 Jesus lhe disse: Eu sou o caminho, e a verdade, e a vida. Ninguém vem ao Pai, a não ser por mim.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.
7 Se vós conhecêsseis a mim, também conheceríeis a meu Pai; e desde agora já o conheceis, e o tendes visto.
If ye had known me, ye would have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye do know Him, and may be said to have seen Him.
8 Disse-lhe Filipe: Senhor, mostra-nos ao Pai, e basta-nos.
Philip saith unto Him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus lhe disse: Tanto tempo [há que] estou convosco, e [ainda] não me tens conhecido, Filipe? Quem a mim tem visto, já tem visto ao Pai; e como dizes tu: Mostra-nos ao Pai?
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long with you, and dost thou not know me? Philip, he that hath seen me, hath seen the Father: and how then dost thou say, Shew us the Father?
10 Não crês tu que eu [estou] no Pai, e que o Pai está em mim? As palavras que eu vos falo, não as falo de mim mesmo, mas o Pai que está em mim, ele [é o que] faz as obras.
Dost thou not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? as to the words which I speak to you, I speak them not of my self; and the Father who abideth in me, doth the works.
11 Crede em mim que eu [estou] no Pai, e [que] o Pai está em mim; e quando não, crede em mim por causa das próprias obras.
Believe me therefore that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: at lest, believe me for the very works.
12 Em verdade, em verdade vos digo, que aquele que crê em mim, as obras que eu faço também ele as fará; e fará maiores que estas. Porque eu vou a meu Pai.
Verily, verily I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I perform he also shall perform, and greater than these shall he do: because I am going to the Father.
13 E tudo quanto pedirdes em meu nome, eu o farei; para que o Pai seja glorificado no Filho.
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, I will do it: that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 Se alguma coisa me pedirdes em meu nome, eu [a] farei.
If ye ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 Se me amais, guardai meus mandamentos.
If ye love me, keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father,
16 E eu rogarei ao Pai, e ele vos dará outro Consolador, para que fique sempre convosco; (aiōn g165)
and He will give you another comforter to abide with you for ever: (aiōn g165)
17 Ao Espírito de verdade, a quem o mundo não pode receber; porque não o vê, nem o conhece; mas vós o conheceis, porque habita convosco, e estará em vós.
even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth Him not, neither knoweth Him: but ye know Him, because He abideth with you, and shall be in you.
18 Não vos deixarei órfãos; eu virei a vós.
I will not leave you orphans: I will come to you.
19 Ainda um pouco, e o mundo não me verá mais; mas vós me vereis; porque eu vivo, e vós vivereis.
Yet a little while, and the world shall see me no more; but ye shall see me: and because I live, ye shall live also.
20 Naquele dia conhecereis que [estou] em meu Pai, e vós em mim, e eu em vós.
Then ye shall know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.
21 Quem tem meus mandamentos, e os guarda, esse é o que me ama; e quem a mim me ama, será amado de meu Pai, e eu o amarei, e a ele me manifestarei.
He that hath my commandments and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest my self to him.
22 Disse-lhe Judas (não o Iscariotes): Senhor, que há, porque a nós te manifestarás, e não ao mundo?
Judas (not the Iscariot) saith unto Him, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thy self to us, and not to the world?
23 Respondeu Jesus, e disse-lhe: Se alguém me ama, guardará minha palavra, e meu Pai o amará, e viremos a ele, e faremos morada com ele.
Jesus answered and said unto him, If any one love me, he will observe my word: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and will make our abode with him.
24 Quem não me ama, não guarda minhas palavras. E a palavra que ouvis não é minha, mas sim do Pai que me enviou.
He that doth not love me, doth not observe my words: and yet the word that ye hear, is not mine, but the Father's who hath sent me.
25 Estas coisas tenho dito a vós, estando [ainda] convosco.
These things have I spoken unto you, while I have been with you.
26 Mas aquele Consolador, o Espírito Santo, ao qual o Pai enviará em meu nome, esse vos ensinará tudo, e tudo quanto tenho dito vós, [ele] vos fará lembrar.
But the comforter, that is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I have said unto you.
27 A paz vos deixo, minha paz vos dou; vou dá- [la] a vós, não como o mundo [a] dá. Não se perturbe vosso coração, nem se atemorize.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, do I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
28 Já ouvistes que vos tenho dito: Vou, e venho a vós. Se me amásseis, verdadeiramente vos alegraríeis, porque tenho dito: Vou ao Pai; pois meu Pai maior é que eu.
Ye have heard, how I said unto you, "I am going away, and I shall come again to you." If ye loved me, ye would rejoice that I said, I am going to the Father: for my Father is greater than I.
29 E já agora o disse a vós antes que aconteça, para que quando acontecer, [o] creiais.
And now I have told you before it come to pass, that when it cometh to pass ye may believe.
30 Já não falarei muito convosco; pois o príncipe deste mundo já vem, e ele nada tem em mim.
I shall not have much more conversation with you: for the prince of this world is coming; not that he hath any thing in me,
31 Mas para que o mundo saiba que eu amo ao Pai, e assim faço como o Pai me mandou; levantai-vos, vamos embora daqui.
but that the world may know that I love the Father, and that I do as the Father hath commanded me. Arise, let us go hence.
