Joel 3
1 Porque eis que naqueles dias e naquele tempo eu restaurarei Judá e Jerusalém de seu infortúnio.
For, in those days and in that time, when I bring back again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,
2 Então ajuntarei todas as nações, e as farei descer ao vale de Josafá; e ali entrarei em juízo com elas por causa do meu povo, e de minha herança Israel, aos quais dispersaram entre as nações, e repartiram minha terra;
I will also gather all the nations and bring them down into the Valley of Jehoshaphat, and there I will enter into judgment with them for my people and my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and divided my land.
3 E lançaram sortes sobre meu povo, e deram os rapazes em troca de prostitutas, e venderam as moças em troca de vinho para beberem.
They have cast lots for my people. They have traded boys for prostitutes, and sold girls for wine, and drunk it.
4 Além disso, o que tendes a ver comigo vós, Tiro e Sidom, e todas as regiões da Filístia? Quereis vos vingar de mim? E se quereis vos vingar de mim, apressadamente eu vos retribuirei o pagamento sobre vossa cabeça.
What are you to me, Tyre and Sidon and all the districts of Philistia? Were you repaying any deed of mine, or were you doing something for me? Quickly will I return your deed upon your heads.
5 Pois levastes minha prata e meu ouro, e minhas coisas valiosas e boas pusestes em vossos templos,
You who have taken my silver and my gold, and you have brought my goodly jewels into your palaces,
6 E vendestes os filhos de Judá e os filhos de Jerusalém aos filhos dos gregos, para os distanciar de sua pátria.
you have sold the people of Judah and of Jerusalem to the Greeks, so that you might remove them far from their own borders.
7 Eis que eu os levantarei do lugar para onde os vendestes, e retribuirei vosso pagamento sobre vossa cabeça.
I am about to stir them up from the place to which you have sold them, and I will turn your deeds upon your own head.
8 E venderei vossos filhos e vossas filhas na mão dos filhos de Judá, e eles os venderão aos sabeus, uma nação distante; porque o SENHOR falou.
I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hands of the people of Judah, and they will sell them to the Sabeans, to a nation far off, for the Lord has spoken.
9 Proclamai isto entre as nações, convocai uma guerra; despertai aos guerreiros, acheguem-se, venham todos os homens de guerra.
Proclaim this among the nations, sanctify war. Arouse the warriors, let all the fighting men muster and go up.
10 Fazei espadas de vossas enxadas, e lanças de vossas foices; diga o fraco: Sou forte.
Beat your ploughshares into swords, and your pruning-hooks into lances; let the weak say, I, indeed, am strong.
11 Ajuntai-vos e vinde, todas as nações ao redor, e reuni-vos. (Ó SENHOR, faze vir ali os teus fortes!)
Bestir yourselves and come, all you nations round about. Quickly gather yourselves together, ask the Lord to bring his warriors.
12 Levantem-se as nações, e subam ao vale de Josafá; porque ali eu me sentarei para julgar todas as nações ao redor.
Let the nations rouse themselves and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat, for there will I sit to judge all the surrounding nations.
13 Lançai a foice, porque a colheita já está madura. Vinde, descei; porque a prensa de uvas está cheia, os tanques transbordam; porque a maldade deles é grande.
Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe; go in, tread, for the wine press is full. The vats overflow, for great is their wickedness.
14 Multidões! Multidões no vale da decisão! Porque perto está o dia do SENHOR no vale da decisão.
Noisy multitudes, noisy multitudes in the valley of decision. For near is the Lord’s day in the valley of decision!
15 O sol e a lua se escurecerão, e as estrelas recolherão seu brilho.
Sun and moon have turned dark, and the stars withdrawn their shining.
16 E o SENHOR bramará desde Sião, e dará sua voz desde Jerusalém, e os céus e a terra tremerão; mas o SENHOR será o refúgio de seu povo, e a fortaleza dos filhos de Israel.
Whenever the Lord roars from Zion and utters his voice from Jerusalem, earth and sky quake; but the Lord is a refuge to his people, and a fortress to the people of Israel.
17 Então sabereis que eu sou o SENHOR vosso Deus, que habito em Sião, o meu santo monte; e Jerusalém será santa, e estrangeiros não mais passarão mais por ela.
And you will know that I am the Lord your God, I who dwells in Zion, my holy mountain, and Jerusalem will be holy, and strangers will not pass through her any more.
18 E será naquele tempo, que os montes destilarão suco de uva, e os morros fluirão leite, e por todos os ribeiros de Judá correrão águas; e sairá uma fonte da casa do SENHOR, que regará o vale de Sitim.
In that day, the mountains will drop sweet wine, the hills will flow with milk, all the channels of Judah will flow with water, a fountain will spring from the house of Judah, and will water the Valley of Shittim.
19 O Egito será uma assolação, e Edom se tornará um deserto assolado, por causa da violência que fizeram aos filhos de Judá, em cuja terra derramaram sangue inocente.
Egypt will become a desolation, and Edom a wilderness, because of the violence done to the people of Judah, because they shed innocent blood in their land,
20 Mas Judá permanecerá para sempre, e Jerusalém de geração em geração.
Judah will remain inhabited forever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation.
21 E purificarei o sangue que não tinha purificado; e o SENHOR habitará em Sião.
I will avenge their blood which I have not yet avenged. The Lord lives in Zion!
