Jó 25

1 Então Bildade, o suíta, respondeu, dizendo:

Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said:

2 O domínio e o temor estão com ele; ele faz paz em suas alturas.

Dominion and fear are with Him; He maintaineth peace in his high places.

3 Por acaso suas tropas têm número? E sobre quem não se levanta sua luz?

Is there any numbering of his hosts? And upon whom doth not his light arise?

4 Como, pois, o ser humano seria justo para com Deus? E como seria puro aquele que nasce de mulher?

How then can man be righteous before? Or how can he be pure that is born of woman?

5 Eis que até a luz não tem brilho; nem as estrelas são puras diante de seus olhos.

Behold, even the moon, it shineth not; And the stars are not pure in his sight,

6 Quanto menos o ser humano, que é uma larva, e o filho de homem, que é um verme.

How much less, man, a worm; And the son of man, a reptile!
