Jó 21
1 Porém Jó respondeu, dizendo:
Bvt Iob answered, and sayd,
2 Ouvi atentamente minhas palavras, e seja isto vossas consolações.
Heare diligently my wordes, and this shalbe in stead of your consolations.
3 Suportai-me, e eu falarei; e depois de eu ter falado, [então] zombai.
Suffer mee, that I may speake, and when I haue spoken, mocke on.
4 Por acaso eu me queixo de algum ser humano? Porém ainda que [assim fosse], por que meu espírito não se angustiaria?
Doe I direct my talke to man? If it were so, how should not my spirit be troubled?
5 Olhai-me, e espantai-vos; e ponde a mão sobre a boca.
Marke mee, and be abashed, and lay your hand vpon your mouth.
6 Pois quando eu me lembro [disto], me assombro, e minha carne é tomada de tremor.
Euen when I remember, I am afrayde, and feare taketh hold on my flesh.
7 Por que razão os perversos vivem, envelhecem, e ainda crescem em poder?
Wherefore do the wicked liue, and waxe olde, and grow in wealth?
8 Seus filhos progridem com eles diante de seus rostos; e seus descendentes diante de seus olhos.
Their seede is established in their sight with them, and their generation before their eyes.
9 Suas casas têm paz, sem temor, e a vara de Deus não está contra eles.
Their houses are peaceable without feare, and the rod of God is not vpon them.
10 Seus touros procriam, e não falham; suas vacas geram filhotes, e não abortam.
Their bullocke gendreth, and fayleth not: their cow calueth, and casteth not her calfe.
11 Suas crianças saem como um rebanho, e seus filhos saem dançando.
They send forth their children like sheepe, and their sonnes dance.
12 Levantam [a voz] ao [som] de tamboril e de harpa e se alegram ao som de flauta.
They take the tabret and harpe, and reioyce in the sound of the organs.
They spend their dayes in wealth, and suddenly they go downe to the graue. (Sheol h7585)
14 Assim dizem a Deus: Afasta-te de nós, porque não queremos conhecer teus caminhos.
They say also vnto God, Depart from vs: for we desire not the knowledge of thy wayes.
15 Quem é o Todo-Poderoso, para que o sirvamos? E de que nos aproveitará que oremos a ele?
Who is the Almightie, that we should serue him? and what profit should we haue, if we should pray vnto him?
16 Eis que sua prosperidade não se deve às mãos deles. Longe de mim esteja o conselho dos perversos!
Lo, their wealth is not in their hand: therfore let the counsell of the wicked bee farre from me.
17 Quantas vezes sucede que a lâmpada dos perversos se apaga, e sua perdição vem sobre eles, [e] Deus em sua ira [lhes] reparte dores?
How oft shall the candle of the wicked be put out? and their destruction come vpon them? he wil deuide their liues in his wrath.
18 Eles serão como palha diante do vento, como o restos de palha que o turbilhão arrebata.
They shall be as stubble before the winde, and as chaffe that the storme carieth away.
19 [Vós dizeis]: Deus guarda sua violência para seus filhos. Que [Deus] pague ao próprio [perverso], para que o conheça.
God wil lay vp the sorowe of the father for his children: when he rewardeth him, hee shall knowe it.
20 Seus olhos vejam sua ruína, e beba da ira do Todo-Poderoso.
His eyes shall see his destruction, and he shall drinke of the wrath of the Almightie.
21 Pois que interesse teria ele em sua casa depois de si, quando o número for cortado o número de seus meses?
For what pleasure hath he in his house after him, when the nomber of his moneths is cut off?
22 Poderia alguém ensinar conhecimento a Deus, que julga [até] os que estão no alto?
Shall any teache God knowledge, who iudgeth the highest things?
23 Alguém morre na sua força plena, estando todo tranquilo e próspero,
One dyeth in his full strength, being in all ease and prosperitie.
24 Seus baldes estando cheios de leite, e o tutano de seus ossos umedecido.
His breasts are full of milke, and his bones runne full of marowe.
25 Porém outro morre com amargura de alma, nunca tendo experimentado a prosperidade.
And another dieth in the bitternes of his soule, and neuer eateth with pleasure.
26 Juntamente jazem no pó, e os vermes os cobrem.
They shall sleepe both in the dust, and the wormes shall couer them.
27 Eis que eu sei vossos pensamentos, e os mais intentos que planejais contra mim.
Behold, I know your thoughts, and the enterprises, wherewith ye do me wrong.
28 Porque dizeis: Onde está a casa do príncipe?, e: Onde está tenda das moradas dos perversos?
For ye say, Where is the princes house? and where is the tabernacle of the wickeds dwelling?
29 Por acaso não perguntastes aos que passam pelo caminho, e não conheceis seus sinais?
May ye not aske the that go by the way? and ye can not deny their signes.
30 Que os maus são preservados no dia da destruição, [e] são livrados no dia das fúrias?
But the wicked is kept vnto the day of destruction, and they shall be brought forth to the day of wrath.
31 Quem lhe denunciará seu caminho em sua face? E quem lhe pagará pelo que ele fez?
Who shall declare his way to his face? and who shall reward him for that he hath done?
32 Finalmente ele é levado à sepultura, e no túmulo fazem vigilância.
Yet shall he be brought to the graue, and remaine in the heape.
33 Os torrões do vale lhe são doces; e todos o seguem; e adiante dele estão inúmeros.
The slimie valley shalbe sweete vnto him, and euery man shall draw after him, as before him there were innumerable.
34 Como, pois, me consolais em vão, já que vossas em vossas respostas [só] resta falsidade?
How then comfort ye me in vaine, seeing in your answeres there remaine but lyes?
