Isaías 63
1 Quem é este, que vem de Edom, de Bozra, com vestes salpicadas de vermelho, este ornado em sua vestimenta, que marcha com grande força? Eu, o que falo em justiça, poderoso para salvar.
Who is this that cometh from Edom, with deep-red garments from Bozrah, this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? — I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
2 Por que tu estás de roupa vermelha, e tuas vestes como de alguém que pisa em uma prensa de uvas?
— Wherefore is redness in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winevat?
3 Eu sozinho pisei na prensa de uvas, e ninguém dos povos houve comigo; e os pisei em minha ira, e os esmaguei em meu furor; e o sangue deles salpicou sobre minhas roupas, e sujei toda a minha roupa.
I have trodden the winepress alone, and of the peoples not a man was with me; and I have trodden them in mine anger, and trampled them in my fury; and their blood is sprinkled upon my garments, and I have stained all mine apparel.
4 Porque o dia da vingança estava em meu coração; e o ano de meus redimidos havia chegado.
For the day of vengeance was in my heart, and the year of my redeemed had come.
5 E olhei, e não havia quem [me] ajudasse; e me espantei de que não houvesse quem [me] apoiasse; por isso meu braço me trouxe a salvação, e meu furor me apoiou.
And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: and mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.
6 E atropelei os povos em minha ira, e os embebedei em meu furor; e fiz descer o sangue deles até a terra.
And I have trodden down the peoples in mine anger, and made them drunk in my fury; and their blood have I brought down to the earth.
7 Farei menção das bondades do SENHOR, [e] dos louvores ao SENHOR, conforme tudo quanto o SENHOR fez para nós; e do grande bem à casa de Israel, que ele tem lhes concedido segundo suas misericórdias, e segundo a abundância de suas bondades;
I will record the loving-kindnesses of Jehovah, the praises of Jehovah, according to all that Jehovah hath bestowed upon us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel which he hath bestowed upon them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his loving-kindnesses.
8 Pois ele dizia: Certamente eles são meu povo, são filhos que não mentirão; assim ele se tornou o Salvador deles.
And he said, They are indeed my people, children that will not lie; and he became their Saviour.
9 Em toda a angústia deles, ele [também] se angustiou, e o anjo de sua presença os salvou; por seu amor e por sua piedade ele os redimiu; e os tomou, e os carregou [em] todos os dias antigos.
In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the Angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bore them and carried them all the days of old.
10 Porém eles foram rebeldes, e entristeceram seu Espírito Santo; por isso ele se tornou inimigo deles, [e] ele mesmo lutou contra eles.
But they rebelled and grieved his holy Spirit: and he turned to be their enemy; himself, he fought against them.
11 Contudo ele se lembrou dos dias antigos, de Moisés, [e] de seu povo. Onde está aquele que os fez subir do mar com os pastores de seu rebanho? Onde está aquele que punha no meio deles seu Espírito Santo?
But he remembered the days of old, Moses [and] his people: Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? Where is he that put his holy Spirit within him,
12 [Onde está] aquele que fez seu glorioso braço andar à direita de Moisés, que dividiu as águas perante a presença deles, para fazer seu nome eterno;
his glorious arm leading them by the right hand of Moses, dividing the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name,
13 Que os guiou pelos abismos como cavalo no deserto, [de tal modo que] nunca tropeçaram?
— who led them through the depths, like a horse in the wilderness, [and] they stumbled not?
14 Tal como um animal que desce aos vales, o Espírito do SENHOR lhes deu descanso; assim guiaste a teu povo, para fazeres teu nome ser glorioso.
As cattle go down into the valley, the Spirit of Jehovah gave them rest; so didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious name.
15 Olha desde os céus, e vê desde tua santa e gloriosa habitação; onde está teu zelo e tuas forças? A comoção dos sentimentos de teu interior e de tuas misericórdias se retiveram para comigo.
Look down from the heavens, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory! Where is thy zeal and thy strength, the sounding of thy bowels and of thy tender mercies? Are they restrained toward me?
16 Porém tu és nosso Pai, porque Abraão não sabe de nós, nem Israel nos conhece. Tu, SENHOR, és nosso Pai; desde os tempos antigos o teu nome é Nosso Redentor.
For thou art our Father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, Jehovah, art our Father; our Redeemer, from everlasting, is thy name.
17 Por que, ó SENHOR, tu nos fazes andar fora de teus caminhos? Por que endureces nosso coração para que não tenhamos temor a ti? Volta, por favor a teus servos, às tribos de tua herança.
Why, O Jehovah, hast thou made us to err from thy ways, hast hardened our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants' sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.
18 Por um pouco de tempo teu santo povo [a] possuiu; nossos adversários pisaram teu santuário.
Thy holy people have possessed [it] but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary.
19 Nós nos tornamos [como aqueles] de quem nunca dominaste, [semelhantes] aos que nunca foram chamados pelo teu nome.
We have become [like those] over whom thou never barest rule, those not called by thy name.
