Isaías 53
1 Quem creu em nossa pregação? E a quem se manifestou o braço do SENHOR?
Who will beleeue our report? and to whom is the arme of the Lord reueiled?
2 Pois foi crescendo como renovo perante ele, e como raiz de terra seca; não tinha boa aparência nem formosura; e quando olhávamos para ele, não havia [nele] boa aparência, para que o desejássemos.
But hee shall growe vp before him as a branche, and as a roote out of a dry grounde: he hath neither forme nor beautie: when we shall see him, there shall be no forme that wee should desire him.
3 Ele era desprezado e rejeitado entre os homens, era homem de dores, e experiente em enfermidade; ele era como alguém de quem [os outros] escondiam o rosto; era desprezado, e não lhe estimávamos.
He is despised and reiected of men: he is a man full of sorowes and hath experience of infirmities: we hidde as it were our faces from him: he was despised and we esteemed him not.
4 Verdadeiramente ele tomou sobre si nossas enfermidades, e nossas dores levou sobre si; e nós o considerávamos como afligido, ferido por Deus, e oprimido.
Surely hee hath borne our infirmities, and caried our sorowes: yet wee did iudge him, as plagued, and smitten of God, and humbled.
5 Porém ele foi ferido por nossas transgressões, [e] esmagado por nossas perversidades; o castigo que nos traz a paz estava sobre ele, e por suas feridas fomos curados.
But hee was wounded for our transgressions, hee was broken for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was vpon him, and with his stripes we are healed.
6 Todos nós andávamos sem rumo como ovelhas; cada um se desviava por seu caminho; porém o SENHOR fez vir sobre ele a perversidade de todos nós.
All we like sheepe haue gone astraye: wee haue turned euery one to his owne way, and the Lord hath layed vpon him the iniquitie of vs all.
7 Ele foi oprimido e afligido, porém não abriu sua boca; tal como cordeiro ele foi levado ao matadouro, e como ovelha muda perante seus tosquiadores, assim ele não abriu sua boca.
Hee was oppressed and he was afflicted, yet did he not open his mouth: hee is brought as a sheepe to the slaughter, and as a sheepe before her shearer is dumme, so he openeth not his mouth.
8 Com opressão e julgamento ele foi removido; e quem falará de sua geração? Porque ele foi cortado da terra dos viventes; pela transgressão do meu povo ele foi ferido.
Hee was taken out from prison, and from iudgement: and who shall declare his age? for he was cut out of the lande of the liuing: for the transgression of my people was he plagued.
9 E puseram sua sepultura com perversos, e com um rico em sua morte; pois ele nunca fez injustiça, nem houve engano em sua boca.
And he made his graue with the wicked, and with the riche in his death, though hee had done no wickednesse, neither was any deceite in his mouth.
10 Porém agradou ao SENHOR esmagá-lo, fazendo-o ficar enfermo; quando sua alma for posta como expiação do pecado, ele verá semente, [e] prolongará os dias; e o bom prazer do SENHOR prosperará em sua mão.
Yet the Lord would breake him, and make him subiect to infirmities: when hee shall make his soule an offring for sinne, he shall see his seede and shall prolong his dayes, and the will of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.
11 A [consequência] do trabalho de sua alma ele verá [e] se fartará; com seu conhecimento o meu servo, o justo, justificará a muitos, pois levará sobre si as perversidades deles.
Hee shall see of the trauaile of his soule, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous seruant iustifie many: for hee shall beare their iniquities.
12 Por isso lhe darei a porção de muitos, e e com os poderosos ele repartirá despojo, pois derramou sua alma na morte, e foi contado com os transgressores; e levou sobre si o pecado de muitos, e intercedeu pelos transgressores.
Therefore will I giue him a portion with the great, and he shall deuide the spoyle with the strong, because hee hath powred out his soule vnto death: and he was counted with the transgressers, and he bare the sinne of many, and prayed for the trespassers.
