Isaías 50
1 Assim diz o SENHOR: Onde está a carta de divórcio de vossa mãe, com que eu a mandei embora? Ou a qual dos meus credores foi que eu vos vendi? Eis que por vossas maldades fostes vendidos, e por vossas transgressões vossa mãe foi expulsa.
Thus says the Lord, Of what kind is your mother's bill of divorcement, by which I put her away? or to which debtor have I sold you? Behold, you are sold for your sins, and for your iniquities have I put your mother away.
2 Por que razão quando eu vim ninguém apareceu? Chamei, e ninguém respondeu. Por acaso minha mão se encurtou tanto, que já não posso resgatar? Ou não há [mais] poder em mim para livrar? Eis que com minha repreensão faço secar o mar, torno os rios em deserto, até federem seus peixes por não haver água, e morrem de sede.
Why did I come, and there was no man? [why] did I call, and there was none to listen? Is not my hand strong to redeem? or can I not deliver? behold, by my rebuke I will dry up the sea, and make rivers a wilderness; and their fish shall be dried up because there is no water, and shall die for thirst.
3 Eu visto aos céus de negro, e ponho um saco como sua cobertura.
I will clothe the sky with darkness, and will make its covering as sackcloth.
4 O Senhor DEUS me deu língua de instruídos, para que eu saiba falar no tempo devido uma [boa] palavra ao cansado; ele me desperta todas as manhãs, desperta o meu ouvido para que eu ouça como os instruídos.
The Lord [even] God gives me the tongue of instruction, to know when it is fit to speak a word: he has appointed for me early, he has given me an ear to hear:
5 O Senhor DEUS abriu os meus ouvidos, e não sou rebelde; nem me viro para trás.
and the instruction of the Lord, even the Lord, opens mine ears, and I do not disobey, nor dispute.
6 Dei minhas costas aos que [me] feriam, e os lados do meu rosto aos que me arrancavam os pelos; não escondo minha face de humilhações e cuspidas;
I gave my back to scourges, and my cheeks to blows; and I turned not away my face from the shame of spitting:
7 Porque o Senhor DEUS me ajuda; portanto não me envergonho; por isso pus meu rosto como pedra muito dura; porque sei que não serei envergonhado.
but the Lord God became my helper; therefore I was not ashamed, but I set my face as a solid rock; and I know that I shall never be ashamed,
8 Perto está aquele que me justifica; quem se oporá a mim? Compareçamos juntos; quem é meu adversário? Venha até mim.
for he that has justified me draws near; who is he that pleads with me? let him stand up against me at the same time: yes, who is he that pleads with me? let him draw near to me.
9 Eis que o Senhor DEUS me ajuda; quem é que [o que] me condenará? Eis que todos eles tal como vestidos se envelhecerão, [e] a traça os comerá.
Behold, the Lord, the Lord, will help me; who will hurt me? behold, all you shall wax old as a garment, and a moth shall devour you.
10 Quem há entre vós que tema ao SENHOR, [e] ouça a voz de seu servo? Aquele que andar em trevas, e não tiver luz nenhuma, confie no nome do SENHOR, e dependa de seu Deus.
Who is among you that fears the Lord? let him listen to the voice of his servant: you that walk in darkness, and have no light, trust in the name of the Lord, and stay upon God.
11 Eis que todos vós que acendeis fogo, e vos envolveis com chamas, andai entre as labaredas de vosso fogo, e entre as chamas que acendestes; isto recebereis de minha mão, e em tormentos jazereis.
Behold, you all kindle a fire, and feed a flame: walk in the light of your fire, and in the flame which you have kindled. This has happened to you for my sake; you shall lie down in sorrow.
