Isaías 43
1 Porém agora assim diz o SENHOR, o teu Criador, ó Jacó, e o teu Formador, ó Israel: Não temas, porque eu te resgatei; chamei a ti por teu nome; tu és meu.
But nowe thus sayeth the Lord, that created thee, O Iaakob: and hee that formed thee, O Israel, Feare not: for I haue redeemed thee: I haue called thee by thy name, thou art mine.
2 Quando passares pelas águas, estarei contigo; e [ao passares] pelos rios, eles não te submergirão; quando passares pelo fogo, não te queimarás, nem a chamas arderão em ti.
When thou passest through the waters, I wil be with thee, and through the floods, that they doe not ouerflowe thee. When thou walkest through the very fire, thou shalt not be burnt, neither shall the flame kindle vpon thee.
3 Porque eu sou o SENHOR teu Deus, o Santo de Israel, teu Salvador; dei ao Egito, a Cuxe, e a Seba como teu resgate, em teu lugar.
For I am the Lord thy God, the holy one of Israel, thy Sauiour: I gaue Egypt for thy ransome, Ethiopia, and Seba for thee.
4 Visto que foste precioso em meus olhos, [assim] foste glorificado, e eu te amei; por isso dei homens em troca de ti, e povos em troca de tua alma.
Because thou wast precious in my sight, and thou wast honourable, and I loued thee, therefore will I giue man for thee, and people for thy sake.
5 Não temas, pois estou contigo; eu trarei tua semente desde o oriente, e te ajuntarei desde o ocidente.
Feare not, for I am with thee: I will bring thy seede from the East, and gather thee from the West.
6 Direi ao norte: Dá!, E ao sul: Não retenhas! Trazei meus filhos de longe, e minhas filhas desde os confins da terra;
I will say to the North, Giue: and to the South, Keepe not backe: bring my sonnes from farre, and my daughters from the ends of the earth.
7 Todos os chamados do meu nome, e os que criei para minha gloria; eu os formei; sim, eu os fiz.
Euery one shall be called by my Name: for I created him for my glorie, formed him and made him.
8 Trazei ao povo cego, que tem olhos; e aos surdos, que tem ouvidos.
I will bring foorth the blinde people, and they shall haue eyes, and the deafe, and they shall haue eares.
9 Todas as nações se reúnam, e os povos se ajuntem. Quem deles isto isto anuncia, e nos faz ouvir as coisas do passado? Mostrem suas testemunhas, para que se justifiquem, e se ouça, e se diga: É verdade.
Let all the nations be gathered together, and let the people be assembled: who among them can declare this and shewe vs former things? let them bring foorth their witnesses, that they may be iustified: but let them heare, and say, It is truth.
10 Vós sois minhas testemunhas (diz o SENHOR); e meu servo, a quem escolhi; para que saibais, e creiais em mim, e entendais que eu sou o próprio, e [que] antes de mim nenhum Deus se formou, e depois de minha nenhum haverá.
You are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my seruant, whom I haue chosen: therefore yee shall knowe and beleeue me and yee shall vnderstand that I am: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
11 Eu, eu sou o SENHOR; e fora de mim não há salvador.
I, euen I am the Lord, and beside me there is no Sauiour.
12 Eu anunciei, eu salvei, e eu fiz ouvir, e deus estrangeiro não houve entre vós, e vós sois minhas testemunhas, (diz o SENHOR), que eu sou Deus.
I haue declared, and I haue saued, and I haue shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore you are my witnesses, sayeth the Lord, that I am God.
13 E desde antes de haver dia, eu o sou; e ninguém há que possa livrar das minhas mãos. Eu estou agindo, quem pode impedir?
Yea, before the day was, I am, and there is none that can deliuer out of mine hand: I will doe it, and who shall let it?
14 Assim diz o SENHOR o teu Redentor, o Santo de Israel: Por causa de vós eu enviei [inimigos] a Babilônia, e a todos eu os fiz descerem [como] fugitivos, inclusive os Caldeus, nos navios em que se orgulhavam.
Thus sayeth the Lord your redeemer, the holy one of Israel, For your sake I haue sent to Babel, and brought it downe: they are all fugitiues, and the Chaldeans crie in the shippes.
15 Eu sou o SENHOR, vosso Santo; o Criador de Israel, o vosso Rei.
I am the Lord your holy one, the creator of Israel, your King.
16 Assim diz o SENHOR, aquele que preparou no mar um caminho, e nas águas impetuosas uma vereda;
Thus sayeth the Lord which maketh a way in the Sea, and a path in the mighty waters.
17 Aquele que trouxe carruagens e cavalos, exército e forças; [todos] juntamente caíram, e não mais se levantaram; estão extintos, foram apagados como um pavio:
When hee bringeth out the charet and horse, the armie and the power lie together, and shall not rise: they are extinct, and quenched as towe.
18 Não vos lembreis das coisas passadas, nem considereis as antigas;
Remember yee not the former things, neither regard the things of olde.
19 Eis que farei uma coisa nova, agora surgirá; por acaso não a reconhecereis? Pois porei um caminho no deserto, [e] rios na terra vazia.
Behold, I do a new thing: now shall it come foorth: shall you not knowe it? I wil euen make a way in the desert, and floods in the wildernesse.
20 Os animais do campo me honrarão; os chacais e os filhotes de avestruz; porque porei águas no deserto, rios na terra vazia, para dar de beber a meu povo, meu escolhido.
The wilde beastes shall honour mee, the dragons and the ostriches, because I gaue water in the desert, and floods in the wildernesse to giue drinke to my people, euen to mine elect.
21 Este povo formei para mim, eles declararão louvor a mim.
This people haue I formed for my selfe: they shall shewe foorth my praise.
22 Porém tu não me invocaste, ó Jacó; pois te cansaste de mim, ó Israel.
And thou hast not called vpon mee, O Iaakob, but thou hast wearied me, O Israel.
23 Não me trouxeste o gado miúdo de teus holocaustos, nem me honraste [com] teus sacrifícios; eu não vos oprimi com ofertas, nem te cansei com incenso.
Thou hast not brought me the sheepe of thy burnt offrings, neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I haue not caused thee to serue with an offring, nor wearied thee with incense.
24 Não me compraste com dinheiro cana aromática, nem me saciaste com a gordura de teus sacrifícios; mas me oprimiste com teus pecados, [e] me cansaste com tuas maldades.
Thou boughtest mee no sweete sauour with money, neither hast thou made mee drunke with the fatte of thy sacrifices, but thou hast made mee to serue with thy sinnes, and wearied mee with thine iniquities.
25 Eu, eu sou o que anulo tuas transgressões por causa de mim; e te teus pecados eu não me lembro.
I, euen I am he that putteth away thine iniquities for mine owne sake, and will not remember thy sinnes.
26 Faze-me lembrar, entremos em juízo juntos; mostra [teus argumentos], para que possas te justificar.
Put me in remembrance: let vs be iudged together: count thou that thou maist be iustified.
27 Teu primeiro pai pecou; e teus intérpretes transgrediram contra mim.
Thy first father hath sinned, and thy teachers haue transgressed against me.
28 Por isso profanei os líderes do santuário, e entreguei Jacó à desgraça, e Israel à humilhação.
Therefore I haue prophaned the rulers of the Sanctuarie, and haue made Iaakob a curse, and Israel a reproche.
