Isaías 32
1 Eis que um rei reinará com justiça, e príncipes governarão conforme o juízo.
Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in justice.
2 E [cada] homem será como um abrigo contra o vento, e refúgio contra a tempestade; como ribeiros de águas em lugares secos, como a sombra de uma grande rocha num lugar deserto.
And every one shall be as a hiding-place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivulets of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a large rock in a languishing land.
3 E os olhos dos que vem não se ofuscarão; e os ouvidos dos que ouvem estarão atentos.
And the eyes of those that see shall not be blinded again, and the ears of those that hear shall hearken.
4 E o coração dos imprudentes entenderá o conhecimento, e a língua dos gagos estará pronta para falar com clareza.
The heart also of the rash shall be attentive in order to know, and the tongue of the stammerers shall be ready to speak plainly.
5 Nunca mais o tolo será chamado de nobre, nem o avarento de generoso;
The worthless person shall be no more called liberal, and the avaricious man shall not be said to be bountiful.
6 Pois o tolo fala tolices, e seu coração opera maldade, para praticar perversidade e falar enganos contra o SENHOR, para deixar vazia a alma do faminto, e fazer com que o sedento não tenha o que beber.
For the worthless person ever speaketh villany, and his heart will work injustice, to practise hypocrisy, and to speak error against the Lord, to leave empty the soul of the hungry, and the drink of the thirsty will he take away.
7 Os instrumentos do avarento são maléficos; ele trama planos malignos para destruir aos aflitos com palavras falsas, mesmo quando o pobre fala com justiça.
The instruments also of the avaricious man are evil: he deviseth wicked resolves to destroy the poor with words of falsehood, even when the needy speaketh what is right.
8 Mas o nobre pensa em coisas nobres, e em coisas nobres ele permanece.
But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and he ever persisteth by liberal things.
9 Levantai-vos, mulheres que estais em repouso, e ouvi a minha voz; ó filhas, que estais tão confiantes, dai ouvidos às minhas palavras:
Ye careless women rise up, hear my voice; ye daughters that are secure, give ear unto my speech.
10 Daqui a um ano e alguns dias, sereis perturbadas, vós, que estais tão confiantes; porque a produção de uvas não terá sucesso, e a colheita não virá.
After days and years shall ye shudder, ye women that are secure; for ended is the vintage, the fruit gathering shall nowise come.
11 Tremei vós que estais em repouso, e sede perturbadas, vós que estais tão confiantes; despi-vos, e ficai nuas, e vesti vossos lombos [com roupa de saco].
Tremble, ye careless women; shudder, ye that are secure, strip off your garments and make yourselves bare, and gird [sackcloth] upon the loins.
12 Lamentai-vos batendo em vossos peitos por causa dos campos agradáveis e das vides frutíferas;
[They shall strike] on the breast, lamenting, for the pleasant fields, for the fruitful vine.
13 Por causa da terra do meu povo, [na qual] espinhos e cardos crescerão; e por causa das casas de alegria [na] cidade alegre.
Upon the soil of my people thorns and briers shall come up; yea, upon all the houses of joy of the gladsome town.
14 Pois o palácio será abandonado, a cidade ruidosa ficará deserta; a colina e as torres de guarda serão esvaziadas para sempre, para alegria dos jumentos selvagens, e [servirão] de pasto para o gado;
Because the palace is abandoned, the tumult of the city is forsaken; the hill and watch-tower are become dens for a long time, a joyous haunt for wild asses, a pasture for flocks.
15 Até que seja derramado sobre nós o Espírito do alto; então o deserto se tornará um lugar fértil, e o lugar fértil será considerado uma floresta.
Until a spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be changed into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be accounted as a forest.
16 E o juízo habitará no deserto, e a justiça morará no campo fértil.
Then shall justice dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness abide in the fruitful field.
17 E a consequência da justiça será paz; e o produto da justiça, repouso e segurança para sempre.
And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and security for ever.
18 E meu povo habitará na morada da paz, em moradias bem seguras, em tranquilos lugares de descanso.
And then shall my people abide in peaceful dwellings, and secure abodes, and in undisturbed resting-places.
19 (Granizo, porém, derrubará a floresta, e a cidade será abatida).
And it shall spread itself out in the declivity of the forest; and far down in the lowlands shall the city descend.
20 Bem-aventurados sois vós, os que semeais sobre todas as águas; [e] deixais livres os pés do boi e do jumento.
Happy are ye that sow beside all waters, freely sending forth the feet of the ox and the ass.
