Isaías 3
1 Porque eis que o Senhor DEUS dos exércitos tirará de Jerusalém e de Judá o apoio e o sustento: todas as fontes de comida e de água,
For behold, the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, will take away from Jerusalem and from Judah stay and staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,
2 O guerreiro, o soldado, o juiz, o profeta, o adivinho, e o ancião;
the mighty man and the man of war, the judge and the prophet, and the diviner and the elder,
3 O chefe de cinquenta, o nobre, o conselheiro, o sábio entre os artífices, e o que tem habilidade de falar palavras.
the captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the clever among artificers, and the one versed in enchantments.
4 E [lhes] darei garotos como seus príncipes, e rapazes dominarão sobre eles.
And I will appoint youths as their princes, and children shall rule over them.
5 E o povo será oprimido; um será contra o outro, e cada um contra seu próximo; o jovem se atreverá contra o ancião, e o reles contra o nobre.
And the people shall be oppressed one by the other, and each by his neighbour; the child will be insolent against the elder, and the base against the honourable.
6 Porque um homem tomará seu irmão da casa de seu pai, [e dirá]: Tu tens capa; sê nosso governante, e estejam estas ruínas debaixo de tua mão.
When a man shall take hold of his brother, in his father's house, [and shall say: ] Thou hast clothing; be our chief, and let this ruin be under thy hand;
7 [Então] em tal dia ele levantará sua mão, dizendo: Não posso solucionar este problema; também em minha casa não há pão nem vestido algum; não me ponhais como governante do povo.
he will lift up [his hand] in that day, saying, I cannot be a healer, and in my house there is neither bread nor clothing; ye shall not make me a chief of the people.
8 Porque Jerusalém tropeçou, e Judá está caído; pois sua língua e suas obras são contra o SENHOR, para irritar os seus gloriosos olhos.
For Jerusalem stumbleth and Judah falleth, because their tongue and their doings are against Jehovah, to provoke the eyes of his glory.
9 A aparência de seus rostos dão testemunho contra eles, e mostram abertamente seus pecados; assim como Sodoma, não os disfarçam. Ai da alma deles, porque estão fazendo mal a si mesmos.
The look of their face doth witness against them, and they declare their sin as Sodom: they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have brought evil upon themselves.
10 Dizei a justo, que o bem [lhe sucederá], que comerão do fruto de suas obras.
Say ye of the righteous that it shall be well [with him], for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.
11 Ai do perverso! O mal [lhe sucederá], porque lhe será feito conforme o trabalho de suas mãos.
Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill [with him], because the desert of his hands shall be rendered unto him.
12 Os dominadores de meu povo são garotos, e mulheres dominam sobre ele; ah, meu povo, os que te guiam te enganam e confundem o caminho de tuas veredas.
[As for] my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. My people! they that guide thee mislead [thee], and destroy the way of thy paths.
13 O SENHOR se apresenta para brigar a causa judicial, e se põe para julgar aos povos.
Jehovah setteth himself to plead, and standeth to judge the peoples.
14 O SENHOR vem a juízo contra os anciãos de seu povo, e [contra] seus líderes: Pois vós consumistes a vinha, o despojo do pobre está em vossas casas.
Jehovah will enter into judgment with the elders of his people and their princes, [saying: ] It is ye that have eaten up the vineyard: the spoil of the poor is in your houses.
15 Por que vós esmagastes ao meu povo, e moestes o rosto dos pobres?, diz o Senhor DEUS dos exércitos.
What mean ye that ye crush my people, and grind the faces of the afflicted? saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.
16 Além disso o SENHOR diz: Dado que as filhas de Sião se exaltam, e andam com o pescoço levantado, e [procuram] seduzir com os olhos, e vão andando a passos curtos, fazendo ruídos com os ornamentos dos pés,
And Jehovah said, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched-out neck and wanton eyes, and go along mincing, and making a tinkling with their feet;
17 Por isso o Senhor fará chagas no topo das cabeças das filhas de Sião, e descobrirá suas partes íntimas.
therefore the Lord will make bald the crown of the head of the daughters of Zion, and Jehovah will lay bare their secret parts.
18 Naquele dia o Senhor tirará [delas] os enfeites: tornozeleiras, testeiras, gargantilhas,
In that day the Lord will take away the ornament of anklets, and the little suns and crescents,
19 Brincos, pulseiras, véus,
the pearl-drops, and the bracelets, and the veils,
20 Chapéus, braceletes, cintos, bolsinhas de perfume, amuletos,
the head-dresses, and the stepping chains, and the girdles, and the scent-boxes, and the amulets;
21 Anéis, pingentes de nariz,
the finger-rings, and the nose-rings;
22 Vestidos de festa, mantas, capas, bolsas,
the festival-robes, and the tunics, and the mantles, and the wallets;
23 Transparências, saias de linho, toucas e túnicas.
the mirrors, and the fine linen bodices, and the turbans, and the flowing veils.
24 E será que, no lugar de aromas haverá fedor; e no lugar de cinto [haverá] corda; e no lugar de cabelos cacheados [haverá] calvície, e no lugar de roupa luxuosa [haverá] roupa de saco; e queimadura no lugar de beleza.
And it shall come to pass, instead of perfume there shall be rottenness; and instead of a girdle, a rope; and instead of well-set hair, baldness; and instead of a robe of display, a girding of sackcloth; brand instead of beauty.
25 Teus homens cairão à espada; teus guerreiros na batalha.
Thy men shall fall by the sword, and thy mighty in the fight;
26 E as portas delas gemerão, e chorarão; e ela, ficando desolada, se sentará no chão.
and her gates shall lament and mourn; and, stripped, she shall sit upon the ground.
