Isaías 14
1 Porque o SENHOR terá piedade de Jacó, e ainda escolherá a Israel, e os porá em sua terra; e estrangeiros se juntarão a eles, e se apegarão à casa de Jacó.
For the Lord wil haue compassion of Iaakob, and wil yet chuse Israel, and cause them to rest in their owne lande: and the stranger shall ioyne him selfe vnto them, and they shall cleaue to the house of Iaakob.
2 E os povos os receberão, e os levarão a seus lugares, e a casa de Israel terá posse deles como servos e servas, na terra do SENHOR; e capturarão aos que tinham lhes capturado, e dominarão sobre seus opressores.
And the people shall receiue them and bring them to their owne place, and the house of Israel shall possesse them in the land of the Lord, for seruants and handmaids: and they shall take them prisoners, whose captiues they were, and haue rule ouer their oppressours.
3 E será que, no dia em que o SENHOR te der descanso de teu trabalho e de teu tormento, e da dura escravidão que te escravizaram,
And in that day when the Lord shall giue thee rest from thy sorrow, and from thy feare, and from the sore bodage, wherein thou didest serue,
4 Então levantarás estas palavras de escárnio contra o rei da Babilônia, e dirás: [Vede] como foi o fim do opressor, como a cidade dourada se acabou!
Then shalt thou take vp this prouerbe against the King of Babel, and say, Howe hath the oppressor ceased? and the gold thirsty Babel rested?
5 O SENHOR quebrou o bastão dos perversos, o cetro dos que dominavam,
The Lord hath broken the rodde of the wicked, and the scepter of the rulers:
6 Que feria aos povos com furor com golpes sem fim, que com ira dominava as nações, perseguindo sem compaixão.
Which smote the people in anger with a continuall plague, and ruled the nations in wrath: if any were persecuted, he did not let.
7 A terra descansa, já está sossegada; gritam de prazer com alegria.
The whole worlde is at rest and is quiet: they sing for ioye.
8 Até os pinheiros se alegram por causa de ti, e os cedros do Líbano, dizendo: Desde que caíste, ninguém mais sobe contra nós para nos cortar.
Also the firre trees reioyced of thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid downe, no hewer came vp against vs.
9 O Xeol desde as profundezas se agitou por causa de ti, para sair ao teu encontro em tua chegada; por causa de ti ele despertou os mortos, todos os líderes da terra, e fez levantar de seus tronos todos os reis das nações. (Sheol h7585)
Hel beneath is mooued for thee to meete thee at thy comming, raising vp the deade for thee, euen all the princes of the earth, and hath raised from their thrones all the Kinges of the nations. (Sheol h7585)
10 Todos eles responderão e te dirão: Tu te enfraqueceste como nós, e te tornaste semelhante a nós.
All they shall crie, and saie vnto thee, Art thou become weake also as we? art thou become like vnto vs?
11 Tua soberba foi derrubada ao Xeol, assim como o som de tuas harpas; larvas se espalharão por debaixo de ti, e vermes te cobrirão. (Sheol h7585)
Thy pompe is brought downe to ye graue, and the sounde of thy violes: the worme is spred vnder thee, and the wormes couer thee. (Sheol h7585)
12 Como caíste do céu, ó “luminoso”, filho do amanhecer! Cortado foste até a terra, tu que enfraquecias as nações!
How art thou fallen from heauen, O Lucifer, sonne of the morning? and cutte downe to the grounde, which didest cast lottes vpon the nations?
13 E dizias em teu coração: Subirei ao céu; levantarei o meu trono acima das estrelas de Deus, e me sentarei no monte da congregação, nas regiões distantes do norte.
Yet thou saidest in thine heart, I will ascende into heauen, and exalt my throne aboue beside the starres of God: I will sitte also vpon the mount of the Congregation in the sides of the North.
14 Subirei sobre as alturas das nuvens, e serei semelhante ao Altíssimo!
I wil ascend aboue ye height of the cloudes, and I will be like the most high.
But thou shalt bee brought downe to the graue, to the sides of the pit. (Sheol h7585)
16 Os que te olharem prestarão atenção em ti, pensarão, [e dirão]: É este o homem que abalava a terra, e fazia os reinos tremerem?
They that see thee, shall looke vpon thee and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, and that did shake the kingdomes?
17 Que fazia do mundo como um deserto, e arruinava suas cidades? Que nunca soltava seus prisioneiros para [suas] casas?
He made the worlde as a wildernesse, and destroied the cities thereof, and opened not the house of his prisoners.
18 Todos os reis das nações, eles todos, jazem com honra, cada um em sua própria casa.
All the Kings of the nations, euen they all sleepe in glorie, euery one in his owne house.
19 Porém tu és lançado de tua sepultura, como um ramo repugnante, [como] as roupas dos que foram mortos, traspassados à espada; [como] os que descem às pedras da cova, como um corpo pisoteado.
But thou art cast out of thy graue like an abominable branch: like the raiment of those that are slaine, and thrust thorowe with a sword, which goe downe to the stones of the pit, as a carkeise troden vnder feete.
20 Não se juntará a eles na sepultura, porque destruíste tua terra, [e] mataste a teu povo; a semente dos malignos não será nomeada para sempre.
Thou shalt not be ioyned with them in the graue, because thou hast destroied thine owne lande, and slaine thy people: the seede of the wicked shall not be renoumed for euer.
21 Preparai a matança para seus filhos por causa da maldade de seus pais; para que não se levantem, e tomem posse da terra, e encham a face do mundo de cidades.
Prepare a slaughter for his children, for the iniquitie of their fathers: let them not rise vp nor possesse the land, nor fil the face of the world with enemies.
22 Porque me levantarei contra eles, diz o SENHOR dos exércitos; e cortarei para eliminar da Babilônia o nome e os restantes, o filho e o neto, diz o SENHOR.
For I wil rise vp against them (sayth the Lord of hostes) and will cut off from Babel the name and the remnant and the sonne, and the nephew, sayth the Lord:
23 E eu a porei como propriedade de corujas, e poças d´água; e a varrerei com a vassoura da destruição, diz o SENHOR dos exércitos.
And I wil make it a possession to ye hedgehogge, and pooles of water, and I will sweepe it with the besome of destruction, sayeth the Lord of hostes.
24 O SENHOR dos exércitos jurou, dizendo: Com certeza acontecerá assim como pensei, e será comprido assim como determinei.
The Lord of hostes hath sworne, saying, Surely like as I haue purposed, so shall it come to passe, and as I haue consulted, it shall stand:
25 Quebrarei a Assíria em minha terra, e em minhas montanhas eu a esmagarei; para que seu jugo se afaste deles, e sua carga seja tirada de seus ombros.
That I will breake to pieces Asshur in my land, and vpon my mountaines will I treade him vnder foote: so that his yoke shall depart from them, and his burden shall be taken from off their shoulder.
26 Este é o plano determinado para toda a terra; e esta é a mão que está estendida sobre todas as nações.
This is the counsell that is consulted vpon the whole worlde, and this is the hande stretched out ouer all the nations,
27 Pois o SENHOR dos exércitos já determinou; quem invalidará? E sua mão já está estendida; quem [a] retrocederá?
Because the Lord of hostes hath determined it, and who shall disanull it? and his hande is stretched out, and who shall turne it away?
28 No ano em que o rei Acaz morreu, houve esta revelação:
In the yeere that King Ahaz died, was this burden.
29 Não te alegres, ó tu, Filisteia inteira, por ter sido quebrada a vara que te feria; porque da raiz da cobra sairá uma víbora, e seu fruto será uma venenosa serpente voadora.
Reioyce not, (thou whole Palestina) because the rod of him that did beat thee, is broken for out of the serpents roote shall come forth a cockatrise, and the fruit therof shalbe a firy flying serpent.
30 E os mais pobres serão apascentados, e os necessitados deitarão em segurança; porém farei tua raiz morrer de fome, e ela matará teus sobreviventes.
For the first borne of the poore shall be fed, and the needie shall lie downe in safetie: and I will kill thy roote with famine, and it shall slay thy remnant.
31 Uiva, ó porta! Grita, ó cidade! Tu, Filisteia inteira, estás a ser derretida; porque do norte vem fumaça, e não há solitário em seus batalhões.
Howle, O gate, crie, O citie: thou whole lande of Palestina art dissolued, for there shall come from the North a smoke, and none shalbe alone, at his time appointed.
32 Que, pois, se responderá aos mensageiros d [aquela] nação? Que o SENHOR fundou a Sião, e que nela os oprimidos de seu povo terão refúgio.
What shall then one answere the messengers of the Gentiles? That the Lord hath stablished Zion, and the poore of his people shall trust in it.
