Oséias 9

1 Não te alegres tanto, ó Israel, como os [outros] povos, pois tu te prostituis, afastando-te de teu Deus; tu amas o salário de prostituta em todas as eiras de trigo.

Rejoice not, O Israel, unto exultation, like the peoples, for thou hast gone astray from thy God, thou hast loved a harlot's hire upon every corn-floor.

2 A eira e a prensa de uvas não os manterão; e o vinho novo lhes faltará.

The threshing-floor and the wine-press shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail her.

3 Não permanecerão na terra do SENHOR; em vez disso, Efraim voltará ao Egito, e na Assíria comerão coisa imunda.

They shall not dwell in the LORD'S land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean food in Assyria.

4 Não derramarão ofertas de bebida ao SENHOR, nem seus sacrifícios lhe serão agradáveis; [seu pão] será para eles como pão de lamento; todos os que comerem dele, serão imundos; porque o pão deles será para saciar sua própria fome, e não virá para a casa do SENHOR.

They shall not pour out wine-offerings to the LORD, neither shall they be pleasing unto Him; their sacrifices shall be unto them as the bread of mourners, all that eat thereof shall be polluted; for their bread shall be for their appetite, it shall not come into the house of the LORD.

5 Que fareis no dia solene, no dia festa do SENHOR?

What will ye do in the day of the appointed season, and in the day of the feast of the LORD?

6 Porque eis que eles vão embora por causa da destruição; o Egito os recolherá, Mênfis os sepultará; urtigas herdarão sua prata, espinhos [crescerão] em suas tendas.

For, lo, they are gone away from destruction, yet Egypt shall gather them up, Memphis shall bury them; their precious treasures of silver, nettles shall possess them, thorns shall be in their tents.

7 Chegaram os dias da punição, chegaram os dias da retribuição; os israelitas saberão; o profeta é [considerado] louco, o homem espiritual [é visto como] tolo, por causa da grandeza de tua maldade e do grande ódio.

The days of visitation are come, the days of recompense are come, Israel shall know it. The prophet is a fool, the man of the spirit is mad! For the multitude of thine iniquity, the enmity is great.

8 O profeta é um guarda de Efraim para meu Deus; [mas para ele há] laços de caçador em todos os seus caminhos, e ódio na casa de seu Deus.

Ephraim is a watchman with my God; as for the prophet, a fowler's snare is in all his ways, and enmity in the house of his God.

9 Corromperam-se profundamente, como nos dias de Gibeá: [Deus] se lembrará de suas perversidades, seus pecados punirá.

They have deeply corrupted themselves, as in the days of Gibeah; He will remember their iniquity, He will punish their sins.

10 Eu achei a Israel como uvas no deserto; eu vi a vossos pais como a primeira fruta da figueira em seu princípio. [Porém] eles foram a Baal-Peor, dedicaram-se a esta vergonha, e se tornaram tão abomináveis quanto aquilo que amaram.

I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness, I saw your fathers as the first-ripe in the fig-tree at her first season; but so soon as they came to Baal-peor, they separated themselves unto the shameful thing, and became detestable like that which they loved.

11 A glória de Efraim voará como ave; não haverá nascimento, nem gravidez, nem concepção.

As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird; there shall be no birth, and none with child, and no conception.

12 Ainda que venham a criar seus filhos, contudo eu os privarei deles, de modo que reste nenhum. Ai deles quando deles eu me afastar!

Yea, though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them, that there be not a man left; yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!

13 Vi que Efraim era como Tiro, plantada num lugar agradável; mas Efraim trará seus filhos ao matador.

Ephraim, like as I have seen Tyre, is planted in a pleasant place; but Ephraim shall bring forth his children to the slayer.

14 Dá-lhes, SENHOR, o que lhes darás? Dá-lhes ventre que aborte, e seios sem leite.

Give them, O LORD, whatsoever Thou wilt give; give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.

15 Por causa de toda a sua malícia em Gilgal, ali eu os odiei; por causa da malícia de suas obras eu os expulsarei de minha casa; eu não mais os amarei; todos os seus príncipes são rebeldes.

All their wickedness is in Gilgal, for there I hated them; because of the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of My house; I will love them no more, all their princes are rebellious.

16 Efraim foi ferido, sua raiz se secou, não darão fruto; e que ainda que gerem, eu matarei os desejáveis [frutos] de seu ventre.

Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit; yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay the beloved fruit of their womb.

17 Meu Deus os rejeitará porque não o ouviram; e andarão sem rumo entre as nações.

My God will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto Him; and they shall be wanderers among the nations.
