Oséias 8
1 [Põe] a trombeta em tua boca. [O inimigo vem] como uma águia contra a casa do SENHOR, porque violaram meu pacto, e transgrediram minha lei.
Set the trumpet to thy mouth. He shall come as an eagle against the house of the LORD, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law.
2 [Então] clamarão a mim: Deus meu, nós, Israel, te conhecemos.
Israel shall cry to me, My God, we know thee.
3 Israel rejeitou o bem; o inimigo o perseguirá.
Israel hath cast off the thing that is good: the enemy shall pursue him.
4 Eles fizeram reis, mas não de mim; constituíram príncipes, porém sem que eu soubesse; de sua prata e de seu ouro fizeram ídolos para si, para que sejam exterminados.
They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made for themselves idols, that they may be cut off.
5 O teu bezerro foi rejeitado, ó Samaria; minha ira está acesa contra eles; até quando não suportarão a pureza?
Thy calf, O Samaria, hath cast thee off; my anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency?
6 Porque isso procede de Israel, um artífice o fez; isso não é Deus; por isso o bezerro de Samaria será desfeito em pedaços.
For from Israel was it also: the workman made it; therefore it is not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.
7 Porque semearam vento, colherão tempestade; não haverá colheita, nem a produção dará farinha; mesmo se a der, estrangeiros a tragarão.
For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if it shall yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.
8 Israel é tragado; agora são como um vaso que ninguém dá valor entre as nações.
Israel is swallowed up: now shall they be among the Gentiles as a vessel in which is no pleasure.
9 Porque eles subiram à Assíria, [como] um jumento selvagem solitário; Efraim se vendeu aos amantes.
For they have gone up to Assyria, a wild donkey alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers.
10 Ainda que tenham se vendido às nações, agora eu as ajuntarei; e começarão a ser reduzidos pela opressão do rei de príncipes.
Yea, though they have hired among the nations, now will I gather them, and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king of princes.
11 Porque Efraim multiplicou os altares para pecar, os altares feitos para cometer pecado.
Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin, altars shall be to him to sin.
12 Eu lhe escrevi as grandezas de minha lei, mas foram consideradas coisa estranha.
I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing.
13 Quanto aos sacrifícios de ofertas a mim, eles sacrificam a carne, e a comem; porém o SENHOR não os aceita. Agora ele se lembrará de sua perversidade, e punirá seus pecados; eles voltarão ao Egito.
They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of my offerings, and eat it; but the LORD accepteth them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and judge their sins: they shall return to Egypt.
14 Porque Israel se esqueceu de seu Criador, e edificou templos; Judá multiplicou cidades fortificadas; porém mandarei fogo em suas cidades, que consumirá seus palácios.
For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and buildeth temples; and Judah hath multiplied fortified cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour his palaces.
