Oséias 13
1 Quando Efraim falava, havia tremor; ele era exaltado em Israel; mas se tornou culpado por causa de Baal, e morreu.
When Ephraim speaketh tremblingly, He hath been lifted up in Israel, When he becometh guilty in Baal he dieth.
2 Agora pecam cada vez mais, e de sua prata fizeram para si uma imagem de fundição, ídolos segundo seu entendimento, todos eles obra de artesãos; acerca dos quais dizem: As pessoas que sacrificam beijam bezerros!
And now do they add to sin, And make to them a molten image of their silver, By their own understanding — idols, A work of artisans — all of it, Of them they say, who [are] sacrificers among men, 'The calves let them kiss.'
3 Por isso serão como a névoa da manhã, como o orvalho da madrugada que passa; como a palha que o vento leva da eira, e como a fumaça que sai da chaminé.
Therefore they are as a cloud of the morning, And as dew, rising early, going away, As chaff tossed about out of a floor, And as smoke out of a window.
4 Porém eu sou o SENHOR teu Deus, desde a terra do Egito; portanto não conhecerás a Deus algum a não ser a mim, porque não há Salvador além de mim.
And I [am] Jehovah thy God from the land of Egypt, And a God besides Me thou dost not know, And a Saviour — there is none save Me.
5 Eu te conheci no deserto, na terra seca.
I — I have known thee in a wilderness, In a land of droughts.
6 Depois se fartaram em seus pastos; quando ficaram fartos, seus corações se exaltaram; por isso se esqueceram de mim.
According to their feedings they are satiated, They have been satiated, And their heart is lifted up, Therefore they have forgotten Me,
7 Por isso eu serei para eles como leão; como leopardo os espiarei no caminho.
And I am to them as a lion, As a leopard by the way I look out.
8 Como ursa de quem tomaram os filhotes os encontrarei, e rasgareis os peitorais de seu coração; e ali os devorarei como leão; os animais do campo os despedaçarão.
I do meet them as a bereaved bear, And I rend the enclosure of their heart.
9 Estás perdido, ó Israel, porque é em mim que está tua ajuda.
And I consume them there as a lioness, A beast of the field doth rend them.
10 Onde está agora o teu rei, para que te proteja em todas as tuas cidades? E teus juízes, dos quais disseste: Dá-me um rei e príncipes?
Thou hast destroyed thyself, O Israel, But in Me [is] thy help, Where [is] thy king now — And he doth save thee in all thy cities? And thy judges of whom thou didst say, 'Give to me a king and heads?'
11 Eu te dei um rei em minha ira, e [o] tirei em meu furor.
I give to thee a king in Mine anger, And I take away in My wrath.
12 A maldade de Efraim está registrada; seu pecado está guardado.
Bound up [is] the iniquity of Ephraim, Hidden [is] his sin,
13 Dores de parto lhe virão; ele é um filho insensato, pois não deveria permanecer dentro na hora do parto.
Pangs of a travailing woman come to him, He [is] a son not wise, For he remaineth not the time for the breaking forth of sons.
14 Eu os resgatarei do poder do Xeol e os livrarei da morte. Onde estão, Ó morte, tuas pestilências? Onde está, ó Xeol, tua perdição? A compaixão será escondida de meus olhos. (Sheol h7585)
From the hand of Sheol I do ransom them, From death I redeem them, Where [is] thy plague, O death? Where thy destruction, O Sheol? Repentance is hid from Mine eyes. (Sheol h7585)
15 Ainda que ele frutifique entre os irmãos, virá o vento oriental, vento do SENHOR, subindo do deserto, e sua fonte se secará, sua nascente se secará; ele saqueará o tesouro de tudo o que for precioso.
Though he among brethren produceth fruit, Come in doth an east wind, a wind of Jehovah, From a wilderness it is coming up, And it drieth up his fountain, And become dry doth his spring, It — it spoileth a treasure — every desirable vessel.
16 Samaria levará sua culpa, porque se rebelou contra o seu Deus. Cairão a espada; suas crianças serão despedaçadas, e suas grávidas terão seus ventres abertos.
Become desolate doth Samaria, Because she hath rebelled against her God, By sword they do fall, Their sucklings are dashed in pieces, And its pregnant ones are ripped up!
