Hebreus 7
1 Porque este Melquisedeque, rei de Salém, sacerdote do Deus Altíssimo, o qual se encontrou com Abraão, que estava retornando da matança dos reis, e o abençoou;
For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him,
2 a quem também Abraão deu o dízimo de tudo; primeiramente significa Rei de justiça, e depois também rei de Salém, que é, rei de paz;
to whom also Abraham gave a tenth of all, being, first, by interpretation, King of righteousness, and then, also, King of Salem, which means King of peace,
3 sem pai, sem mãe, sem genealogia, sem ter princípio de dias, nem fim de vida; porém, sendo feito semelhante ao Filho de Deus, permanece sacerdote para sempre.
without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life, but being made to resemble the Son of God, remains a priest forever.
4 Considerai, pois, como ele era grande, a quem até o patriarca Abraão deu o dízimo dos despojos.
Now consider how great this man was, to whom even the patriarch Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils.
5 E, realmente, os que dentre os filhos de Levi recebem o sacerdócio têm ordem, segundo a Lei, de receberem os dízimos do povo, isto é, dos seus irmãos, mesmo sendo eles também descendentes de Abraão.
And those of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:
6 Mas aquele que não é contado na genealogia deles recebeu dízimos de Abraão, e abençoou ao que tinha as promessas.
but he who does not count his genealogy from them, received tithes from Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.
7 Ora, sem contradição alguma, o menor é abençoado pelo maior.
And, without any contradiction, the less is blessed by the better.
8 Em um caso, homens mortais recebem dízimos; mas no outro, aquele de quem se dá testemunho de que vive.
And in the one instance, men that die receive tithes; but in the other, he receives them who has the testimony that he lives.
9 E, por assim dizer, até Levi, que recebe os dízimos, pagou dízimos através de Abraão;
And so to speak, even Levi, who receives tithes, paid tithes through Abraham;
10 pois ele ainda estava no corpo de [seu] ancestral quando Melquisedeque se encontrou com ele.
for he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.
11 Portanto, se a perfeição tivesse sido de fato pelo sacerdócio Levítico (pois com base nele o povo recebeu a Lei), que mais necessidade havia de se levantar outro Sacerdote segundo a ordem de Melquisedeque, e não ser chamado segundo a ordem de Arão?
If, then, there had been a perfect expiation by means of the Levitical priesthood, (for with reference to it, the people received the law, ) what further need was there that another priest should be raised up after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
12 Pois, ao se mudar o sacerdócio, necessariamente também se faz mudança de Lei.
It is evident that, when the priest hood is changed, there is of necessity a change also of the law.
13 Porque aquele de quem estas coisas são ditas pertence a outra tribo, da qual ninguém serviu ao altar;
For he of whom these things are said, belongs to another tribe, from which no one attended upon the altar.
14 visto ser evidente que o nosso Senhor é procedente de Judá, tribo da qual Moisés nada falou a respeito de sacerdotes.
For it is very clear that our Lord sprung from Judah, of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.
15 E [isso] ainda é muito mais evidente se, à semelhança de Melquisedeque, levanta-se outro sacerdote,
And it is yet far more evident, if, after the likeness of Melchisedec, there arises another priest,
16 que foi constituído, não conforme a Lei de um mandamento carnal, mas sim, conforme o poder de uma vida indestrutível.
who is made, not according to the law of a fleshly commandment, but according to the power of an endless life; for he testifies,
17 Pois [assim] dá-se testemunho: Tu és Sacerdote para sempre, segundo a ordem de Melquisedeque. (aiōn g165)
Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchisedec. (aiōn g165)
18 Porque há uma revogação do mandamento anterior, por causa da sua fraqueza e inutilidade,
For, indeed, there is a setting aside of the preceding commandment, because it was weak and unprofitable,
19 pois a Lei não tornou perfeito nada. Porém, uma esperança melhor é introduzida, e por meio dela nos aproximamos de Deus.
(for the law made no perfect expiation), and the introduction of a better hope, by which we draw near to God.
20 E isso não foi [feito] sem juramento (pois os outros se tornaram sacerdotes sem juramento,
And inasmuch as he was made a priest, not without an oath,
21 mas ele [foi estabelecido] com um juramento daquele que lhe disse: O Senhor jurou, e não se arrependerá: Tu és Sacerdote para sempre ). (aiōn g165)
(for those priests were made such without an oath, but this one with an oath, by him that said to him, The Lord swore, and will not repent, Thou art a priest forever after the order of Melchisedec; ) (aiōn g165)
22 Assim, Jesus foi feito fiador de um pacto ainda melhor.
in so much has Jesus become the surety of a better covenant.
23 Dos outros, são muitos os que se tornaram sacerdotes, pois pela morte foram impedidos de continuar;
And those priests, indeed, have been many, because they were prevented by death from continuing in office.
But this man, because he continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood. (aiōn g165)
25 Portanto, ele também pode salvar de maneira completa os que se aproximam de Deus por meio dele, visto que ele vive para sempre para interceder por eles.
Wherefore, he is able also to save through all time those who come to God by him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.
26 Pois nos era conveniente tal Sumo Sacerdote: santo, inocente, incontaminado, separado dos pecadores, e feito mais elevado que os céus;
For such a high priest is suited to us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and exalted above the heavens;
27 que não precisasse, como os sumos sacerdotes, de oferecer sacrifícios diariamente, primeiramente pelos seus próprios pecados, e depois pelos do povo. Pois ele fez isto de uma vez por todas quando ofereceu a si mesmo.
who needs not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people: for this he did once, when he offered up himself.
28 Porque a Lei constitui por sumos sacerdotes homens que têm fraqueza; mas a palavra do juramento, que [veio] depois da Lei, [constitui] o Filho, que se tornou perfeito para sempre. (aiōn g165)
For the law makes men high priests, who have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was after the law, makes the Son, who is perfected forever. (aiōn g165)
