Hebreus 5
1 Pois todo sumo sacerdote tomado dentre os homens é constituído em prol das pessoas nas coisas [relativas] a Deus, para apresentar tanto ofertas como sacrifícios pelos pecados;
Now every high priest taken from among men is appointed to act on behalf of men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins,
2 e ele é capaz de se compadecer dos ignorantes e dos errados, pois ele mesmo também está rodeado de fraqueza.
being able to deal gently with those who sin in ignorance and go astray, since he himself is also subject to weakness.
3 E, por causa desta [fraqueza], ele tem o dever de apresentar oferenda, tanto pelos pecados do povo, como também de si mesmo.
Because of this he must offer sacrifices for his own sins as well, just as he does for the people's.
4 E ninguém toma para si esta honra, a não ser aquele que é chamado por Deus, como Arão.
Also, no one receives this honor on his own, but upon being called by God, just like Aaron.
5 Assim também Cristo não glorificou a si mesmo para se fazer Sumo Sacerdote; mas sim, àquele que lhe disse: Tu és meu Filho, eu hoje te gerei.
So also Christ did not exalt Himself to become High Priest, but it was He[F] who said to Him[S], “You are my Son; today I have begotten You.”
6 Como também diz em outro [texto]: Tu és Sacerdote para sempre, segundo a ordem de Melquisedeque. (aiōn g165)
Just as He[F] also says in another place, “You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.” (aiōn g165)
7 Ele, nos dias de seu corpo carnal, ofereceu com grande clamor e lágrimas, tanto orações como súplicas para aquele que podia o livrar da morte, e foi ouvido por causa da devoção.
He[S], in the days of His flesh, having offered up both prayers and supplications, with a loud cry and tears, to the One who was able to save Him from death, and having been answered because of His godly fear,
8 Ainda que ele era o Filho, aprendeu a obediência por meio das coisas que sofreu.
although being SON, He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.
9 E, depois de ter sido consumado, ele foi feito autor da eterna salvação a todos os que lhe obedecem; (aiōnios g166)
And having been completed He became the Source of eternal salvation for all those obeying Him, (aiōnios g166)
10 e nomeado por Deus como Sumo Sacerdote, segundo a ordem de Melquisedeque.
having been designated by God as High Priest ‘according to the order of Melchizedek’;
11 Nosso comentário a respeito disso é extenso e difícil de explicar, porque vos tornastes negligentes para ouvir.
concerning whom we have much to say, but it is hard to explain, since you have become sluggish in hearing.
12 Pois, pelo tempo, vós já devíeis ser mestres; porém novamente tendes necessidade de serdes ensinados os princípios básicos das palavras de Deus; e vos fizestes como se precisásseis de leite, e não de alimento sólido.
Really, because although by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary principles of God's oracles all over again; you have come to the point of needing milk, not solid food!
13 Pois qualquer um que depende de leite é inexperiente na palavra da justiça; porque [ainda] é um bebê.
Surely; whoever lives on milk is an infant, and therefore unskilled in the Word of righteousness.
14 Mas o alimento sólido é para os maduros, os quais, pelo costume, têm os sentidos treinados para discernirem tanto o bem como o mal.
On the other hand, solid food is for the mature, those who by habitual use have trained their senses to distinguish good from bad.
