Gênesis 49
1 E chamou Jacó a seus filhos, e disse: Juntai-vos, e vos declararei o que vos há de acontecer nos últimos dias.
And Jacob called his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, and I will tell you what will befall you at the end of days.
2 Juntai-vos e ouvi, filhos de Jacó; E escutai a vosso pai Israel.
Assemble yourselves, and hear, ye sons of Jacob, And listen to Israel your father.
3 Rúben, tu és meu primogênito, minha força, e o princípio do meu vigor; Principal em dignidade, principal em poder.
Reuben, thou art my firstborn, My might, and the firstfruits of my vigour: Excellency of dignity, and excellency of strength.
4 Corrente como as águas, não sejas o principal; Porquanto subiste ao leito de teu pai: Então te contaminaste, subindo a meu estrado.
Impetuous as the waters, thou shalt have no pre-eminence; Because thou wentest up to thy father's couch: Then defiledst thou [it]: he went up to my bed.
5 Simeão e Levi, irmãos: Armas de violência são suas armas.
Simeon and Levi are brethren: Instruments of violence their swords.
6 Em seu secreto não entre minha alma, nem minha honra se junte em sua companhia; Que em seu furor mataram homem, E em sua vontade aleijaram bois.
My soul, come not into their council; Mine honour, be not united with their assembly; For in their anger they slew men, And in their wantonness houghed oxen.
7 Maldito seu furor, que foi bravio; E sua ira, que foi dura: Eu os dividirei em Jacó, E os espalharei em Israel.
Cursed be their anger, for it [was] violent; And their rage, for it [was] cruel! I will divide them in Jacob, And scatter them in Israel.
8 Judá, teus irmãos te louvarão: Tua mão esterá sobre o pescoço de teus inimigos: Os filhos de teu pai se inclinarão a ti.
Judah — [as to] thee, thy brethren will praise thee; Thy hand will be upon the neck of thine enemies; Thy father's children will bow down to thee.
9 Jovem leão é Judá: Da presa subiste, filho meu: Encurvou-se, lançou-se como leão, Assim como leão velho; quem o despertará?
Judah is a young lion; From the prey, my son, thou art gone up. He stoopeth, he layeth himself down as a lion, And as a lioness: who will rouse him up?
10 Não será tirado o cetro de Judá, E o legislador dentre seus pés, Até que venha Siló; E a ele se congregarão os povos.
The sceptre will not depart from Judah, Nor the lawgiver from between his feet, Until Shiloh come, And to him will be the obedience of peoples.
11 Atando à vide seu jumentinho, E à videira o filho de sua jumenta, Lavou no veio sua roupa, E no sangue de uvas seu manto:
He bindeth his foal to the vine, And his ass's colt to the choice vine; He washeth his dress in wine, And his garment in the blood of grapes.
12 Seus olhos mais vermelhos que o vinho, E os dentes mais brancos que o leite.
The eyes are red with wine, And the teeth [are] white with milk.
13 Zebulom em portos de mar habitará, E será para porto de navios; E seu termo até Sidom.
Zebulun will dwell at the shore of the seas; Yea, he will be at the shore of the ships, And his side [toucheth] upon Sidon.
14 Issacar, asno de forte estrutura deitado entre dois apriscos:
Issachar is a bony ass, Crouching down between two hurdles.
15 E viu que o descanso era bom, E que a terra era deleitosa; E baixou seu ombro para levar, E serviu em tributo.
And he saw the rest that it was good, And the land that it was pleasant; And he bowed his shoulder to bear, And was a tributary servant.
16 Dã julgará a seu povo, Como uma das tribos de Israel.
Dan will judge his people, As another of the tribes of Israel.
17 Será Dã serpente junto ao caminho, víbora junto à vereda, que morde os calcanhares dos cavalos, e faz cair por detrás ao cavaleiro deles.
Dan will be a serpent on the way, A horned snake on the path, Which biteth the horse's heels, So that the rider falleth backwards.
18 Tua salvação espero, ó SENHOR.
I wait for thy salvation, O Jehovah.
19 Gade, exército o atacará; mas ele contra-atacará ao fim.
Gad — troops will rush upon him; But he will rush upon the heel.
20 O pão de Aser será espesso, E ele dará deleites ao rei.
Out of Asher, his bread shall be fat, And he will give royal dainties.
21 Naftali, serva solta, que diz belas coisas.
Naphtali is a hind let loose; He giveth goodly words.
22 Ramo frutífero é José, ramo frutífero é junto à fonte, cujos ramos se estendem sobre o muro;
Joseph is a fruitful bough; A fruitful bough by a well; [His] branches shoot over the wall.
23 E causaram-lhe amargura, e flecharam-lhe, e os arqueiros o odiaram;
The archers have provoked him, And shot at, and hated him;
24 Mas seu arco manteve-se forte, E os braços de suas mãos se fortaleceram pelas mãos do Forte de Jacó, (Dali é o Pastor, e a Pedra de Israel, )
But his bow abideth firm, And the arms of his hands are supple By the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob. From thence is the shepherd, the stone of Israel:
25 Do Deus de teu pai, o qual te ajudará, E do Todo-Poderoso, o qual te abençoará com bênçãos dos céus de acima, com bênçãos do abismo que está abaixo, Com bênçãos do seio e da madre.
From the God of thy father, and he will help thee; And from the Almighty, and he will bless thee — With blessings of heaven from above, With blessings of the deep that lieth under, With blessings of the breast and of the womb.
26 As bênçãos de teu pai Foram maiores que as bênçãos de meus progenitores: Até o termo das colinas eternas serão sobre a cabeça de José, E sobre o topo da cabeça do que foi separado de seus irmãos.
The blessings of thy father surpass the blessings of my ancestors, Unto the bounds of the everlasting hills: They shall be on the head of Joseph, And on the crown of the head of him that was separated from his brethren.
27 Benjamim, lobo arrebatador; de manhã comerá a presa, e à tarde repartirá os despojos.
Benjamin — [as] a wolf will he tear to pieces; In the morning he will devour the prey, And in the evening he will divide the booty.
28 Todos estes foram as doze tribos de Israel: e isto foi o que seu pai lhes disse, e os abençoou; a cada um por sua bênção os abençoou.
All these are the twelve tribes of Israel, and this is what their father spoke to them; and he blessed them: every one according to his blessing he blessed them.
29 Mandou-lhes logo, e disse-lhes: Eu vou a ser reunido com meu povo: sepultai-me com meus pais na caverna que está no campo de Efrom os heteus;
And he charged them, and said to them, I am gathered to my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,
30 Na caverna que está no campo de Macpela, que está diante de Manre na terra de Canaã, a qual comprou Abraão com o mesmo campo de Efrom os heteus, para herança de sepultura.
in the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is opposite to Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought of Ephron the Hittite along with the field for a possession of a sepulchre.
31 Ali sepultaram a Abraão e a Sara sua mulher; ali sepultaram a Isaque e a Rebeca sua mulher; ali também sepultei Lia.
There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebecca his wife; and there I buried Leah.
32 O campo e a cova que nele está foram comprados dos filhos de Hete.
The purchase of the field, and of the cave that is in it, was from the children of Heth.
33 E quando acabou Jacó de dar ordens a seus filhos, encolheu seus pés na cama, e expirou; e foi reunido com seus pais.
And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered his feet into the bed, and expired, and was gathered to his peoples.
