Gênesis 47
1 E José veio, e fez saber a Faraó, e disse: Meu pai e meus irmãos, e suas ovelhas e suas vacas, com tudo o que têm, vieram da terra de Canaã, e eis que, estão na terra de Gósen.
Then came Ioseph and tolde Pharaoh, and sayde, My father, and my brethren, and their sheepe, and their cattell, and all that they haue, are come out of the land of Canaan, and behold, they are in the land of Goshen.
2 E dentre seus irmãos tomou cinco homens, e os apresentou diante de Faraó.
And Ioseph tooke part of his brethren, euen fiue men, and presented them vnto Pharaoh.
3 E Faraó disse a seus irmãos: Qual é vosso ofício? E eles responderam a Faraó: Pastores de ovelhas são teus servos, tanto nós como nossos pais.
Then Pharaoh said vnto his brethren, What is your trade? And they answered Pharaoh, Thy seruants are shepheards, both we and our fathers.
4 Disseram ademais a Faraó: Por morar nesta terra viemos; porque não há pasto para as ovelhas de teus servos, pois a fome é grave na terra de Canaã: portanto, te rogamos agora que habitem teus servos na terra de Gósen.
They sayde moreouer vnto Pharaoh, For to soiourne in ye lande are we come: for thy seruants haue no pasture for their sheepe, so sore is ye famine in the lande of Canaan. Nowe therefore, we pray thee, let thy seruants dwel in the land of Goshen.
5 Então Faraó falou a José, dizendo: Teu pai e teus irmãos vieram a ti;
Then spake Pharaoh to Ioseph, saying, Thy father and thy brethren are come vnto thee.
6 A terra do Egito diante de ti está; no melhor da terra faze habitar a teu pai e a teus irmãos; habitem na terra de Gósen; e se entendes que há entre eles homens competentes, põe-os por administradores do meu gado.
The lande of Egypt is before thee: in the best place of the land make thy father and thy brethren dwel: let the dwel in the land of Goshen: and if thou knowest that there be men of actiuitie among them, make them rulers ouer my cattell.
7 E José introduziu a seu pai, e apresentou-o diante de Faraó; e Jacó abençoou a Faraó.
Ioseph also brought Iaakob his father, and set him before Pharaoh. And Iaakob saluted Pharaoh.
8 E disse Faraó a Jacó: Quantos são os dias dos anos de tua vida?
Then Pharaoh sayde vnto Iaakob, Howe olde art thou?
9 E Jacó respondeu a Faraó: Os dias dos anos de minha peregrinação são cento e trinta anos; poucos e maus foram os dias dos anos de minha vida, e não chegaram aos dias dos anos da vida de meus pais nos dias de sua peregrinação.
And Iaakob sayd vnto Pharaoh, The whole time of my pilgrimage is an hundreth and thirty yeeres: fewe and euill haue the dayes of my life bene, and I haue not attayned vnto the yeeres of the life of my fathers, in the dayes of their pilgrimages.
10 E Jacó abençoou a Faraó, e saiu-se de diante de Faraó.
And Iaakob tooke leaue of Pharaoh, and departed from the presence of Pharaoh.
11 Assim José fez habitar a seu pai e a seus irmãos, e deu-lhes possessão na terra do Egito, no melhor da terra, na terra de Ramessés como mandou Faraó.
And Ioseph placed his father, and his brethren, and gaue them possession in the lande of Egypt, in the best of the land, euen in the lande of Rameses, as Pharaoh had commanded.
12 E alimentava José a seu pai e a seus irmãos, e a toda a casa de seu pai, de pão, segundo o número de seus filhos.
And Ioseph nourished his father, and his brethren, and all his fathers houshold with bread, euen to the yong children.
13 E não havia pão toda a terra, e a fome era muito grave; pelo que desfaleceu de fome a terra do Egito e a terra de Canaã.
Now there was no bread in all the land: for the famine was exceeding sore: so that the land of Egypt, and the land of Canaan were famished by reason of the famine.
14 E recolheu José todo o dinheiro que se achou na terra do Egito e na terra de Canaã, pelos alimentos que dele compravam; e meteu José o dinheiro na casa de Faraó.
And Ioseph gathered all the money, that was found in the land of Egypt, and in the land of Canaan, for the corne which they bought, and Ioseph layd vp the money in Pharaohs house.
15 E acabado o dinheiro da terra do Egito e da terra de Canaã, veio todo Egito a José dizendo: Dá-nos pão: por que morreremos diante de ti, por haver-se acabado o dinheiro?
So when money fayled in the lande of Egypt, and in the lande of Canaan, then all the Egyptians came vnto Ioseph, and sayde, Giue vs bread: for why should we dye before thee? for our money is spent.
16 E José disse: Dai vossos gados, e eu vos darei por vossos gados, se se acabou o dinheiro.
Then saide Ioseph, Bring your cattell, and I will giue you for your cattell, if your money be spent.
17 E eles trouxeram seus gados a José; e José lhes deu alimentos por cavalos, e pelo rebanho das ovelhas, e pelo rebanho das vacas, e por asnos: e sustentou-os de pão por todos os seus gados aquele ano.
So they brought their cattell vnto Ioseph, and Ioseph gaue them bread for the horses, and for the flockes of sheepe, and for the heards of cattel, and for the asses: so he fed them with bread for all their cattell that yeere.
18 E acabado aquele ano, vieram a ele o segundo ano, e lhe disseram: Não encobriremos a nosso senhor que o dinheiro certamente se acabou; também o gado é já de nosso senhor; nada restou diante de nosso senhor a não ser nossos corpos e nossa terra.
But when the yeere was ended, they came vnto him the next yeere, and sayd vnto him, We will not hide from my lord, that since our money is spent, and my lord hath the heards of the cattel, there is nothing left in the sight of my lorde, but our bodies and our ground.
19 Por que morreremos diante de teus olhos, tanto nós como nossa terra? Compra a nós e a nossa terra por pão, e seremos nós e nossa terra servos de Faraó; e dá-nos semente para que vivamos e não morramos, e não seja assolada a terra.
Why shall we perish in thy sight, both we, and our land? bye vs and our land for bread, and we and our land will be bonde to Pharaoh: therefore giue vs seede, that we may liue and not dye, and that the land go not to waste.
20 Então comprou José toda a terra do Egito para Faraó; pois os egípcios venderam cada um suas terras, porque se agravou a fome sobre eles: e a terra veio a ser de Faraó.
So Ioseph bought all the lande of Egypt for Pharaoh: for the Egyptians solde euery man his ground because the famine was sore vpon the: so the land became Pharaohs.
21 E ao povo o fez passar às cidades desde um fim do termo do Egito até o outro fim.
And he remoued the people vnto the cities, from one side of Egypt euen to the other.
22 Somente a terra dos sacerdotes não comprou, porquanto os sacerdotes tinham ração de Faraó, e eles comiam sua ração que Faraó lhes dava: por isso não venderam sua terra.
Onely the lande of the Priestes bought he not: for the Priestes had an ordinarie of Pharaoh, and they did eate their ordinarie, which Pharaoh gaue them: wherefore they solde not their grounde.
23 E José disse ao povo: Eis que comprei hoje vós e vossa terra para Faraó: vede aqui semente, e semeareis a terra.
Then Ioseph sayd vnto the people, Behold, I haue bought you this daye, and your lande for Pharaoh: lo, here is seede for you: sowe therefore the grounde.
24 E será que dos frutos dareis o quinto a Faraó, e as quatro partes serão vossas para semear as terras, e para vosso mantimento, e dos que estão em vossas casas, e para que comam vossos meninos.
And of the encrease ye shall giue the fifth part vnto Pharaoh, and foure partes shalbe yours for the seede of the fielde, and for your meate, and for them of your housholdes, and for your children to eate.
25 E eles responderam: A vida nos deste: achemos favor aos olhos de meu senhor, e sejamos servos de Faraó.
Then they answered, Thou hast saued our liues: let vs finde grace in the sight of my Lord, and we will be Pharaohs seruants.
26 Então José o pôs por estatuto até hoje sobre a terra do Egito, assinalando para Faraó o quinto; exceto somente a terra dos sacerdotes, que não foi de Faraó.
Then Ioseph made it a lawe ouer the land of Egypt vnto this day, that Pharaoh should haue the fift part, except the land of the priests only, which was not Pharaohs.
27 Assim habitou Israel na terra do Egito, na terra de Gósen; e apossaram-se nela, y se aumentaram, e multiplicaram em grande maneira.
And Israel dwelt in the lande of Egypt, in the countrey of Goshen: and they had their possessions therein, and grewe and multiplied exceedingly.
28 E viveu Jacó na terra do Egito dezessete anos: e foram os dias de Jacó, os anos de sua vida, cento quarenta e sete anos.
Moreouer, Iaakob liued in the lande of Egypt seuenteene yeeres, so that the whole age of Iaakob was an hundreth fourtie and seuen yeere.
29 E achegaram-se os dias de Israel para morrer, e chamou a José seu filho, e lhe disse: Se achei agora favor em teus olhos, rogo-te que ponhas tua mão debaixo de minha coxa, e farás comigo misericórdia e verdade; rogo-te que não me enterres no Egito;
Now when the time drewe neere that Israel must dye, he called his sonne Ioseph, and sayde vnto him, If I haue nowe founde grace in thy sight, put thine hand nowe vnder my thigh, and deale mercifully and truely with me: burie me not, I pray thee, in Egypt.
30 Mas quando dormir com meus pais, me levarás de Egito, e me sepultarás no sepulcro deles. E ele respondeu: Eu farei como tu dizes.
But when I shall sleepe with my fathers, thou shalt carry me out of Egypt, and bury mee in their buryall. And he answered, I will doe as thou hast sayde.
31 E ele disse: Jura-me isso. E ele lhe jurou. Então Israel se inclinou sobre a cabeceira da cama.
The he said, Sweare vnto me. And he sware vnto him. And Israel worshipped towardes the beds head.
