Gênesis 34
1 E saiu Diná a filha de Lia, a qual esta havia dado a Jacó, para ver as mulheres nativas.
Then Dinah the daughter of Leah, which she bare vnto Iaakob, went out to see the daughters of that countrey.
2 E viu-a Siquém, filho de Hamor heveu, príncipe daquela terra, e tomou-a, e deitou-se com ela, e a desonrou.
Whome when Shechem the sonne of Hamor the Hiuite lorde of that countrey sawe, hee tooke her, and lay with her, and defiled her.
3 Mas sua alma se apegou a Diná a filha de Lia, e apaixonou-se pela moça, e falou ao coração da jovem.
So his heart claue vnto Dinah the daughter of Iaakob: and he loued the maide, and spake kindely vnto the maide.
4 E falou Siquém a Hamor seu pai, dizendo: Toma-me por mulher esta moça.
Then said Shechem to his father Hamor, saying, Get me this maide to wife.
5 E ouviu Jacó que havia Siquém violado a Diná sua filha: e estando seus filhos com seu gado no campo, Jacó ficou em silêncio até que eles viessem.
(Nowe Iaakob heard that he had defiled Dinah his daughter, and his sonnes were with his cattell in the fielde: therefore Iaakob helde his peace, vntill they were come.)
6 E dirigiu-se Hamor pai de Siquém a Jacó, para falar com ele.
Then Hamor the father of Shechem went out vnto Iaakob to commune with him.
7 E os filhos de Jacó vieram do campo quando o souberam; e se entristeceram os homens, e se irritaram muito, porque fez depravação em Israel por ter se deitado com a filha de Jacó, o que não se devia haver feito.
And whe the sonnes of Iaakob were come out of the fielde and heard it, it grieued the men, and they were very angry, because he had wrought villenie in Israel, in that he had lyen with Iaakobs daughter: which thing ought not to be done.
8 E Hamor falou com eles, dizendo: A alma de meu filho Siquém se apegou à vossa filha; rogo-vos que a deis por mulher.
And Hamor communed with them, saying, the soule of my sonne Shechem longeth for your daughter: giue her him to wife, I pray you.
9 E aparentai-vos conosco; dai-nos vossas filhas, e tomai vós as nossas.
So make affinitie with vs: giue your daughters vnto vs, and take our daughters vnto you,
10 E habitai conosco; porque a terra estará diante de vós; morai e negociai nela, e tomai nela possessão.
And ye shall dwell with vs, and the lande shalbe before you: dwell, and doe your businesse in it, and haue your possessions therein.
11 Siquém também disse a seu pai e a seus irmãos: Ache eu favor em vossos olhos, e darei o que me disserdes.
Shechem also said vnto her father and vnto her brethren, Let me finde fauour in your eyes, and I will giue whatsoeuer ye shall appoint me.
12 Aumentai muito a exigência de meu dote e presentes, que eu darei quanto me disserdes, e dá-me a moça por mulher.
Aske of me abundantly both dowrie and giftes, and I will giue as ye appoint me, so that ye giue me the maide to wife.
13 E responderam os filhos de Jacó a Siquém e a Hamor seu pai com engano; e falaram, porquanto havia violado a sua irmã Diná.
Then the sonnes of Iaakob answered Shechem and Hamor his father, talking deceitfully, because he had defiled Dinah their sister,
14 E disseram-lhes: Não podemos fazer isto de dar nossa irmã a homem que tem prepúcio; porque entre nós é abominação.
And they said vnto them, We can not do this thing, to giue our sister to an vncircumcised man: for that were a reproofe vnto vs.
15 Mas com esta condição vos consentiremos: se haveis de ser como nós, que se circuncide entre vós todo homem;
But in this will we consent vnto you, if ye will be as we are, that euery man childe among you be circumcised:
16 Então vos daremos nossas filhas, e tomaremos nós as vossas; e habitaremos convosco, e seremos um povo.
Then will we giue our daughters to you, and we will take your daughters to vs, and will dwell with you, and be one people.
17 Mas se não nos prestardes ouvido para vos circuncidar, tomaremos nossa filha, e nos iremos.
But if ye will not hearken vnto vs to be circumcised, then will we take our daughter and depart.
18 E pareceram bem seus palavras a Hamor e a Siquém, filho de Hamor.
Nowe their wordes pleased Hamor, and Shechem Hamors sonne.
19 E não tardou o jovem fazer aquilo, porque a filha de Jacó lhe havia agradado: e ele era o mais honrado de toda a casa de seu pai.
And the yong man deferd not to doe the thing because he loued Iaakobs daughter: he was also the most set by of all his fathers house.
20 Então Hamor e Siquém seu filho vieram à porta de sua cidade, e falaram aos homens de sua cidade, dizendo:
Then Hamor and Shechem his Sonne went vnto the gate of their citie, and communed with the men of their citie, saying,
21 Estes homens são pacíficos conosco, e habitarão nesta terra, e comercializarão nela; pois eis que a terra é bastante ampla para eles; nós tomaremos suas filhas por mulheres, e lhes daremos as nossas.
These men are peaceable with vs: and that they may dwell in the land, and doe their affaires therin (for behold, the land hath roume ynough for them) let vs take their daughters to wiues, and giue them our daughters.
22 Mas com esta condição nos estes homens consentirão em habitar conosco, para que sejamos um povo: se se circuncidar em nós todo homem, assim como eles são circuncidados.
Onely herein will the men consent vnto vs for to dwell with vs, and to be one people, if all the men children among vs be circumcised as they are circumcised.
23 Seus gados, e sua riqueza e todos seus animais, serão nossas; somente concordemos com eles, e habitarão conosco.
Shall not their flockes and their substance and all their cattell be ours? onely let vs consent herein vnto them, and they will dwell with vs.
24 E obedeceram a Hamor e a Siquém seu filho todos os que saíam pela porta da cidade, e circuncidaram a todo homem, dentre os que saíam pela porta de sua cidade.
And vnto Hamor, and Shechem his sonne hearkened all that went out of the gate of his citie: and all the men children were circumcised, euen all that went out of the gate of his citie.
25 E sucedeu que ao terceiro dia, quando sentiam eles a maior dor, os dois filhos de Jacó, Simeão e Levi, irmãos de Diná, tomaram cada um sua espada, e vieram contra a cidade animosamente, e mataram a todo homem.
And on the thirde day (when they were sore) two of the sonnes of Iaakob, Simeon and Leui, Dinahs brethren tooke either of them his sworde and went into the citie boldly, and slue euery male.
26 E a Hamor e a seu filho Siquém mataram a fio de espada; e tomaram a Diná de casa de Siquém, e saíram.
They slewe also Hamor and Shechem his sonne with the edge of the sword, and tooke Dinah out of Shechems house, and went their way.
27 E os filhos de Jacó vieram aos mortos e saquearam a cidade; porquanto haviam violado à sua irmã.
Againe the other sonnes of Iaakob came vpon the dead, and spoyled the citie, because they had defiled their sister.
28 Tomaram suas ovelhas e vacas e seus asnos, e o que havia na cidade e no campo,
They tooke their sheepe and their beeues, and their asses, and whatsoeuer was in the citie, and in the fieldes.
29 E todos os seus pertences; se levaram cativos a todos as suas crianças e suas mulheres, e roubaram tudo o que havia nas casas.
Also they caryed away captiue and spoyled all their goods, and all their children and their wiues, and all that was in the houses.
30 Então disse Jacó a Simeão e a Levi: Vós me perturbastes em fazer-me detestável aos moradores desta terra, os cananeus e os ferezeus; e tendo eu poucos homens, se juntarão contra mim, e me ferirão, e serei destruído eu e minha casa.
Then Iaakob said to Simeon and Leui, Ye haue troubled me, and made me stinke among the inhabitats of the land, aswell the Canaanites, as the Perizzites, and and I being few in nomber, they shall gather theselues together against me, and slay me, and so shall I, and my house be destroied.
31 E eles responderam Havia ele de tratar à nossa irmã como à uma prostituta?
And they answered, Shoulde hee abuse our sister as a whore?
