Gênesis 13
1 Subiu, pois, Abrão do Egito até o Sul de Canaã, ele e sua mulher, com tudo o que tinha, e com ele Ló.
Than Abram departed out of Egipte both he and his wyfe and all that he had and Lot wyth hym vnto the south.
2 E Abrão era riquíssimo em gado, em prata e ouro.
Abram was very rych in catell syluer and gold.
3 E voltou por suas jornadas da parte do Sul até Betel, até o lugar onde havia estado antes sua tenda entre Betel e Ai;
And he went on his iourney fro the south even vnto BETHEL ad vnto the place where his tente was at the fyrst tyme betwene BETHEL and Ay
4 Ao lugar do altar que havia feito ali antes: e invocou ali Abrão o nome do SENHOR.
and vnto the place of the aulter which he made before. And there called Abram vpon the name of the LORde.
5 E também Ló, que andava com Abrão, tinha ovelhas, e vacas, e tendas.
Lot also which went wyth hym had shepe catell and tentes:
6 E a terra não os podia sustentar para que habitassem juntos; porque a riqueza deles era muita, e não podiam morar num mesmo lugar.
so that the londe was not abill to receaue them that they myght dwell together for the substance of their riches was so greate that they coude not dwell together
7 E houve briga entre os pastores do gado de Abrão e os pastores do gado de Ló: e os cananeus e os ferezeus habitavam então na terra.
And there fell a stryfe betwene the herdmen of Abrams catell and the herdmen of Lots catell. Moreouer the Cananytes and the Pherysites dwelled at that tyme in the lande.
8 Então Abrão disse a Ló: Não haja agora briga entre mim e ti, entre meus pastores e os teus, porque somos irmãos.
Than sayd Abram vnto Lot: let there be no stryfe I praye the betwene the and me and betwene my herdmen and thyne for we be brethren.
9 Não está toda a terra diante de ti? Eu te rogo que te separes de mim. Se fores à esquerda, eu irei à direita: e se tu à direita, eu irei à esquerda.
Ys not all the hole lande before the? Departe I praye the fro me. Yf thou wylt take the lefte hande I wyll take the right: Or yf thou take the right hande I wyll take the left.
10 E levantou Ló seus olhos, e viu toda a planície do Jordão, que toda ela era bem regada, antes que destruísse o SENHOR a Sodoma e a Gomorra, como o jardim do SENHOR, como a terra do Egito entrando em Zoar.
And Lot lyft vp hys eyes and beheld all the contre aboute Iordane which was a plenteous contre of water every where before the LORde destroyed Sodoma and Gomorra. Even as the garden of the LORde and as the lande of Egipte tyll thou come to Zoar.
11 Então Ló escolheu para si toda a planície do Jordão: e partiu-se Ló ao Oriente, e separaram-se um do outro.
Than Lot chose all the costes of Iordane ad toke hys iourney from the east. And so departed the one brother from the other.
12 Abrão assentou na terra de Canaã, e Ló assentou nas cidades da planície, e foi pondo suas tendas até Sodoma.
Abram dwelled in the lande of Canaan. And lot in the cytes of the playne and tented tyll he came to Sodome.
13 Mas os homens de Sodoma eram maus e pecadores para com o SENHOR em grande maneira.
But the men of sodome were wyked and synned exceadyngly agenst the LORde.
14 E o SENHOR disse a Abrão, depois que Ló se separou dele: Levanta agora teus olhos, e olha desde o lugar onde estás até o norte, e ao sul, e ao oriente e ao ocidente;
And the LORde sayed vnto Abram after that Lot was departed from hym: lyfte vp thyne eyes and loke from ye place where thou art northward southward eastward and westward
15 Porque toda a terra que vês, a darei a ti e à tua descendência para sempre.
for all the lande which thou seiste wyll I gyue vnto the and to thy seed for ever.
16 E farei tua descendência como o pó da terra: que se alguém puder contar o pó da terra, também tua descendência será contada.
And I wyll make thy seed as the dust of the erth: so that yf a ma can nombre the dust of the erth than shall thy seed also be nombred.
17 Levanta-te, vai pela terra ao longo dela e à sua largura; porque a ti a tenho de dar.
Aryse and walke aboute in the lande in the length of it ad in the bredth for I wyll geue it vnto the.
18 Abrão, pois, removendo sua tenda, veio e morou nos carvalhos de Manre, que é em Hebrom, e edificou ali altar ao SENHOR.
Than Abra toke downe hys tente and went and dwelled in the okegrove of Mamre which is in Ebron and buylded there an altar to the LORde.
