Ezequiel 38

1 E veio a mim a palavra do SENHOR, dizendo:

And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:

2 Filho do homem, dirige teu rosto contra Gogue, da terra de Magogue, príncipe-chefe de Meseque e Tubal, e profetiza contra ele.

Son of man Set thy face against Gog of the land of the Magog, Prince of Rosh Meshech and Tubal, - And prophesy concerning him,

3 E dize: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Eis que eu sou contra ti, ó Gogue, príncipe-chefe de Meseque e de Tubal.

and thou shalt say, Thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, — Behold me! against thee O Gog, Prince of Rosh, Meshech and Tubal;

4 E eu te farei virar, e porei anzóis em tuas queixos, e te levarei com todo o teu exército, cavalos e cavaleiros, todos eles vestidos com armadura completa, uma grande multidão com escudos pequenos e grandes, todos eles manejando espada;

Therefore I will turn thee about, and will put hooks in thy jaws, —and bring thee forth and all thine army. Horses and horsemen Clothed with gorgeous attire, all of them, A mighty gathered host With shield and buckler handling swords, all of them:

5 Persas, cuxitas, e os de Pute com eles; todos eles [com] escudo e capacete;

Persia Ethiopia and Libya with them, All of them, with shield and helmet;

6 Gômer, e todas as suas tropas; a casa de Togarma, dos lados do norte, e todas as suas tropas; muitos povos contigo.

Gomer and all her hordes, The house of Togarmah the remote men of the North and all his hordes, Many peoples with thee.

7 Prepara-te, e apronta-te, tu, e toda as tuas multidões que se juntaram a ti, e sê tu guardião delas.

Be ready, and show thyself ready, Thou and all thy gathered host who have gathered themselves unto thee, — And become thou for me a guard.

8 Depois de muitos dias serás tu visitado; ao fim de anos virás à terra que foi restaurada da espada, ajuntada de muitos povos, aos montes de Israel, que sempre serviram de assolação; mas aquele [povo] foi trazido das nações, e todos eles habitarão em segurança.

After many days, shalt thou muster thy forces, In the afterpart of the years, shalt thou enter Into the land of the remnant brought back from the sword Gathered from among many peoples, Upon the mountains of Israel which have been waste continually, — But the same! from among the peoples, hath been brought forth, And they shall dwell in security, all of them.

9 Então tu subirás, virás como uma tempestade devastadora; serás como nuvem para cobrir a terra, tu, todas as tuas tropas, e muitos povos contigo.

Then shalt thou come up, Like a storm, shalt thou enter, Like a cloud covering the land, shalt thou be, — Thou and all thy hordes, and many peoples with thee.

10 Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: E será naquele dia, que subirão palavras em teu coração, e pensarás mau pensamento;

Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh, — So shall it be in that day, that thoughts will come up on thy heart.- And thou wilt devise a wicked device;

11 E dirás: Subirei contra terra das aldeias sem muros, virei contra os que estão em repouso, que habitam em segurança, todos eles habitam sem muros, não têm ferrolhos nem portas;

and wilt say— I will go up over a land of hamlets, I will enter among them who are at rest dwelling securely, — All of them, dwelling without a wall, Who bars and doors, have none;

12 Para tomar despojo e para saquear presa; para virar tua mão contra as terras desertas [que agora] estão habitadas, e contra o povo que foi ajuntado das nações, que é dono de gados e de posses, que mora no meio da terra.

To capture spoil. And take prey, - To bring back thy hand over desolate places at length inhabited And against a people gathered from among the nations, Getting herds and substance Dwelling upon the navel of the earth.

13 Seba, Dedã, os mercadores de Társis, e todos seus filhotes de leões te dirão: Por acaso vens para tomar despojos? Reuniste tua multidão para saquear presa, para lavar prata e ouro, para tomar gados e posses, para tomar grandes despojos?

Sheba and Dedan and the traders of Tarshish and all her young lions, will say to thee, To capture spoil, art thou coming? And to take prey, hast thou called together thy gathered host? To carry off silver and gold To take away herds and substance, To capture great spoil?

14 Portanto profetiza, ó filho do homem, e dize a Gogue: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Por acaso naquele dia, quando meu povo Israel habitar em segurança, tu não o reconhecerás?

Therefore prophesy, Son of man, and thou shalt say to Gog. Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh: Shall it not be in that day, because my people Israel are dwelling securely: , that thou wilt rouse thyself?

15 Virás, pois, de teu lugar, das regiões do norte, tu e muitos povos contigo, todos eles a cavalo, uma grande reunião, e imenso exército;

Therefore wilt thou come out of thy place. Out of the remote parts of the North, Thou and many peoples with thee, —Riding on horses all of them, A mighty gathered host. Yea a great army;

16 E subirás contra meu povo Israel como uma nuvem para cobrir a terra; [isto] será no fim dos dias; então eu te trarei contra minha terra, para que as nações me conheçam, quando eu houver me santificado em ti, ó Gogue, diante de seus olhos.

Therefore wilt thou come up, against my people Israel, like a cloud covering the land, — In the afterpart of the days, shall it be. that I will suffer thee to enter upon my land, To the end the nations may know me, when I hallow myself in thee before their eyes O Gog!

17 Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Não és tu aquele de quem eu disse nos tempos passados, por meio dos meus servos, os profetas de Israel, que naqueles dias profetizaram [vários] anos que eu te traria contra eles?

Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh, Art thou, he of whom I spake in days aforetime by the hand of my servants the prophets of Israel, who kept on prophesying in those days for years, —That thou shouldest be suffered to come against them?

18 Porém será naquele tempo, quando Gogue vier contra a terra de Israel, diz o Senhor DEUS, que minha fúria subirá ao meu rosto.

So then shall it come to pass in that day, In the day when Gog entereth upon the soil of Israel, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, That mine indignation shall come up into my nostrils;

19 Porque falei em meu zelo, no fogo de minha ira, que naquele dia haverá grande tremor sobre a terra de Israel;

Yea, in my jealousy, in the fire of mine outburst, have I spoken, - Surely in that day, shall there be a great trembling upon the soil of Israel:

20 [De tal maneira] que diante de mim tremerão os peixes do mar, as aves do céu, os animais do campo, todos os répteis andam se arrastrando sobre a terra, e todos os seres humanos que estão sobre a face da terra; e os montes serão derrubados, os precipícios cairão, e todos os muros cairão por terra.

Then shall tremble before me The fishes of the sea, and The bird of the heavens and The wild beast of the field, and Every creeping thing that creepeth on the ground, and All the men who are on the face of the ground, — and The mountains, shall be torn asunder, and The steep places, shall sink down, and, Every wall, to the earth, shall be thrown.

21 Pois chamarei contra ele a espada em todos os meus montes, diz o Senhor DEUS; a espada de cada um será contra seu irmão.

Then will I call against him, every terror, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, the sword of every man against his brother, shall be;

22 E disputarei contra ele com pestilência e com sangue; e farei haver uma grande pancada de chuva, grandes pedras de granizo, fogo e enxofre sobre ele, sobre suas tropas, e sobre os muitos povos que estiverem com ele.

Then will I contend with him by pestilence and by blood, - And an overflowing downpour and hail-stones fire and brimstone, will I rain Upon him, and Upon his hordes, and Upon the many peoples who are with him.

23 Assim me engrandecerei e me santificarei, e serei conhecido em olhos de muitas nações; e saberão que eu sou o SENHOR.

So will I Magnify myself and Hallow myself, and Make myself known. Before the eyes of many nations, —And they shall know that I, am Yahweh.
