Ezequiel 21
1 E veio a mim a palavra do SENHOR, dizendo:
Then came the word of Jehovah to me, saying:
2 Filho do homem, dirige teu rosto contra Jerusalém, pronuncia contra os santuários, e profetiza contra a terra de Israel;
Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop thy word toward the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel,
3 E dize à terra de Israel: Assim diz o SENHOR: Eis que eu [sou] contra ti, e tirarei minha espada de sua bainha, e exterminarei de ti o justo e o perverso.
and say to the land of Israel, Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, I am against thee, and I will draw forth my sword out of its sheath, and will cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked.
4 E dado que exterminarei de ti ao justo e o perverso, por isso minha espada sairá de sua bainha contra todos, desde o sul até o norte.
Seeing then that I cut off from thee the righteous and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of its sheath against all flesh from the south to the north.
5 E todos saberão que eu, o SENHOR, tirei minha espada de sua bainha; ela nunca mais voltará.
And all flesh shall know that I, Jehovah, have drawn forth my sword out of its sheath; it shall not return any more.
6 Porém tu, filho do homem, suspira com quebrantamento de lombos, e com amargura; suspira diante dos olhos deles.
Thou, therefore, O son of man, sigh! With the breaking of thy loins, and with bitterness, sigh before their eyes!
7 E será que, quando te disserem: Por que tu suspiras? Então dirás: Por causa da notícia que vêm; e todo coração se dissolverá, todas as mãos se enfraquecerão, todo espírito se angustiará, e todos joelhos se desfarão em águas; eis que já vem, e ela se cumprirá, diz o Senhor DEUS
And when they shall say to thee, “Wherefore sighest thou?” thou shalt say, “For the rumor, because it cometh; and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall fail, and all knees shall flow with water. Behold it cometh, it shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord Jehovah.”
8 E veio a mim a palavra do SENHOR, dizendo:
Also the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:
9 Filho do homem, profetiza, e dize: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Dize: A espada, a espada está afiada, e também polida;
Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith Jehovah: Say, The sword, the sword is sharpened and furbished.
10 Para degolar matança está afiada, para reluzir como relâmpago está polida. Por acaso nos alegraremos? A vara de meu filho despreza toda árvore.
It is sharpened, that it may make sore slaughter; it is furbished that it may glitter. Or shall we make mirth? The staff of my son despiseth every rod.
11 E ele a deu para polir, para usar dela com a mão; esta espada está afiada, e esta polida está, para a entregar na mão do matador.
And he gave it to be furbished that it might be handled. The sword is sharpened and furbished, to be given into the hand of the slayer.
12 Grita e uiva, ó filho do homem; porque esta será contra meu povo, será contra todos os príncipes de Israel. Entregues à de espada são os do meu povo; portanto bate na coxa.
Cry and howl, son of man! for it cometh upon my people, upon all the princes of Israel. They are given up to the sword with my people. Therefore smite upon thy thigh.
13 Pois tem que haver provação. E o que seria se a vara que despreza não mais existir? diz o Senhor DEUS.
The trial is made. And what if even the contemning staff should be no more? saith the Lord Jehovah.
14 Por isso tu, filho do homem, profetiza, e bate uma mão com outra; por que a espada se dobrará até a terceira vez, a espada dos que forem mortos; esta é espada da grande matança que os cercará,
Thou, therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thine hands together! for twice, yea thrice, cometh the sword, a sword of slaughter, a sword of great slaughter, that besetteth them on every side.
15 Para que os corações desmaiem, e os tropeços se multipliquem; eu pus a ponta da espada contra todas as suas portas. Ah! Ela feita foi para reluzir, e preparada está para degolar.
That their hearts may faint, and their overthrown may be multiplied, I have set the terror of the sword against all their gates. Ah, how is it made to glitter, polished for slaughter!
16 [Ó espada], move-te; vira-te à direita, prepara-te, vira-te à esquerda, para onde quer que tua face te apontar.
Unite thyself, smite to the right, prepare thyself, smite to the left, whithersoever thine edge is turned!
17 E também eu baterei minhas mãos uma com a outra, e farei descansar minha ira. Eu, o SENHOR, falei.
I also will smite my hands together, and cause mine anger to cease. I, Jehovah, have spoken it.
18 E veio a mim a palavra de SENHOR, dizendo:
The word of Jehovah came to me again, saying:
19 E tu, filho do homem, propõe para ti dois caminhos por onde venha a espada do rei da Babilônia; ambos procederão de uma mesma terra; e põe um marco num lugar, põe um marco no começo do caminho da cidade.
Do thou, son of man, appoint thee two ways by which the sword of the king of Babylon may come; from one land shall both of them come; and choose thou a place, choose it at the head of the way to the city.
20 Propõe um caminho, por onde venha a espada contra Rabá dos filhos de Amom, e contra Judá, contra a fortificada Jerusalém.
Appoint a way, that the sword may come towards Rabbath of the sons of Ammon, and towards Judah, to Jerusalem, the fenced city.
21 Porque o rei de Babilônia parará em uma encruzilhada, no começo de dois caminhos, para usar de adivinhação; ele sacudiu flechas, consultou ídolos, olhou o fígado.
For the king of Babylon shall stand at the parting of the way, at the head of the two ways, to use divination; he shall shake together his arrows, he shall consult the teraphim, he shall look at the liver.
22 A adivinhação será para a direita, sobre Jerusalém, para ordenar capitães, para abrir a boca à matança, para levantar a voz em grito, para pôr aríetes contra as portas, para levantar cercos, e edificar fortificações.
In his right hand shall be the lot: Jerusalem, to set battering-rams, to open the mouth with the war-cry, to lift up the voice in shouting, to set battering-rams against the gates, to cast up a mound, to build a tower.
23 E isto será como uma adivinhação falsa aos olhos daqueles que com juramentos firmaram compromisso com eles; porém ele se lembrará da maldade, para que sejam presos.
And this shall appear a false divination in their sight, because they swore oaths to them. But he shall call to remembrance their iniquity, that they may be taken.
24 Portanto, assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Dado que fizestes relembrar vossas maldades, manifestando vossas rebeliões, e revelando vossos pecados em todas vossos atos; por teres feito relembrar, sereis presos com a mão.
Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because ye make your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are discovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear, —because, I say, ye bring yourselves into remembrance, ye shall be taken with that hand.
25 E tu, profano e perverso príncipe de Israel, cujo dia do tempo do fim da maldade virá,
And thou, profane, wicked prince of Israel, whose day cometh in the time when iniquity bringeth destruction!
26 Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Tira o turbante, tira a coroa; esta não será a mesma; ao humilde exaltarei, e ao exaltado humilharei.
Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will remove the diadem, and take away the crown! This shall no more be this. I exalt him that is low, and abase him that is high.
27 Ruína! Ruína! Ruína a farei; e ela não será [restaurada], até que venha aquele a quem lhe pertence por direito, e [a ele] a darei.
I will destroy, destroy, destroy it; and it shall be no more until he come to whom the right belongeth, and to whom I will give it.
28 E tu, filho do homem, profetiza, e dize: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS sobre os filhos de Amom, e sua humilhação; Dize pois: A espada, a espada está desembainhada, polida para a matança, para destruir, para reluzir como relâmpago,
And thou, son of man, prophesy, and say: Thus saith the Lord Jehovah concerning the sons of Ammon and their scorn; even say thou, The sword, the sword is drawn; to slay, to consume, is it furbished, so that it glittereth;
29 Enquanto te profetizam falsidade, enquanto te adivinham mentira; para te porem sobre os pescoços dos perversos condenados à morte, cujo dia virá no tempo do fim da maldade.
while they see deceit for thee, and prophesy falsehood, that it may bring thee to the necks of the wicked that are slain, whose day cometh in the time when iniquity bringeth destruction.
30 Torna [tua espada] à sua bainha! No lugar onde foste criado, na terra de teu nascimento eu te julgarei.
Return the sword into its sheath! In the place where thou wast created, in the land of thy nativity, I will judge thee,
31 E derramarei sobre ti minha ira; assoprarei contra ti o fogo do meu furor, e te entregarei na mão de homens violentos, habilidosos em destruir.
and I will pour upon thee my indignation, I will blow upon thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hands of brutal men, skilful to destroy.
32 Para o fogo tu serás combustível; teu sangue estará no meio da terra; não haverá memória de ti; porque eu, o SENHOR, falei.
Thou shalt be fuel for the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; men shall no more remember thee. I, Jehovah, have spoken it.
