Ezequiel 2

1 E Disse-me: Filho do homem, fica de pé, e falarei contigo.

And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak with thee.

2 Então entrou em mim o Espírito enquanto falava comigo, e fez-me ficar de pé, e ouvi àquele que estava falando comigo.

And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet; and I heard him that spake unto me.

3 E disse-me: Filho do homem, eu te envio aos filhos de Israel, às nações rebeldes que se rebelaram contra mim; eles e seus pais têm transgredido contra mim até este dia de hoje.

And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to nations that are rebellious, which have rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.

4 Pois são filhos duros de rosto e obstinados de coração; eu te envio a eles; e tu lhes dirás: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS.

And the children are impudent and stiffhearted; I do send thee unto them: and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.

5 E eles, quer ouçam, quer deixem [de ouvir], (pois são uma casa rebelde) mesmo assim saberão que houve profeta entre eles.

And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house, ) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

6 E tu, filho do homem, não os temas, nem temas suas palavras, ainda que estejas entre sarças e espinheiros, e tu habites com escorpiões; não temas suas palavras, nem te espantes pela presença deles, ainda que sejam uma casa rebelde.

And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

7 Tu falarás minhas palavras, quer ouçam, quer deixem [de ouvir]; pois são rebeldes.

And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.

8 Porém tu, filho do homem, ouve o que eu te falo; não sejas rebelde como a casa rebelde; abre a tua boca, e come o que eu te dou.

But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

9 Então eu vi e eis que uma mão foi estendida para mim, e eis que nela havia um rolo de livro.

And when I looked, behold, an hand was put forth unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;

10 E o estendeu diante de mim, e estava escrito pela frente, e por detrás: e nele estavam escritas lamentações, suspiros, e ais.

And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.
