Ezequiel 16

1 E veio a mim a palavra do SENHOR, dizendo:

And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying:

2 Filho do homem, notifica a Jerusalém suas abominações,

Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,

3 E dize: Assim diz o Senhor DEUS a Jerusalém: Tua origem e teu nascimento [procedem] da terra de Canaã; teu pai era amorreu, e tua mãe Heteia.

and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah to Jerusalem: Thine origin and thy nativity were of the land of Canaan. Thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother a Hittite.

4 E quanto a teu nascimento, no dia que nasceste não foi cortado o teu umbigo, nem foste lavada com água para ficares limpa; nem foste esfregada com sal, nem foste envolvida em faixas.

And as to thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water so as to be cleansed. Thou wast not sprinkled with salt, nor wrapped in swaddling-clothes.

5 Não houve olho algum que se compadecesse de ti, para te fazer algo disto, tendo misericórdia; ao invés disso, foste lançada sobre a face do campo, por nojo de tua alma, no dia em que nasceste.

No eye pitied thee, to do to thee any of these things, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out into the open field, so as to loathe thyself, on the day thou wast born.

6 E quando passei junto a ti, vi-te suja em teu sangue, e te disse em teu sangue: Vive; e te disse em teu sangue: Vive.

And when I passed by thee, and saw thee in danger of being trodden under foot in thy blood, I said to thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live! yea, I said to thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live!

7 Eu te multipliquei como o broto do campo, e cresceste, e engrandeceste; e chegaste à grande formosura; os seios te cresceram, e teu pelo cresceu; porém estavas nua e descoberta.

I caused thee to increase like the plant of the field, and thou didst grow, and become tall, and didst attain to distinguished charms. Thy breasts swelled, and thy hair grew, whereas thou wast naked and bare.

8 E quando passei junto a ti, e te vi, e eis que teu tempo era tempo de amores; e estendi meu manto sobre ti, e cobri tua nudez; e prestei juramento a ti, e entrei em pacto contigo, e foste minha diz o Senhor DEUS.

And when I passed by thee, and saw thee, behold, it was thy time, the time of love. And I spread my skirt over thee and covered thy nakedness; and I swore to thee, and entered into covenant with thee, and thou becamest mine.

9 Então te lavei com água, e te enxaguei de teu sangue, e te ungi com óleo;

Then I washed thee with water, yea, I thoroughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.

10 E te vesti de bordado, calcei-te com couro, cingi-te de linho fino, e te cobri de seda.

I clothed thee also with broidered work, and gave thee shoes of seal's skin, and wrapped thee about with fine linen, and covered thee with silk.

11 E te adornei com ornamentos, e pus braceletes em teus braços, e colar em teu pescoço;

And I decked thee with ornaments, and put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain upon thy neck.

12 E pus joias pendente em teu nariz, argolas em tuas orelhas, e uma linda coroa em tua cabeça.

And I put a jewel in thy nostril, and ear-rings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thy head.

13 E foste adornada de ouro e de prata, e teu vestido foi linho fino, e seda, e bordado; comeste farinha fina, mel, e azeite; foste muito formosa, e prosperaste até ser rainha.

Thus wast thou adorned with gold and silver, and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work. Fine flour and honey and oil didst thou eat; and thou wast exceedingly beautiful, and didst prosper so as to become a queen.

14 A tua fama percorreu entre as nações por causa da tua beleza; porque era perfeita, por causa da minha glória que eu havia posto sobre ti, diz o Senhor DEUS.

And thy renown went forth among the nations for thy beauty; for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord Jehovah.

15 Porém confiaste na tua beleza, e te prostituíste por causa da tua fama, e derramaste tuas prostituições a todo que passava, para que fosse dele.

But thou didst trust in thy beauty, and didst play the harlot because of thy renown, and didst lavish thy fornications on every one that passed by; his was it.

16 E tomaste de teus vestidos, fizeste altares de diversas cores, e te prostituíste sobre eles: coisa semelhante não virá, nem será assim.

And of thy garments thou didst take, and didst make thee high places, spread with divers colors, and didst play the harlot thereon, the like things to which shall not come to pass, neither shall they be.

17 Tomaste também os vasos de teu ornamento, que eu te dei de meu ouro e de minha prata, e fizeste para ti imagens de homens, e te prostituíste com elas.

Thou didst take also thy fair jewels of my gold and my silver, which I gave thee, and didst make to thyself images of men, and didst commit fornication with them;

18 E tomaste teus vestidos bordados, e as cobriste; e puseste meu óleo e meu perfume diante delas.

and thou didst take thy broidered garments and cover them; and thou didst set mine oil and mine incense before them.

19 E o meu pão também que eu te dei, a farinha fina, o azeite, e o mel, com que eu te sustentava, puseste diante delas, como cheiro suave; e assim foi, diz o Senhor DEUS.

My food also, which I gave thee, fine flour and oil and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou didst set it before them with a sweet savor; even thus it was, saith the Lord Jehovah.

20 Além disto, tomaste teus filhos e tuas filhas, que havias gerado para mim, e os sacrificaste a elas para que fossem consumidas. Por acaso são poucas as tuas prostituições?

Moreover thou didst take thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou didst bear to me, and these didst thou sacrifice to them to be devoured. Was it not enough for thee to commit fornication,

21 E mataste meus filhos, e os entregastes a elas para que passassem pelo [fogo].

that thou didst slay my children, and deliver them up to cause them to pass through the fire to them?

22 E em todas as tuas abominações e tuas prostituições, não te lembraste dos dias de tua juventude, quando estavas nua e descoberta, quando estavas suja em teu sangue.

And in all thine abominations and thy fornications, thou didst not remember the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, and in danger of being trampled under foot in thy blood.

23 E sucedeu que, depois de toda tua maldade (Ai, ai de ti! diz o Senhor DEUS),

And it came to pass, after all thy wickedness, (woe, woe to thee! saith the Lord Jehovah, )

24 Edificaste para ti uma câmara, e fizeste para ti altares em todas as ruas:

that thou didst build for thee an arched place, and make thee a high place in every street;

25 Em cada canto de caminho edificaste teu altar, fizeste abominável tua formosura, e abriste tuas pernas a todo que passava; e [assim] multiplicaste tuas prostituições.

at every head of the way didst thou build thy high place, and didst make thy beauty to be abhorred, and didst open thy feet to every one that passed by, and didst multiply thy fornications.

26 E te prostituíste com os filhos do Egito, teus vizinhos, grandemente promíscuos; e multiplicaste tuas prostituições, para me provocar à ira.

Thou hast also committed fornication with the Egyptians, thy neighbors, having great members, and hast multiplied thy fornications to provoke me to anger.

27 Por isso eis que estendi minha mão sobre ti, e diminuí tua provisão; e te entreguei à vontade das que te odeiam, as filhas dos filisteus, as quais se envergonhavam de teu caminho pecaminoso.

Therefore, behold, I have stretched out my hand against thee, and have diminished thine allowance, and delivered thee to the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, who are ashamed of thy lewd way.

28 Também te prostituíste com os filhos da Assíria, por seres insaciável; e te prostituindo com eles, nem ainda te fartaste.

Thou hast also committed fornication with the Assyrians, because thou wast insatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldst not be satisfied.

29 Ao invés disso multiplicaste tuas prostituições na terra de Canaã até a Caldeia; e nem ainda com isso com isto te fartaste.

Thou hast also multiplied thy fornication with the land of Canaan, even to Chaldaea; and yet wast thou not satisfied therewith.

30 Como está fraco o teu coração, diz o Senhor DEUS, tendo tu feito todas estas coisas, obras de uma poderosa prostituta,

How faint was thy heart, saith the Lord Jehovah, that thou didst all those things which an imperious whorish wife doeth,

31 Edificando tu tuas câmaras ao canto de cada caminho, e fazendo teus altares em cada rua; e nem sequer foste como a prostituta, [pois] desprezaste o pagamento,

in that thou didst build thine arched place at the head of every way, and make thy high place in every street! Thou wast not like a harlot, who scoffeth at her hire,

32 [Mas foste] como uma mulher adúltera, que em lugar de seu marido recebe a estranhos.

but as an adulterous wife, that taketh strangers instead of her husband.

33 Todas as prostitutas são pagas; mas tu deste teus pagamentos a todos os teus amantes; e lhes deste presentes, para que viessem a ti dos lugares ao redor, por causa de tuas prostituições.

To all women that commit fornication men give a reward; but thou gavest thy gifts to all thy lovers, and hiredst them to come to thee from every side to commit fornication with thee.

34 Assim acontece contigo o contrário das mulheres que se prostituem, porque ninguém te buscou para prostituir; pois quando pagas ao invés de receber pagamento, tu tens sido o contrário [das outras].

Thou wast the reverse of other women in thy fornications. None followed after thee to commit fornication, but thou gavest the reward, and no reward was given thee, —therefore thou wast the reverse.

35 Portanto, ó prostituta, ouve a palavra do SENHOR.

Wherefore, O harlot, hear the word of Jehovah!

36 Assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Visto que se derramou teu dinheiro, e tuas vergonhas foram descobertas por tuas prostituições com teus amantes, como também com todos os ídolos de tuas abominações, e no sangue de teus filhos, os quais lhes deste;

Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thy treasure was poured out, and thy nakedness discovered for fornication before thy lovers, and all thine abominable idols, and because of the blood of thy children, which thou didst give to them,

37 Por isso eis que ajuntarei todos os teus amantes com os quais tiveste prazer, e também todos os que amaste, com todos quantos tu odiaste; e os ajuntarei contra ti ao redor, e descobrirei tua nudez diante deles, para que vejam toda a tua nudez.

therefore, behold, I will gather all thy lovers, to whom thou wast pleasing, all them that thou hast loved, with all them that thou hast hated, I will gather them against thee round about, and will uncover thy nakedness to them, that they may see all thy nakedness.

38 E eu te julgarei pelas leis das adúlteras, e das que derramam sangue; e te entregarei ao sangue do furor e do ciúme.

And I will judge thee as women that break wedlock and shed blood are judged, and I will cause thy blood to flow in fury and jealousy.

39 E te entregarei na mão deles; e eles destruirão tua câmara, derrubarão teus altares, e te despirão de teus vestidos; e tomarão as joias de teu ornamento, e te deixarão nua e descoberta.

And I will give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thine arched place, and break down thy high places. They shall also strip thee of thy clothes, and leave thee naked and bare.

40 Então farão subir contra ti uma multidão, e te apedrejarão com pedras, e te atravessarão com suas espadas.

They shall also bring up a company against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords;

41 E queimarão tuas casas a fogo, e executarão julgamentos contra ti, diante dos olhos de muitas mulheres; e te farei cessar de ser prostituta, nem darás mais pagamento.

and they shall burn thine houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women; and I will cause thee to cease from playing the harlot, and thou shalt give hire no more.

42 Assim farei descansar meu furor sobre ti, meu ciúme se afastará de ti; eu me aquietarei, e não mais me indignarei.

So will I make my fury toward thee to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from thee; and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.

43 Porque não te lembraste dos dias de tua juventude, e me provocaste à ira com tudo isto, por isso eis que também eu tornarei o teu caminho sobre [tua] cabeça, diz o Senhor DEUS; por acaso não cometeste tu tal promiscuidade além de todas as tuas abominações?

Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast raged against me in all these things, therefore I also will recompense thy way upon thy head, saith the Lord Jehovah, so that thou shalt not commit this wickedness in addition to all thy abominations.

44 Eis que todo aquele que usa de provérbios fará provérbio sobre ti, dizendo: Tal mãe, tal filha.

Behold, all they that use proverbs shall utter this proverb concerning thee: “As the mother, so the daughter.”

45 Tu és filha de tua mãe, que tinha nojo de seu marido e de seus filhos; e tu és irmã de tuas irmãs, que tinham nojo de seus maridos e de seus filhos; vossa mãe foi Heteia, e vosso pai amorreu.

Thou art the daughter of thy mother, that loathed her husband and her children; and thou art the sister of thy sisters, that loathed their husbands and their children; your mother was a Hittite, and your father an Amorite.

46 E tua irmã maior é Samaria, ela e suas filhas, a qual habita à tua esquerda; e tua irmã menor que tu é Sodoma com suas filhas, a qual habita à tua direita.

And thine elder sister is Samaria, with her daughters, that dwelleth at thy left hand; and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom, with her daughters.

47 Porém não andaste em seus caminhos, nem fizeste conforme suas abominações; mas em vez disso, como se fosse muito pouco, tu te corrompeste ainda mais que elas em todos os teus caminhos.

Yet thou hast not walked in their ways, nor done according to their abominations: that was disdained by you, as a very little thing; thou hast been more corrupt than they in all thy ways.

48 Vivo eu, diz o Senhor DEUS, que tua irmã Sodoma e suas filhas não fizeram tanto como fizeste tu e tuas filhas.

As I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, Sodom, thy sister, hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters.

49 Eis que esta foi a maldade de tua irmã Sodoma: ela e suas filhas tiveram soberba, fartura de pão, e abundância de conforto; porém nunca ajudaram a mão do pobre e do necessitado.

Behold, this was the iniquity of Sodom, thy sister: in pride, superabundance, and careless ease did she live, she and her daughters, and the hand of the poor and needy she did not strengthen;

50 E se tornaram arrogantes, e fizeram abominação diante de mim, por isso eu as tirei quando vi [isto].

and they were haughty, and committed abomination before me; therefore I took them away when I saw it.

51 Também Samaria não cometeu sequer a metade de teus pecados; e tu multiplicaste tuas abominações mais que elas, e fizeste tuas irmãs parecerem justas em comparação a todas as tuas abominações que fizeste.

Neither hath Samaria committed half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters in all thine abominations which thou hast done.

52 Tu também, leva tua vergonha, tu que julgaste em favor de tuas irmãs por meio de teus pecados, que fizeste mais abomináveis que elas; mais justas são que tu; envergonha-te, pois, tu também, e leva tua vergonha, pois justificaste a tuas irmãs.

Now, therefore, bear thou thy shame, to which thou hast condemned thy sisters, since by thy sins which thou hast committed, more abominable than they, they are more righteous than thou. Yea, be thou confounded and bear thy shame, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.

53 Eu, pois, os restaurarei de seu infortúnio, os cativos de Sodoma e de suas filhas, e os cativos de Samaria e de suas filhas, e os cativos do teu cativeiro entre elas,

Yet I will bring them back from their captivity, even Sodom and her daughters from their captivity, and Samaria and her daughters from their captivity; thee also will I bring back from thy captivity in the midst of them;

54 Para que leves tua vergonha, e sejas envergonhada por tudo que fizeste, dando-lhes tu consolo.

that thou mayst bear thy shame, and mayst be confounded on account of all which thou hast done, in that thou art a comfort to them.

55 Enquanto tuas irmãs, Sodoma com suas filhas e Samaria com suas filhas, voltarão ao seu primeiro estado; também tu e tuas filhas voltareis a vosso primeiro estado.

And thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate, and thou and thy daughters shall return to your former estate.

56 Não foi tua irmã Sodoma mencionada em tua boca no tempo de tuas soberbas,

And yet Sodom, thy sister, was not mentioned by thy mouth in the day of thy pride

57 Antes que tua maldade fosse descoberta? Semelhantemente [agora é teu] tempo de humilhação pelas filhas de Síria e de todos que estavam ao redor dela, e as filhas dos filisteus ao redor, que te desprezam.

before thy wickedness was discovered, as in the time of thy reproach from the daughters of Syria, and from all that were round about her, and from the daughters of the Philistines, who despised thee round about.

58 Tu levarás [a punição por] tua perversidade e tuas abominações, diz o SENHOR.

Thy wickedness and thine abominations must thou now bear, saith the Lord Jehovah.

59 Porque assim diz o Senhor DEUS: Eu farei contigo conforme tu fizeste, que desprezaste o juramento, quebrando o pacto.

For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will do to thee as thou hast done, who hast despised the oath and hast broken the covenant.

60 Contudo eu me lembrarei do meu pacto contigo nos dias de tua juventude, e estabelecerei contigo um pacto eterno.

But I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish with thee an everlasting covenant.

61 Então te lembrarás de teus caminhos, e te envergonharás, quando receberes a tuas irmãs maiores que tu com as menores que tu, pois eu as darei a ti por filhas, porém não por teu pacto.

Then shalt thou remember thy ways, and be ashamed, when thou shalt receive thy sisters, thine elder and thy younger, and I shall give them to thee for daughters, but not by thy observance of thy covenant.

62 E estabelecerei meu pacto contigo, e saberás que eu sou o SENHOR;

But I will establish my covenant with thee, and thou shalt know that I am Jehovah;

63 Para que te lembres [disso], e te envergonhes, e nunca mais abras a boca por causa de tua vergonha, quando eu me reconciliar contigo de tudo quanto fizeste, diz o Senhor DEUS.

that thou mayst remember and be confounded, and not open thy mouth any more for shame, when I forgive thee all which thou hast done, saith the Lord Jehovah.
