Êxodo 31

1 E falou o SENHOR a Moisés, dizendo:

Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying:

2 Olha, eu chamei por seu nome a Bezalel, filho de Uri, filho de Hur, da tribo de Judá;

See, I have called by name, Bezaleel, son of Uri, son of Hur of the tribe of Judah;

3 E o enchi de espírito de Deus, em sabedoria, e em inteligência, e em conhecimento, e em todo artifício,

and have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and in understanding, and in knowledge and in all manner of workmanship;

4 Para inventar desenhos, para trabalhar em ouro, e em prata, e em bronze,

to devise skilful designs, to work in gold and in silver, and in bronze;

5 E em artifício de pedras para engastá-las, e em artifício de madeira; para agir em todo tipo de trabalho.

and in the cutting of stones for setting, and in the carving of wood, —to work in all manner of workmanship,

6 E eis que eu pus com ele a Aoliabe, filho de Aisamaque, da tribo de Dã: e pus sabedoria no ânimo de todo sábio de coração, para que façam tudo o que te mandei:

I myself, therefore, lo! I have given with him Oholiab, son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan, and in the heart of every one that is wise-hearted, have I put wisdom, —so shall they make all that I have commanded thee—

7 O tabernáculo do testemunho, e a arca do testemunho, e o propiciatório que está sobre ela, e todos os utensílios do tabernáculo;

the tent of meeting, and the ark of the testimony; and the propitiatory which is thereupon, and all the utensils of the tent;

8 E a mesa e seus utensílios, e o candelabro limpo e todos os seus utensílios, e o altar do incenso;

and the table, and its utensils, and the pure lampstand, and all its utensils, —and the incense altar;

9 E o altar do holocausto e todos os seus utensílios, e a pia e sua base;

and the altar for the ascending-sacrifice, and all its utensils, and the laver, and its stand;

10 E as roupas do serviço, e as santas vestiduras para Arão o sacerdote, e as vestiduras de seus filhos, para que exerçam o sacerdócio;

and the cloths of variegated stuff, and the holy garments, for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, for ministering as priests;

11 E o azeite da unção, e o incenso aromático para o santuário: farão conforme tudo o que te mandei.

and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense for the holy place, according to all which I have commanded thee, shall they do.

12 Falou também o SENHOR a Moisés, dizendo:

Then spake Yahweh unto Moses saying—

13 E tu falarás aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Com tudo isso vós guardareis meus sábados: porque é sinal entre mim e vós por vossas gerações, para que saibais que eu sou o SENHOR que vos santifico.

Thou thyself, therefore, speak unto the sons of Israel, saying, Surely, my sabbaths, shall ye keep, for, a sign it is betwixt me and you to your generations, that ye may know that I Yahweh do hallow you.

14 Assim guardareis o sábado, porque santo é a vós: o que o profanar, certamente morrerá; porque qualquer um que fizer obra alguma nele, aquela alma será cortada do meio de seus povos.

Therefore shall ye keep the sabbath, for holy, it is unto you, he that profaneth it shall be surely put to death; verily whosoever doeth therein any work that soul shall be cut off from the midst of its people:

15 Seis dias se fará obra, mas o dia sétimo é sábado de repouso consagrado ao SENHOR; qualquer um que fizer obra no dia do sábado certamente morrerá.

Six days, shall work be done, but on the seventh day, is a holy sabbath-keeping of rest unto Yahweh, —whosoever doeth work on the sabbath day, shall be, surely put to death.

16 Guardarão, pois, o sábado os filhos de Israel: celebrando-o por suas gerações por pacto perpétuo:

Therefore shall the sons of Israel keep the sabbath, —by making it a Day of Rest to your generations, as an age-abiding covenant:

17 Sinal é para sempre entre mim e os filhos de Israel; porque em seis dias fez o SENHOR os céus e a terra, e no sétimo dia cessou, e repousou.

between me and the sons of Israel, a sign it is unto times age-abiding, —for in six days, did Yahweh make the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day, he rested, and was refreshed.

18 E deu a Moisés quando acabou de falar com ele no monte de Sinai, duas tábuas do testemunho, tábuas de pedra escritas com o dedo de Deus.

Then gave he unto Moses, as he finished speaking with him in Mount Sinai, the two tables of the testimony, —tables of stone, written with the finger of God,
