Êxodo 10
1 E o SENHOR disse a Moisés: Vai à presença de Faraó; porque agravei o coração dele, e o coração de seus servos, para fazer entre eles estes meus sinais;
Then said Yahweh unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, —for, I, have suffered his heart to be dull and the heart of his servants, that I may show these my signs, in their midst;
2 e para que contes a teus filhos e a teus netos as coisas que eu fiz em Egito, e meus sinais que realizei entre eles; e para que saibais que eu sou o SENHOR.
and that thou mayest recount in the ears of thy son and thy sons’ son, what I did in derision of the Egyptians, and my signs which I displayed among them, —so shall ye know that I, am Yahweh.
3 Então vieram Moisés e Arão a Faraó, e lhe disseram: O SENHOR, o Deus dos hebreus disse assim: Até quando não quererás te humilhar diante de mim? Deixa ir a meu povo para que me sirvam.
And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him—Thus, saith Yahweh, God of the Hebrews, How long hast thou refused to humble thyself before me? Let my people go that they may serve me.
4 E se ainda recusas deixá-lo ir, eis que trarei amanhã gafanhotos em teu território,
But if, refusing, thou art to let my people go, behold me bringing in tomorrow a locust within thy bounds;
5 os quais cobrirão a face da terra, de modo que não se possa ver a terra; e ela comerá o que restou salvo, o que vos restou do granizo; comerão também toda árvore que vos produz fruto no campo;
and it shall cover the eye of the land, so that one shall not be able to see the land, —and it shall eat the residue that hath escaped, that is left you from the hail, and shall eat up all the trees that sprout for you out of the field;
6 e encherão tuas casas, e as casas de todos os teus servos, e as casas de todos os egípcios, que nunca viram teus pais nem teus avós, desde que eles existiram sobre a terra até hoje. E voltou-se, e saiu da presença de Faraó.
and they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants and the houses of all the Egyptians, such as thy fathers and thy fathers’ fathers have never seen, from the day they came to be on the ground, until this day. And he turned away, and came out from the presence of Pharaoh.
7 Então os servos de Faraó lhe disseram: Até quando este nos será por laço? Deixa ir a estes homens, para que sirvam ao SENHOR seu Deus; ainda não sabes que Egito está destruído?
Then said the servants of Pharaoh unto him, How long shall this [man] become to us a snare? Let the men go, that they may serve Yahweh their God. Not yet, knowest thou, that Egypt is, ruined?
8 E Moisés e Arão voltaram a ser chamados a Faraó, o qual lhes disse: Andai, servi ao SENHOR vosso Deus. Quem e quem são os que irão?
So Moses and Aaron were brought back unto pharaoh, and he said unto them—Go, serve Yahweh your God, —who, are they that are going?
9 E Moisés respondeu: Iremos com nossos meninos e com nossos idosos, com nossos filhos e com nossas filhas; iremos com nossas ovelhas e com nossas vacas, porque temos solenidade do SENHOR.
And Moses said, With our young and with our old, will we go, —with our sons and with our daughters with our flocks and with our herds, will we go, —for, the festival of Yahweh, is ours.
10 E ele lhes disse: Assim esteja o SENHOR convosco se eu vos deixar ir a vós e a vossos meninos; olhai como o mal está diante de vosso rosto.
Then he said unto them: Let Yahweh, so, be with you, when I let go you and your little ones! Look out for, harm, is straight before your faces.
11 Não será assim: ide agora vós, os homens, e servi ao SENHOR; pois isto é o que vós pedistes. E eles foram expulsos de diante de Faraó.
Not so! Go, I pray you, ye grown men and serve Yahweh, for, that, is what, ye, were seeking. And they were driven out from the presence of Pharaoh.
12 Então o SENHOR disse a Moisés: Estende tua mão sobre a terra do Egito para gafanhotos, a fim de que subam sobre a terra do Egito, e consumam tudo o que o granizo deixou.
Then said Yahweh unto Moses—Stretch forth thy hand over the land of Egypt for the locust, that it may come up over the land of Egypt, —and may eat up every herb of the land, all that the hail hath left.
13 E estendeu Moisés sua vara sobre a terra do Egito, e o SENHOR trouxe um vento oriental sobre aquela terra durante todo aquele dia e toda aquela noite; e na manhã o vento oriental trouxe os gafanhotos;
And Moses stretched forth his staff over the land of Egypt, and, Yahweh, caused an east wind to drive through the land, all that day, and all the night, —when the morning, had come, the east wind, had brought the locust.
14 E os gafanhotos subiram sobre toda a terra do Egito, e pousaram em todos os termos do Egito, em gravíssima maneira; antes dela não houve gafanhotos semelhantes, nem depois deles vieram outros tais;
And the locust came up over all the land of Egypt, and settled in all the bounds of Egypt, —very grievous, before it, had not been such a locust as that, neither after it, should be one like it.
15 E cobriram a face de todo o país, e aquela terra se escureceu; e consumiram toda a erva da terra, e todo o fruto das árvores que o granizo havia deixado; que não restou coisa verde em árvores nem em erva do campo, por toda a terra do Egito.
So it covered the eye of all the land and the land was darkened, and it did eat every herb of the land and all the fruit of the trees, which the hail had left remaining, —so that there was not left remaining any green sprout in the trees or in the herb of the field in all the land of Egypt.
16 Então Faraó fez chamar depressa a Moisés e a Arão, e disse: Pequei contra o SENHOR vosso Deus, e contra vós.
Then hastened Pharaoh, to call for Moses and for Aaron, —and said—I have sinned against Yahweh your God, and against you.
17 Mas rogo agora que perdoes meu pecado somente esta vez, e que oreis ao SENHOR vosso Deus que tire de mim somente esta morte.
Now, therefore, forgive I pray you my sin—only this time, and make entreaty to Yahweh your God, —that he may take away from me, at least, this death.
18 E saiu da presença de Faraó, e orou ao SENHOR.
So he came out from Pharaoh, —and made entreaty unto Yahweh;
19 E o SENHOR voltou um vento ocidental fortíssimo, e tirou os gafanhotos, e lançou-os ao mar Vermelho; nem um gafanhoto restou ao todo o território do Egito.
and Yahweh turned back a west wind strong exceedingly, and carried away the locust and cast it into the Red Sea, —there was not left a single locust in all the bounds of Egypt.
20 Mas o SENHOR endureceu o coração de Faraó; e não permitiu a saída dos filhos de Israel.
But Yahweh suffered the heart of Pharaoh to wax bold, —and he did not let the sons of Israel go.
21 E o SENHOR disse a Moisés: Estende tua mão até o céu, para que haja trevas sobre a terra do Egito, tão intensas que qualquer um as apalpe.
Then said Yahweh unto Moses: Stretch forth thy hand over the heavens, that there may be darkness, over the land of Egypt, —and that one may feel the darkness.
22 E estendeu Moisés sua mão até o céu, e houve densas durante trevas três dias por toda a terra do Egito.
So Moses stretched forth his hand over the heavens, —and there was thick darkness in all the land of Egypt for three days;
23 Nenhum podia ver seu próximo, nem ninguém se levantou de seu lugar em três dias; mas todos os filhos de Israel tinham luz em suas habitações.
they saw not one another neither rose any man from his couch for three days, —but all the sons of Israel, had light in their dwellings.
24 Então Faraó fez chamar a Moisés, e disse: Ide, servi ao SENHOR; somente restem vossas ovelhas e vossas vacas; vão também vossas crianças convosco.
Then Pharaoh called out unto Moses and said—Go serve Yahweh, only, your flocks and your herds, shall be left, —even your little ones shall go with you.
25 E Moisés respondeu: Tu também nos entregarás sacrifícios e holocaustos para que sacrifiquemos ao SENHOR nosso Deus.
And Moses said, Even thou thyself, shalt give into our hands sacrifices and ascending-offerings, —so shall we present offerings to Yahweh our God.
26 Nossos gados irão também conosco; não ficará nem uma casco; porque deles tomaremos para servir ao SENHOR nosso Deus; e não sabemos com que serviremos ao SENHOR, até que cheguemos ali.
Moreover also, our own cattle, shall go with us—there shall not be left behind, a hoof, for thereof, must we take, to serve Yahweh our God, —even we ourselves, cannot know wherewith we must serve Yahweh, until we have come in thither.
27 Mas o SENHOR endureceu o coração de Faraó, e não quis deixá-los ir.
And Yahweh let the heart of Pharaoh wax bold, —and he was not willing to let them go.
28 E disse-lhe Faraó: Retira-te de mim; guarda-te que não vejas mais meu rosto, porque em qualquer dia que vires meu rosto, morrerás.
So Pharaoh said to him—Get thee from me, —take heed to thyself—do not any more! see my face, for in the day thou dost see my face, thou shalt die.
29 E Moisés respondeu: Bem disseste; não verei mais teu rosto.
And Moses said—Well hast thou spoken, —no more again to see thy face.
