Efésios 3
1 Por isso eu, Paulo, [sou] prisioneiro de Cristo Jesus, para o benefício de vós, gentios.
For this cause [[I bend my knees]], I Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you gentiles;
2 Se é que já ouvistes da responsabilidade acerca da graça de Deus, que me foi dada para vós;
if, indeed, ye heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given me toward you,
3 que por revelação me foi dado a conhecer este mistério (conforme já [vos] escrevi um pouco;
that by revelation the mystery was made known to me, as I wrote before in few words,
4 quando o ledes, podeis entender o meu entendimento deste mistério de Cristo).
whereby, when ye read, ye may perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ;
5 Esse mistério em outras gerações não foi dado a conhecer aos seres humanos, como agora foi revelado pelo Espírito aos seus santos apóstolos e profetas:
which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it hath now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
6 [isto é, ] que os gentios são conjuntamente herdeiros, [membros] de um mesmo corpo, e participantes da promessa em Cristo Jesus por meio do evangelho.
that the gentiles are fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers with us of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel;
7 Eu fui feito servidor desse [evangelho] conforme o dom da graça de Deus, que me foi dada segundo a operação do seu poder.
of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God, given to me according to the effectual working of his power.
8 A mim, o menor de todos os santos, foi dada esta graça de anunciar aos gentios, por meio do Evangelho, as inimagináveis riquezas de Cristo,
To me, who am less than the least of all saints, was this grace given, to make known among the gentiles the glad tidings of the unsearchable riches of Christ,
9 E para esclarecer qual é a administração do mistério que desde as eras passadas esteve oculto em Deus, que criou todas as coisas, (aiōn g165)
to make all men see what is the dispensation of the mystery, which hath been hidden for ages in God, who created all things; (aiōn g165)
10 para que a multiforme sabedoria de Deus seja agora manifestada pela igreja aos domínios e autoridades nos lugares celestes,
to the intent that now to the principalities and powers in the heavenly regions might be known through the church the manifold wisdom of God,
according to his purpose for ages, which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord; (aiōn g165)
12 no qual temos coragem e acesso confiante pela fé nele.
in whom we have our boldness and our access in confidence, through faith in him.
13 Portanto, eu [vos] peço que não vos desanimeis em minhas aflições por vós. Elas são a vossa glória.
Wherefore I entreat you not to be disheartened by the troubles I am suffering for you, since they are your glory.
14 Por causa disso me ponho de joelhos diante do Pai;
For this cause I bend my knees to the Father,
15 do qual toda a família nos céus e na terra recebe nome.
from whom every family in heaven and on earth receiveth its name,
16 [Oro] para que, conforme a sua riquíssima glória, ele vos conceda que sejais fortalecidos com poder pelo seu Espírito no interior de cada um,
that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
17 para que Cristo habite em vossos corações pela fé. [Oro] para que vós estejais enraizados e firmados no amor,
that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, ye having been rooted and grounded in love,
18 e assim possais compreender, com todos os santos, qual é a largura, comprimento, profundidade, e altura,
that ye may be able to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height,
19 e conhecer o amor de Cristo, que excede o entendimento, para que sejais cheios de toda a plenitude de Deus.
and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye may be filled unto all the fullness of God.
20 E quanto àquele que é poderoso para fazer tudo muito mais abundantemente do que pedimos ou pensamos, segundo o poder que opera em nós,
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
