2 Reis 9
1 Então o profeta Eliseu chamou a um dos filhos dos profetas, e disse-lhe: Cinge teus lombos, e toma esta vasilha de azeite em tua mão, e vai a Ramote de Gileade.
Elisha the prophet called one of the sons of the prophets, and said to him, "Put your belt on your waist, take this vial of oil in your hand, and go to Ramoth Gilead.
2 E quando chegares ali, verás ali a Jeú filho de Josafá filho de Ninsi; e entrando, faze-o se levantar dentre seus irmãos, e mete-o na recâmara.
When you come there, find Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi, and go in, and make him arise up from among his brothers, and carry him to an inner room.
3 Toma logo a vasilha de azeite, e derrama-a sobre sua cabeça, e dize: Assim disse o SENHOR: Eu te ungi por rei sobre Israel. E abrindo a porta, lança-te a fugir, e não esperes.
Then take the vial of oil, and pour it on his head, and say, 'Thus says the LORD, "I have anointed you king over Israel."' Then open the door, flee, and do not wait."
4 Foi, pois, o jovem, o jovem do profeta, a Ramote de Gileade.
So the young prophet went to Ramoth Gilead.
5 E quando ele entrou, eis que os príncipes do exército que estavam sentados. E ele disse: Príncipe, uma palavra tenho que dizer-te. E Jeú disse: A qual de todos nós? E ele disse: A ti, príncipe.
When he came, look, the captains of the army were sitting. Then he said, "I have a message for you, captain." Jehu said, "To which of us all?" He said, "To you, O captain."
6 E ele se levantou, e entrou-se em casa; e o outro derramou o azeite sobre sua cabeça, e disse-lhe: Assim disse o SENHOR Deus de Israel: Eu te ungi por rei sobre o povo do SENHOR, sobre Israel.
He arose, and went into the house. Then he poured the oil on his head, and said to him, "Thus says the LORD, the God of Israel, 'I have anointed you king over the people of the LORD, even over Israel.
7 E ferirás a casa de Acabe teu senhor, para que eu vingue o sangue de meus servos os profetas, e o sangue de todos os servos do SENHOR, da mão de Jezabel.
You shall strike the house of Ahab your master, that I may avenge the blood of my servants the prophets, and the blood of all the servants of the LORD, at the hand of Jezebel.
8 E perecerá toda a casa de Acabe, e exterminarei de Acabe todo macho, tanto ao escravo como ao livre em Israel.
For the whole house of Ahab shall perish. I will cut off from Ahab everyone who urinates against a wall, both him who is shut up and him who is left at large in Israel.
9 E eu porei a casa de Acabe como a casa de Jeroboão filho de Nebate, e como a casa de Baasa filho de Aías.
I will make the house of Ahab like the house of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, and like the house of Baasha the son of Ahijah.
10 E a Jezabel comerão cães no campo de Jezreel, e não haverá quem a sepulte. Em seguida abriu a porta, e lançou a fugir.
The dogs will eat Jezebel on the plot of ground of Jezreel, and there shall be none to bury her.'" He opened the door, and fled.
11 Depois saiu Jeú aos servos de seu senhor, e disseram-lhe: Há paz? para que entrou a ti aquele louco? E ele lhes disse: Vós conheceis ao homem e suas palavras.
Then Jehu came forth to the servants of his lord: and one said to him, "Is all well? Why did this mad fellow come to you?" He said to them, "You know the man and what his talk was."
12 E eles disseram: Mentira; declara-o a nós agora. E ele disse: Assim e assim me falou, dizendo: Assim disse o SENHOR: Eu te ungi por rei sobre Israel.
They said, "That is a lie. Tell us now." He said, "He said to me, 'Thus says the LORD, I have anointed you king over Israel.'"
13 Então tomaram prontamente sua roupa, e a pôs cada um debaixo dele em um trono alto, e tocaram trombeta, e disseram: Jeú é rei.
Then they hurried, and took every man his garment, and put it under him on the top of the stairs, and blew the trumpet, saying, "Jehu is king."
14 Assim conjurou Jeú filho de Josafá filho de Ninsi, contra Jorão. (Estava Jorão guardando a Ramote de Gileade com todo Israel, por causa de Hazael rei da Síria.
So Jehu the son of Jehoshaphat the son of Nimshi conspired against Joram. (Now Joram was keeping Ramoth Gilead, he and all Israel, because of Hazael king of Aram;
15 Havia-se, porém, voltado o rei Jorão a Jezreel, para curar-se das feridas que os sírios lhe haviam feito, lutando contra Hazael rei da Síria.) E Jeú disse: Se é vossa vontade, ninguém escape da cidade, para ir a dar as novas em Jezreel.
but king Joram was returned to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds which the Arameans had given him, when he fought with Hazael king of Aram.) Jehu said, "If this is your thinking, then let no one escape and go out of the city, to go to tell it in Jezreel."
16 Então Jeú cavalgou, e foi-se a Jezreel, porque Jorão estava ali enfermo. Também Acazias rei de Judá havia descido a visitar a Jorão.
So Jehu rode in a chariot, and went to Jezreel; for Joram lay there. Ahaziah king of Judah had come down to see Joram.
17 E o atalaia que estava na torre de Jezreel, viu a tropa de Jeú, que vinha, e disse: Eu vejo uma tropa. E Jorão disse: Toma um cavaleiro, e envia a reconhecê-los, e que lhes diga: Há paz?
Now the watchman was standing on the tower in Jezreel, and he spied the company of Jehu as he came, and said, "I see a company." Joram said, "Take a horseman, and send to meet them, and let him say, 'Is it peace?'"
18 Foi pois o cavaleiro a reconhecê-los, e disse: O rei diz assim: Há paz? E Jeú lhe disse: Que tens tu que ver com a paz? Sai da minha frente. O atalaia deu logo aviso, dizendo: O mensageiro chegou até eles, e não volta.
So there went one on horseback to meet him, and said, "Thus says the king, 'Is it peace?'" Jehu said, "What do you have to do with peace? Fall in behind me." The watchman said, "The messenger came to them, but he isn't coming back."
19 Então enviou outro cavaleiro, o qual chegando a eles, disse: O rei diz assim: Há paz? E Jeú respondeu: Que tens tu que ver com a paz? Sai da minha frente.
Then he sent out a second on horseback, who came to them, and said, "Thus says the king, 'Is it peace?'" Jehu answered, "What do you have to do with peace? Fall in behind me."
20 O atalaia voltou a dizer: Também este chegou a eles e não volta: mas o marchar do que vem é como o marchar de Jeú filho de Ninsi, porque vem impetuosamente.
The watchman said, "He came to them, and isn't coming back. The driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he drives furiously."
21 Então Jorão disse: Prepara. E preparado que foi seu carro, saiu Jorão rei de Israel, e Acazias rei de Judá, cada um em seu carro, e saíram a encontrar a Jeú, ao qual acharam na propriedade de Nabote de Jezreel.
Joram said, "Get ready." They got his chariot ready. Joram king of Israel and Ahaziah king of Judah went out, each in his chariot, and they went out to meet Jehu, and found him in the portion of Naboth the Jezreelite.
22 E em vendo Jorão a Jeú, disse: Há paz, Jeú? E ele respondeu: Que paz, com as fornicações de Jezabel tua mãe, e suas muitas feitiçarias?
It happened, when Joram saw Jehu, that he said, "Is it peace, Jehu?" He answered, "What peace, so long as the prostitution of your mother Jezebel and her witchcraft abound?"
23 Então Jorão virando a mão fugiu, e disse a Acazias: Traição, Acazias!
Joram turned his hands, and fled, and said to Ahaziah, "There is treason, Ahaziah."
24 Mas Jeú flechou seu arco, e feriu a Jorão entre as costas, e a seta saiu por seu coração, e caiu em seu carro.
Jehu drew his bow with his full strength, and shot Joram between his arms; and the arrow went out at his heart, and he sunk down in his chariot.
25 Disse logo Jeú a Bidcar seu capitão: Toma-o e lança-o em um lugar da propriedade de Nabote de Jezreel. Lembra-te que quando tu e eu íamos juntos com a gente de Acabe seu pai, o SENHOR pronunciou esta sentença sobre ele, dizendo:
Then Jehu said to Bidkar his captain, "Pick him up, and throw him in the plot of the field of Naboth the Jezreelite; for I remember how when you and I rode together behind Ahab his father, the LORD pronounced this judgment on him:
26 Que eu vi ontem os sangues de Nabote, e os sangues de seus filhos, disse o SENHOR; e tenho de dar-te a paga nesta propriedade, disse o SENHOR. Toma-lhe pois agora, e lança-o na propriedade, conforme à palavra do SENHOR.
'Surely I have seen yesterday the blood of Naboth, and the blood of his sons,' says the LORD; 'and I will repay you in this plot of ground,' says the LORD. Now therefore take and cast him onto the plot of ground, according to the word of the LORD."
27 E vendo isto Acazias rei de Judá, fugiu pelo caminho da casa da horta. E siguiu-o Jeú, dizendo: Feri também a este no carro. E lhe feriram à subida de Gur, junto a Ibleão. E ele fugiu a Megido, e morreu ali.
But when Ahaziah the king of Judah saw this, he fled by the way of the garden house. Jehu followed after him, and said, "Shoot him also." And they shot him in the chariot at the ascent of Gur, which is by Ibleam. He fled to Megiddo, and died there.
28 E seus servos lhe levaram em um carro a Jerusalém, e ali lhe sepultaram com seus pais, em seu sepulcro na cidade de Davi.
His servants carried him in a chariot to Jerusalem, and buried him in his tomb with his fathers in the City of David.
29 No décimo primeiro ano de Jorão filho de Acabe, começou a reinar Acazias sobre Judá.
In the eleventh year of Joram the son of Ahab began Ahaziah to reign over Judah.
30 Veio depois Jeú a Jezreel: e quando Jezabel o ouviu, adornou seus olhos, enfeitou sua cabeça, e ficou observando em uma janela.
When Jehu had come to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; and she painted her eyes, and attired her head, and looked out at the window.
31 E quando entrava Jeú pela porta, ela disse: Sucedeu bem a Zinri, que matou a seu senhor?
As Jehu entered in at the gate, she said, "Do you come in peace, Zimri, you murderer of your master?"
32 Levantando ele então seu rosto até a janela, disse: Quem é comigo? Quem? E olharam até ele dois ou três eunucos.
He lifted up his face to the window, and said, "Who is on my side? Who?" Two or three eunuchs looked out at him.
33 E ele lhes disse: Lançai-a abaixo. E eles a lançaram: e parte de seu sangue foi salpicado na parede, e nos cavalos; e ele a atropelou.
He said, "Throw her down." So they threw her down; and some of her blood was sprinkled on the wall, and on the horses. Then he trampled her under foot.
34 Entrou logo, e depois que comeu e bebeu, disse: Ide agora a ver aquela maldita, e sepultai-a; que é filha de rei.
When he had come in, he ate and drink; and he said, "See now to this cursed woman, and bury her; for she is a king's daughter."
35 Porém quando foram para sepultá-la, não acharam dela mais que o crânio, e os pés, e as palmas das mãos.
They went to bury her; but they found no more of her than the skull, and the feet, and the palms of her hands.
36 E voltaram, e disseram-no. E ele disse: A palavra de Deus é esta, a qual ele falou por meio de seu servo Elias Tisbita, dizendo: Na propriedade de Jezreel comerão os cães as carnes de Jezabel.
Therefore they came back, and told him. He said, "This is the word of the LORD, which he spoke by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, saying, 'The dogs will eat the flesh of Jezebel on the plot of Jezreel,
37 E o corpo de Jezabel foi qual lixo sobre a face da terra na herdade de Jezreel; de maneira que ninguém podia dizer: Esta é Jezabel.
and the body of Jezebel shall be as dung on the face of the field in the portion of Jezreel, so that they shall not say, "This is Jezebel."'"
