2 Reis 15

1 No ano vinte e sete de Jeroboão, rei de Israel, começou a reinar Azarias, filho de Amazias, rei de Judá.

In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, began Azariah son of Amaziah king of Judah to reign.

2 Quando começou a reinar tinha dezesseis anos, e reinou cinquenta e dois anos em Jerusalém; o nome de sua mãe foi Jecolias, de Jerusalém.

Sixteen years old, was he when he began to reign, and, fifty-two years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, the name of his mother, was Jecholiah, of Jerusalem.

3 E fez o que era correto aos olhos do SENHOR, conforme todas as coisas que seu pai Amazias havia feito.

And he did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, —according to all that, Amaziah his father, had done.

4 Contudo, os altos não foram tirados; pois o povo ainda sacrificava e queimava incenso nos altos.

Only, the high places, took they not away, —still were the people sacrificing and burning incense in the high places.

5 Mas o SENHOR feriu ao rei com lepra, e foi leproso até o dia de sua morte, e habitou em casa separada. Jotão, filho do rei tinha o cargo do palácio, governando o povo da terra.

And Yahweh smote the king, so that he became a leper, until the day of his death, and dwelt in a lazar-house, —and, Jotham, son of the king, was over the house, judging the people of the land.

6 Os demais dos feitos de Azarias, e todas as coisas que fez, não estão escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Judá?

Now, the rest of the story of Azariah, and all that he did, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah.

7 Azarias descansou com seus pais, e sepultaram-no com seus pais na cidade de Davi; e Jotão, seu filho, reinou em seu lugar.

And Azariah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers, in the city of David, —and, Jotham his son, reigned, in his stead.

8 No ano trinta e oito de Azarias rei de Judá, reinou Zacarias, filho de Jeroboão, sobre Israel por seis meses.

In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, began Zechariah son of Jeroboam to reign over Israel, in Samaria, [and he reigned] six months.

9 E fez o que era mau aos olhos do SENHOR, como seus ancestrais haviam feito; ele não se afastou dos pecados de Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, o que fez pecar a Israel.

And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, as did his fathers, —he turned not away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he caused, Israel, to commit.

10 Contra ele se conspirou Salum, filho de Jabes, e o feriu em presença do seu povo; e o matou, e reinou em seu lugar.

Then conspired against him, Shallum son of Jabesh, and smote him before the people, and slew him, —and reigned in his stead.

11 Os demais dos feitos de Zacarias, eis que estão escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel.

Now, the rest of the story of Zechariah, behold it! written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

12 E esta foi a palavra do SENHOR que havia falado a Jeú, dizendo: Teus filhos até a quarta geração se sentarão no trono de Israel. E assim foi.

That, was the word of Yahweh, which he spake unto Jehu, saying, Thy sons, to four generations, shall sit on the throne of Israel. And it was so!

13 Salum, filho de Jabes, começou a reinar no ano trinta e nove de Uzias rei de Judá, e reinou pelo tempo de um mês em Samaria;

Shallum the son of Jabesh, began to reign, in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah, king of Judah, —for the space of a month in Samaria.

14 Pois subiu Menaém, filho de Gadi, de Tirsa, e veio a Samaria, e feriu Salum, filho de Jabes, em Samaria, e o matou, e reinou em seu lugar.

Then came up Menahem son of Gadi, from Tirzah, and entered Samaria, and smote Shallum son of Jabesh in Samaria, —and slew him, and reigned in his stead.

15 Os demais dos feitos de Salum, e sua conspiração com que conspirou, eis que estão escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel.

Now, the rest of the story of Shallum, and his conspiracy which he made, behold them! written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel!

16 Então feriu Menaém a Tifsa, e a todos os que estavam nela, e também seus termos desde Tirsa; e feriu-a porque não lhe haviam aberto; e fendeu o ventre de todas as suas grávidas.

Then, Menahem smote Tiphsah, and all that were therein, and the boundaries thereof, from Tirzah, because they opened not, therefore he smote them, —all the women therein that were with child, he ripped up.

17 No ano trinta e nove de Azarias, rei de Judá, reinou Menaém, filho de Gadi, sobre Israel, por dez anos, em Samaria.

In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, began Menahem son of Gadi to reign over Israel, ten years [reigned he], in Samaria.

18 E fez o que era mau aos olhos do SENHOR; ele não se afastou em todo o seu tempo dos pecados de Jeroboão, filho de Nebate, o que fez Israel pecar.

And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —he turned not away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he caused, Israel, to commit, all his days.

19 E veio Pul, rei da Assíria, à terra; e Menaém deu a Pul mil talentos de prata para lhe ajudasse a se firmar no reino.

Pul the king of Assyria came against the land, so Menahem gave unto Pul, a thousand talents of silver, —that his hands might be with him, to confirm the kingdom, in his hand.

20 E impôs Menaém este dinheiro sobre Israel, sobre todos os poderosos e ricos: de cada um cinquenta siclos de prata, para dar ao rei da Assíria, e o rei da Assíria voltou, e não ficou ali na terra.

And Menahem exacted the silver of Israel, of all the mighty men of wealth, to give to the king of Assyria, fifty shekels of silver, of each man, —so the king of Assyria turned back, and stayed not there, in the land.

21 Os demais dos feitos de Menaém, e todas as coisas que fez, acaso não estão escritas no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel?

Now, the rest of the story of Menahem, and all that he did, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

22 Menaém descansou com seus pais, e reinou em seu lugar seu filho Pecaías.

And Menahem slept with his fathers, —and, Pekahiah his son, reigned in his stead.

23 No ano cinquenta de Azarias rei de Judá, reinou Pecaías filho de Menaém sobre Israel em Samaria, dois anos.

In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, began Pekahiah son of Menahem to reign over Israel, in Samaria, [and he reigned] two years.

24 E fez o que era mau aos olhos do SENHOR: não se separou dos pecados de Jeroboão filho de Nebate, o que fez Israel pecar.

And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —he turned not away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he caused, Israel, to commit.

25 E conspirou contra ele Peca filho de Remalias, capitão seu, e feriu-o em Samaria, no palácio da casa real, em companhia de Argobe e de Arié, e com cinquenta homens dos filhos dos gileaditas; e o matou, e reinou em seu lugar.

And there conspired against him—Pekah son of Remaliah, a hero of his, and smote him in Samaria, in the citadel of the house of a king, with Argob and with Arieh, and, with him, fifty men of the sons of the Gileadites, —and he slew him, and reigned in his stead.

26 Os demais dos feitos de Pecaías, e todas as coisas que fez, eis que estão escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel.

Now, the rest of the story of Pekahiah, and all that he did, behold them! written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel!

27 No ano cinquenta e dois de Azarias rei de Judá, reinou Peca, filho de Remalias sobre Israel em Samaria; e reinou vinte anos.

In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, began Pekah son of Remaliah to reign over Israel, in Samaria, [and he reigned] twenty years.

28 E fez o que era mau aos olhos do SENHOR; não se separou dos pecados de Jeroboão filho de Nebate, o que fez pecar a Israel.

And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —he turned not away from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he caused, Israel, to commit.

29 Nos dias de Peca rei de Israel, veio Tiglate-Pileser rei dos assírios, e tomou a Ijom, Abel-Bete-Maaca, e Janoa, e Quedes, e Hazor, e Gileade, e Galileia, e toda a terra de Naftali; e transportou-os à Assíria.

In the days of Pekah king of Israel, came Tiglath-pileser, king of Assyria, and took Ijon, and Abel-beth-maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali—and carried them away captive to Assyria.

30 E Oseias filho de Elá fez conspiração contra Peca filho de Remalias, e feriu-o, e o matou, e reinou em seu lugar, aos vinte anos de Jotão filho de Uzias.

And Hoshea son of Elah made a conspiracy against Pekah, son of Remaliah, and smote him, and slew him, and reigned in his stead, —in the twentieth year of Jotham, son of Uzziah.

31 Os demais dos feitos de Peca, e tudo o que fez, eis que está escrito no livro das crônicas dos reis de Israel.

Now, the rest of the story of Pekah, and all that he did, behold them! written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel!

32 No segundo ano de Peca filho de Remalias rei de Israel, começou a reinar Jotão filho de Uzias rei de Judá.

In the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah king of Israel, began Jotham son of Uzziah king of Judah to reign.

33 Quando começou a reinar era de vinte e cinco anos, e reinou dezesseis anos em Jerusalém. O nome de sua mãe foi Jerusa filha de Zadoque.

Twenty-five years old, was he, when he began to reign, and, sixteen years, reigned he, in Jerusalem, —and, the name of his mother, was Jerusha, daughter of Zadok.

34 E ele fez o que era correto aos olhos do SENHOR; fez conforme todas as coisas que havia feito seu pai Uzias.

And he did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, —according to all that Uzziah his father had done.

35 Com tudo isso os altos não foram tirados; que o povo sacrificava ainda, e queimava incenso nos altos. Edificou ele a porta mais alta da casa do SENHOR.

Only, the high places, took they not away, still were the people offering sacrifice and burning incense in the high places, —he, built the upper gate of the house of Yahweh.

36 Os demais dos feitos de Jotão, e todas as coisas que fez, não estão escritos no livro das crônicas dos reis de Judá?

Now, the rest of the story of Jotham, what he did, is, it, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

37 Naquele tempo começou o SENHOR a enviar contra Judá a Resim rei da Síria, e a Peca filho de Remalias.

In those days, began Yahweh to send against Judah, Rezin, king of Syria, —and Pekah son of Remaliah.

38 E descansou Jotão com seus pais, e foi sepultado com seus pais na cidade de Davi seu pai; e reinou em seu lugar Acaz seu filho.

And Jotham slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers, in the city of David his father, —and, Ahaz his son, reigned, in his stead.
