1 Samuel 1
1 Houve um homem de Ramataim de Zofim, do monte de Efraim, que se chamava Elcana, filho de Jeroão, filho de Eliú, filho de Toú, filho de Zufe, efraimita.
`A man was of `Ramathym of Sophym, of the hil of Effraym, and his name was Elchana, the sone of Jeroboam, sone of Elyud, sone of Thau, sone of Suph, of Effraym.
2 E tinha ele duas mulheres; o nome da uma era Ana, e o nome da outra Penina. E Penina tinha filhos, mas Ana não os tinha.
And Helchana hadde twei wyues; the name `to oon was Anna, and the `name of the secounde was Fenenna; and sones weren to Feuenna; forsothe fre children `weren not to Anna.
3 E esse homem subia todos os anos de sua cidade, para adorar e sacrificar ao SENHOR dos exércitos em Siló. E ali estavam os dois filhos de Eli, Hofni e Fineias, sacerdotes do SENHOR.
And thilke man styede fro his citee in daies ordeyned, to worschipe and offre sacrifice to the Lord of oostis in Silo. Forsothe twei sones of Heli weren there, Ophym and Fynees, preestis of the Lord.
4 E quando vinha o dia, Elcana sacrificava, e dava à sua mulher Penina, e a todos os seus filhos e a todas as suas filhas, a cada um a sua porção.
Therfor the dai cam, and Helcana offride, and yaf partis to Fenenna, his wijf, and to alle hise sones and douytris;
5 Mas a Ana ele dava uma porção selecionada; porque amava a Ana, ainda que o SENHOR houvesse fechado sua madre.
forsothe he yaf soreufuly o part to Anna, for he louyde Anna; forsothe the Lord hadde closid hir wombe.
6 E sua concorrente a irritava, irando-a e entristecendo-a, porque o SENHOR havia fechado sua madre.
And hir enemy turmentide `hir, and angwischide greetly, in so myche that sche vpbreidide, that the Lord hadde closid hir wombe.
7 E assim fazia cada ano: quando subia à casa do SENHOR, irritava assim à outra; pelo qual ela chorava, e não comia.
And so sche dide `bi alle yeeris, whanne `in tyme comynge ayen, thei stieden in to the hows of the Lord; and so sche terride Anna. Forsothe Anna wepte, and took not mete.
8 E Elcana seu marido lhe disse: Ana, por que choras? Por que não comes? E por que está afligido teu coração? Não te sou eu melhor que dez filhos?
Therfor Helcana, hir hosebonde, seide to hir, Anna, whi wepist thou, and whi etist thou not, and whi is thin herte turmentid? Whether Y am not betere to thee than ben ten sones?
9 E levantou-se Ana depois que havia comido e bebido em Siló; e enquanto o sacerdote Eli estava sentado em uma cadeira junto a um pilar do templo do SENHOR,
`Sotheli Anna roos, aftir that sche hadde ete and drunke in Silo. `And the while Hely was on his greet seete, bifor the postis of the `hows of the Lord,
10 Ela com amargura de alma orou ao SENHOR, e chorou abundantemente.
whanne Anna was in bittere soule, sche preyede the Lord, and wepte largeli;
11 E fez um voto, dizendo: “SENHOR dos exércitos, se olhares a aflição da tua serva, e te lembrares de mim, e não te esqueceres da tua serva, mas deres à tua serva um filho homem, eu o dedicarei ao SENHOR todos os dias da sua vida, e não subirá navalha sobre sua cabeça”.
and made a vow, and seide, Lord God of oostis, if thou biholdist, and seest the turment of thi seruauntesse, and hast mynde of me, and foryetis not thin handmayde, and yyuest to thi seruauntesse `a male kynde, Y schal yyue hym to the Lord in alle daies of his lijf, and a rasour schal not stie on his heed.
12 E sucedeu que, enquanto ela continuava a orar diante do SENHOR, Eli observava a sua boca.
Forsothe it was doon, whanne sche multipliede preieris bifor the Lord, that Ely aspiede hir mouth.
13 Mas Ana falava em seu coração, e somente se moviam seus lábios, e sua voz não se ouvia; e pensava Eli que ela estava embriagada.
Forsothe Anna spak in hir herte, and oneli hir lippis weren mouyd, and outerly hir vois was not herd. Therfor Hely gesside hir drunkun,
14 Então, disse-lhe Eli: “Até quando estarás embriagada? Afasta-te do vinho”.
and he seide to hyr, Hou longe schalt thou be drunkun? Difye thou a litil the wyn, `bi which thou art moist.
15 E Ana lhe respondeu: Não, meu senhor; eu sou uma mulher sofredora de espírito. Não bebi vinho nem bebida forte, mas tenho derramado minha alma diante do SENHOR.
Anna answeride, and seide, Nay, my lord, for Y am `a wretchid womman greetli; Y `drank not wyn `and al thing that may make drunkun, but Y schedde out my soule in the `siyt of the Lord;
16 Não consideres a tua serva como mulher ímpia, porque é da grandeza das minhas angústias e da minha aflição que tenho falado até agora.
gesse thou not thin handmaide as oon of the douytris of Belyal, for of the multitude of my sorewe and morenyng Y spak `til in to present tyme.
17 E Eli respondeu: “Vai em paz, e o Deus de Israel te conceda o pedido que lhe fizeste”.
Thanne Hely seide to hir, Go thou in pees, and God of Israel yyue to thee the axyng which thou preiedist hym.
18 E ela disse: “Que a tua serva ache favor diante de teus olhos”. E a mulher se foi seu caminho, e comeu, e não esteve mais triste.
And sche seide, `Y wolde that thin hondmayde fynde grace in thin iyen. And the womman yede in to hir weie, and eet; and hir cheris weren no more chaungid dyuersly.
19 E levantando-se de manhã, adoraram diante do SENHOR, e voltaram, e vieram a sua casa em Ramá. E Elcana se deitou com sua mulher Ana, e o SENHOR se lembrou dela.
And `thei ryseden eerly, and worschipiden bifore the Lord; and thei turneden ayen, and camen in to hir hows in Ramatha. Forsothe Helchana knew fleischli Anna, his wijf; and the Lord thouyte on hir.
20 E sucedeu que, corrido o tempo, depois de Ana haver concebido, deu à luz um filho, e pôs-lhe o nome de Samuel, dizendo: “Pois eu o pedi ao SENHOR”.
And it was doon after the cumpas of daies, Anna conseyuede, and childide a sone, and sche clepide his name Samuel; for sche hadde axid hym of the Lord.
21 Depois subiu o homem Elcana, com toda sua família, a sacrificar ao SENHOR o sacrifício costumeiro, e seu voto.
Forsothe hir hosebonde Helcana stiede, and al his hows, to offre a solempne sacrifice, and his avow to the Lord.
22 Mas Ana não subiu, mas sim disse a seu marido: Eu não subirei até que o menino seja desmamado; para que o leve e seja apresentado diante do SENHOR, e fique ali para sempre.
And Anna stiede not, for sche hadde seid to hir hosebonde, Y schal not go, til the yonge child be wenyd, and til Y lede hym, and he appere bifor the `siyt of the Lord, and dwelle there contynueli.
23 E Elcana seu marido lhe respondeu: Faze o que bem te parecer; fica-te até que o desmames; somente o SENHOR cumpra sua palavra. E ficou a mulher, e creu seu filho até que o desmamou.
And Helcana, hir hosebonde, seide to hir, Do thou that that semeth good to thee, and dwelle thou til thou wene hym; and Y biseche, that the Lord fille his word. Therfor the womman dwellide, and yaf mylk to hir sone, til sche remouyde hym fro mylk.
24 E depois que o desmamou, levou-o consigo, com três bezerros, e um efa de farinha, e uma vasilha de vinho, e trouxe-o à casa do SENHOR em Siló: e o menino era pequeno.
And sche brouyte hym with hir, aftir that sche hadde wened hym, with thre caluys, and thre buyschelis of mele, and amfore, `ether a pot, of wyn; and sche brouyte hym to the hows of the Lord in Silo. Forsothe the child was yit ful yonge.
25 E matando o bezerro, trouxeram o menino a Eli.
And thei sacrifieden a calf, and thei offriden the child to Hely.
26 E ela disse: Oh, senhor meu! Vive tua alma, senhor meu, eu sou aquela mulher que esteve aqui junto a ti orando ao SENHOR.
And Anna seide, My lord, Y biseche, that is, that this child be thi `disciple and seruaunt, thi soule lyueth; Y am that womman, that stood bifor thee here, and preiede the Lord;
27 Por este menino orava, e o SENHOR me deu o que lhe pedi.
for this child Y preiede, and the Lord yaf to me myn axyng which Y axide hym;
28 Eu, pois, o devolvo também ao SENHOR: todos os dias que viver, será do SENHOR. E adorou ali ao SENHOR.
therfor Y haue youe hym to the Lord `in alle daies, in whiche he is youun to the Lord. And thei worschypiden there the Lord.
